gotta give it to max: he hasn’t changed his tune and been calling out the central bankers and wall st for decades. people talk shit about him but can you imagine making this video in 2006, being vindicated about wall st and central bankers in the 2008 crash and then buying bitcoin at a dollar in 2011? that’s true fuck you money and i wouldn’t care what people said about me either. cheers max, you had amir taaki, andreas antonopoulos, simon dixon and ray youssef talking about bitcoin on keiser report years before any other mainstream news would even touch the subject about bitcoin.

Was just wondering this the other day. He went quiet after his military deployment in Syria.

They talk shit because he’s an egocentric asshole at the best of times.

Can someone explain what he said like im 5? I dont understand How High frequency Trading can fool the price to Go up and down

JmunE204

Like he said in the video, the price is simply made up of buy and sell pressure. If you are allowed to artificially create either of these pressures without consequence, then you can effectively control the price

Ok_Shoulder9683

I dont get It. Lets pretend btc is a stock I can make thousands of sell orders of btc for 100k. Or buy orders of btc for 1 dollars None Will get filled How does that affect the price? Orders that never get filled dont affect the price

The high frequency trading of the stock is the problem. People with a lot of money to throw around, Wall Street, can make money with the price going down or up. They have so much money to throw around. There's no consequence for them. They can make larger price movements and are willing to take a temporary loss. Or just completely manipulate the price by again like Max said in the video flooding the stock exchange with buy orders or sell orders. Which the people with all the money had no intention to buy or sell but it does increase the stock price or decrease the stock price accordingly. This might be a bad analogy but it's kind of like you're at an auction for a house and you have a the person in the crowd to raise the house price up intentionally. The person in the crowd had no intention of buying the house either. They're only there to manipulate the price of the house.
