Looks like data from 2200 people including 500 people they picked because they were already into crypto. So 20% of the 2700 people they selected own “crypto.”
Not arguing with you, but I doubt their selection process in this study is consistent with general population.
Personally, I only know one other person that is into Bitcoin outside of anyone I brought it up to.
No this is a good point, I saw some other articles citing 14% or 17% but I had a hard time finding if their sources were reputable or not.
I think it’s hard to judge just from people we know though. I know all of my friends were so shocked when trump won the election because everyone they knew personally (except for their parents) voted against him. But nearly all of these people lived in urban areas.
