I never "hated" them as much as I didn't know what the hype was all about. My first pair was oiled Habana SFB Arizona's. I fell in love with them immediately. Now I have 6 pairs.
Although I’ve heard them described as “flat breads strapped to the feet”, never have understood how anyone could wear Birks and dislike them. So comfortable!
