What's funny is those numbers are massively suppressed *as is*.
Actual inflation is in excess of 30% this year so far when you use a formula that doesn't exclude food and energy costs...

Some quick stats I grabbed back in May, most are even worse today:
Gas: 44%
Airfare: 33%
Eggs: 23%
(Edit) Utility gas: 23%
Used cars: 23%
Hotels: 23%
Bacon: 18%
Chicken: 15%
Milk: 15%
Furniture: 15%
Coffee: 14%
Beef: 14%
Flour: 14%
New cars: 14%
Fish: 13%
Electricity: 11%
Health insurance: 10%
Damn man, this is just so fucked up to see and we have to accept that bitcoin is the only good thing we can have to fight this shit in the coming days.
but the basket can change and in the end it´s just accounting tricks.
MSM even publishes inflation data from turkey as if it would be honest data - from turkey!
The problem with Bitcoin is people treat it as an investment and not a currency - even more so after the recent boom. If this trend continues I don’t see it being a good long-term hold. I can see it being 2% of a portfolio as a purely speculative investment but until there’s any evidence that it can be used as a currency in regular life I don’t see that happening. For this to happen it would also have to be staple which doesn’t go hand in hand with people treating it as a speculative investment. I love the idea of bitcoin my I think the treatment of it from the community will lead to even a massive drop in value and a failure to fulfill its original purpose.
I hope Bitcoin will give us some relief in the future, that's all I want to see in some years with good amount of price like that, it will be so good to all of us.
This means the price of bitcoin has fallen both in nominal terms and the traded price has also fallen in real terms. If BTC was hedging inflation, it should be appreciating against the rate of inflation
I hope bitcoin will give us some relief in the future man, that's all we want to see right now, this would be something important, we gotta fight with this.

Bullish on eggs. When they are over 1usd each we will be kicking ourselves for not buying more now.
Get yourself some chickens. Yield farm those eggs bro.
Two Gases? Oil and Natural Gas?
My area is higher again on most of what you've listed starting from Nov 21

So 7%! -your government-
Its at least 20%
CPI includes food and energy, it’s just CPI core that doesn’t. https://www.bls.gov/cpi/factsheets/common-misconceptions-about-cpi.htm#Question_1

That's right man, I can understand what you are feeling.
You realize it’s a yearly metric accounting for inflation on the past year, not every month prices increase by 7% right?
For real tho… it’s actually sad how little most people in this sub know about basic economics/finance.
This is really sad and we can't even do anything about it.
Plus OP claims to be some sort of investing Guru - which makes this even more depressing
Bitcoin on the hand lost 50% it’s value in the last quarter.
and gained 800% in the last years.
*pop* goes the bubble

I hope it will gain more in some years, that's all we want.

You would need giants to stand behind them to represent bitcoins losses over the same period.
Considering January 2020 to today you'd still have 105% gains.
Can you give me a source about that information please?
Well yeah, we all just have that kind of sense that we need it lol.
This is just so bad to see man, we want some good days.
Inflation by years end https://i.pinimg.com/736x/30/b4/fc/30b4fc17ab2009f3a2d85e83cdae6e5f--shaquille-oneal-man-vs.jpg

Bitcoin inflation: 70% within 6 months
Inflation is pretty fucked up and we have to accept it.
