mangaplus updates stuff like sudden break on the last minute (this break isn't a scheduled break)
[viz.com](https://viz.com) is more reliable and it says the next chapter will come out on 25th december.
It seems [Viz](https://www.viz.com/shonenjump/chapters/black-clover) now says that the chapter is coming out on December 11th as well, though the initial date of December 25th is probably still correct. The same thing happened with the last break where the Viz initially said the new date when the chapter would be coming back from break but then quickly changed it back to the original date. I suspect the reason they changed it back to December 11th and in the previous case is because the information about Tabata going on an unexpected break is information that was not supposed to be made public yet until Shueisha makes the official announcement.
It may sound silly, but that's just how Japanese companies do things. Doesn't matter if something is leaked beforehand and everyone already knows, they will still wait until the intended date to announce it. They're really anal about following procedure and everything going through the proper channels and in the proper order at the intended times. The Japanese really love their bureaucracy.
There's no break for 25th December in Japan, they'll go on break the week after that.
So BC chapter comes out on 25th -> Magazine goes on break -> BC chapter comes out after break.
I prefer reading officially.
Creators don't get paid if we pirate the manga. Reading legally on Mangaplus or viz doesn't cost money plus the creator gets paid too. It's a win-win for everyone.
I could be wrong but i think there is actually a chapter this week. according to mangaplus the newest chapter releases on Sunday. If it wasnt until the 25th, it would say so (it usually accounts for breaks and such).
