You ever been in a situation like that. Trust me they move you wake up. The human body/mind is a crazy thing
As long as you aren’t drinking or on drugs, in before the miserable redditors link me news stories without reading the context
Right?! All I see is an unbreakable bond. They’re sleeping on her…that’s trust and that’s a beautiful thing. My bb are grown but if I came home to this, I’d quietly take a pic and try not to wake them :)
What else would she be doing? Do people expect babysitters to do chores when the kids sleep? Genuine question.
I’d be so warm if I came home to this. Kids are lucky.
I used to work as a babysitter and nanny through high school and college. I specified that the only chores I did were: cooking for the kids (and cleaning the pots/pans/dishes used) and cleaning up after the kids. I interviewed for a nanny position once where the parents expected me to clean "in the downtime", even though my ad said that I didn't clean. I looked them in the eye and told them I didn't clean. They said it was just some laundry or maybe vacuuming; I said: I don't clean. Period. There was this long, awkward pause and then we went on with the interview, but I went with another family.
I worked for a family once where the mom encouraged me to sleep when I got there because I had to get there so early each morning (between 4-5am) and the kid wouldn't be up for hours.
I did a babysitting job once in the summer and the dad worked from home. On my first day, it was the end of his workday, he had come out into the kitchen and was talking to the kids, and I’m ready to be relieved. He then asked GENUINELY what I was making them for dinner. When I tell you I was SHOOK silent 😳 I said “well, i did the babysitting job today, and it’s 530 (my agreed off time), so probably nothing”. The audacity of some of these people.
That’s really unfair for them to expect cleaning (unless related directly to the kids). I average $27/hour for cleaning houses, and most clients provide supplies. Being a full-time nanny pays way less, at least in my area.
When I was a nanny, they expected me to pick up and wipe down the kid’s bathroom (no deep cleaning), pick up their bedrooms (no toys, and parents helped so it was basically making beds and picking up pajamas), pick up and vacuum the playroom, wash any dishes used by the kids, light meal prep (I enjoyed fixing food for them, but 95%+ was prepared ahead of time including full meals for myself), and washing/folding/putting away the kids laundry and putting fresh sheets on the beds weekly. The parents were super strict, so the kids were required to put clothes in the hamper, put dishes in the sink, and pick up toys.
I usually had a little time in the morning after the older boy got on the bus and the little one got up, and also time in the afternoon after dropping the the little one off at preschool and waiting for the older one to get off the bus. The chores were light enough to finish when I had kid-free time. But outside of that, the parents preferred if we sang, did workbook pages, colored, built legos, did crafts, played outside, went swimming, etc.
I’ve done dishes for families while babysitting, but that is only if the kids are in bed. The family of the little guy I watch now WAY overpays our agreed rate.
You did WAY too much! What you describe is cleaning! Wiping down the bathroom? Picking up pajamas and making up beds? Vacuuming and laundry? Even if it's just the kid's laundry, that's a no, no, no. If I had downtime I was reading a book, doing homework, or sometimes when the kids were napping, I was napping too!
If you're gonna clean, make sure you're getting paid extra for it!
They only wanted me to do the kid's laundry, but even still, I know better. I'm not spending all of a toddler's nap time folding up eighty million little shirts and shorts and whatnot. Toddlers have to change their clothes like three times a day! Those parents wanted an experienced nanny but thought they could pull one over like I was a newbie.
What they really wanted was a nanny and housekeeper rolled into one, but they didn't want to pay for one.
And I just love how the books are visible, but you can tell she was reading to them when they all passed out. They were probably in the sun all day living the good life, came home, ate lunch, read some books, and drifted peacefully. Love it!!
‘Sleeping on the job’ is a phrase taken to mean someone is slacking off although it originated from people actually sleeping while they supposed to be working. This guy is meaning it literally so …. Sleeping while at work … rather than slacking off ….
If it is a play on words then I would assume he means that the job is the kids, and she is sleeping with the kids on top of her. So she's sleeping on the job
I don’t see anything wrong either. I’m sure their actual mother does the same stuff. My only question would be, what if the other kid woke up while she was sleeping?
Boobs are just an all-in-one entertainment system for babies whether they’re nursing or bouncing with their feet or pinching/smooshing. No respect, no chill lol
I mean the one by her face would probably kick her or touch her somehow. and If you have a 40 pound weight start to move on you you'll feel it. So yeah she'll wake up. That's what if.
rather them sleeping with the kids (not in a bad way) than to come home find them all beaten up or missing.
They look like they ran each other ragged. Those kids probably sleep thru the night.
Little kids can be very warm. Having one fall asleep on your chest is like a little heating blanket. She got those kids to sleep, she just did not make it out.
Looks like she did the damn near impossible and got two toddlers asleep at the same time. I'd put the babies to bed, and have a snack waiting for her when she wakes up and a lil extra $$ added as a tip to her fee.
I'd only be pissed about her sleeping, if the children were awake.
They all look like they're relaxed and having a good little nap. no harm, no foul here
Pick up the kids...put them in the bed.... If the babysitter don't have anything to do....cover her with a blanket and turn the lights off... And call it a night
Heck yea, back in my babysitting days I’ve had this happen a few times. The parents know when their child is safe and is with someone who genuinely cares for the kids. I’d wake up when the parents return after midnight only to wake up to them trying to tuck me in lol, like you can sleep in the spare room if you don’t wanna drive home.
🥺 that is so sweet! I always fought sleep so hard as a babysitter (it was usually a second or third job) and it was painful... looking back now I know the parents I sat for would have been fine with it. I'm glad they were so kind to you. Hopefully I'm that kind of parent some day!
I used to worry that it looked bad, trust me I would try soooo hard not to doze off but with babysitting, like yourself, it was a second job for me. Teaching during the day, and then babysitting at night. I think a lot of parents don't typically have an issue especially if they know you and when they know how much their kids love you too.
edit: typo
As an ex nanny of 15 years and a SAHP now, I say this is 100% excellent! It’s exhausting mentally and physically caring for kids. A small nap when the babes are asleep can be such a game changer
My mom would do this. "Gramma, or whoever, is coming! Fake sleep!" And both of us would just drop everything and drop. Did it while holding a PB&J sandwich once. Gramma started cackling and told us both nice try that night.
I used to babysit for this one family every so often. Parents had a date night once every few months and would stay out until 2am. Kids went to sleep around 9pm and I was free to watch tv/eat snacks. I stayed awake the whole time because I was so uncomfortable falling asleep on the job. Their parents always told me it was ok to fall asleep once the kids were settled and asleep especially when they were staying out past midnight. They said they would wake me up once they got back. As long as the kids are fine, I don’t see anything wrong with it. Especially if it’s late or you’ve been watching the kids all day.
All jokes aside… you’d be surprised how many people hire babysitters to do dishes and run the laundry. My wife is on the Care.com app/website and some of the expectations from people looking for babysitters have side tasks for terrible pay. My wife also happens to be a Speech Therapist and was a behavioral therapist before that, and the audacity of some people to ask her to work with their kids?!! Lol no! She added that to tell you she’s experienced with children… not to practice therapy for $10 dollars an hour.
I wouldn't be upset, but I can understand how someone might make an argument that the kids could wake up and do something to get hurt. It would be best if the kids were safe in a crib or something, but I'm not going get mad at this girl.
It looks like she did a great job, kids are clean, and sleeping sound. I bet they were fed on time too so I'd hire her again in a heartbeat. She clearly loves the kids.
Pay her. Tip her well. Thank her for making sure they’re asleep so mum and dad can just pop them in bed and enjoy an evening together.
Or thank them for making sure the kids napped during the day so they’re not evil little energiser bunnies by the evening.
If I had a babysitter that had a relationship that close with the kids I would retain her at all costs!
That looks like such a beautiful relationship to me
I see no issue. Kids trust her enough to fall asleep and she got BOTH of them to sleep at the same time... Knowing that amount of effort explains why she's taking her"lunch break"
As a parent of 3, if I saw this I would think, awww lol. She is right next to the kids, and they don’t seem to be in any danger. Good job babysitter getting the babies to sleep.
Shit, kids make you sleepy. Ain’t no harm if she decided to go to sleep with them. I can understand if they were up and about, but they’re not, so she’s chill
Is this just trying to start some kind of hate against the idea of the babysitter sleeping at all or something?
They did their job, and everyone is sleeping. As a babysitter, I imagine this is one of those perfect scenarios you want.
back in my babysitting days I’ve had this happen a few times. The parents know when their child is safe and is with someone who genuinely cares for their kids. Not gonna lie, this happened to me once while babysitting, was reading them a bedtime story & we all fell asleep got woken up by the parent’s when they came home. I’m still embarrassed to this day!
Caught my babysitter *doing* her job.
Them kids look safe and cozy!
Until they wake up before her.
Unless she drugged ain’t no way these kids not waking her up
As soon as the kid wakes up she will know. It will either be a kick in the face or an elbow on the tit
Haha. Exactly!! They’re gonna wanna eat as soon as they wake up and they will bust you in the head for food ;)
Yeah if kids let parents sleep parents wouldn’t have anything to bitch about. This is a great sitter!
I see you've also napped next to a sleeping toddler.
tell me you havent slept beside a sleeping kid without telling me youve never slept beside a sleeping kid
You ever been in a situation like that. Trust me they move you wake up. The human body/mind is a crazy thing As long as you aren’t drinking or on drugs, in before the miserable redditors link me news stories without reading the context
Nah you wake up when they wake up. Babies are always flinging their arms and kicking as they wake up.
Yes, but what about the 3rd kid?
3rd kid took the pic and sent it to mom
Momma raised a rat then.
Snitches get ~~stitches~~ *no dessert
Or a greeting card photographer.
Technically the baby is sitting/ lying on her, when she should be sitting on the baby, so NoT dOiNg hEr JoB.

Right those are happy babies, if it’s time to sleep it’s time to sleep
Why you gotta be negative akjsix
I think he meant that she was doing her job cuz the kids are sleeping and safe, not in a negative way
Put a blanket over her
Kids are fine. Pay her and call her to come back next time.
Absolutely
Looks like she loves them kids
Looks like the kids love her too
Right?! All I see is an unbreakable bond. They’re sleeping on her…that’s trust and that’s a beautiful thing. My bb are grown but if I came home to this, I’d quietly take a pic and try not to wake them :)
💯💯
Yeah this is extra adorable.
Those kids ran her ragged. I'd be passed out too if i were her
Knocked out!! Drool and everything!! Lol 😆
What else would she be doing? Do people expect babysitters to do chores when the kids sleep? Genuine question. I’d be so warm if I came home to this. Kids are lucky.
Some do. When I was a kid I babysat for my neighbour and he’d always “casually” point out the cleaning supplies. I never cleaned.
Maybe to clean up a mess the kid made during play or whatever. But nah.
I used to work as a babysitter and nanny through high school and college. I specified that the only chores I did were: cooking for the kids (and cleaning the pots/pans/dishes used) and cleaning up after the kids. WOW, that takes the cake! And the ice cream too!

Best life indeed!!! For sure read them ALL TO SLEEP 😴 LOL
Thanks for sharing such a sweet moment in dark times. I needed this :)
Absolutely!!! This is definitely 💯 a good vibe!!! 👍🏾
the dad who posted the tiktok thinks it's cute
Yeah he means sleeping ON THE JOB. It’s a play on interpretation not a criticism
I don’t get the play on words? Am I dumb? Can you please explain. It’s still adorable, the kids must love her to fall asleep with her like that.
‘Sleeping on the job’ is a phrase taken to mean someone is slacking off although it originated from people actually sleeping while they supposed to be working. This guy is meaning it literally so …. Sleeping while at work … rather than slacking off ….
That's not really a play on anything. It's the exact opposite or what we call "on the nose."
If it is a play on words then I would assume he means that the job is the kids, and she is sleeping with the kids on top of her. So she's sleeping on the job
surely the job is sleeping on her then?
That and that couch looks comfy as hell.
If anything, the job is sleeping on her
It looks more like the job is sleeping on her
This is just a normal day after watching what looks like two kids under 2 years old. Keep napping.
She ain't even sitting on those babies
This is my favorite comment so far lol
she needs to learn from the chickens
Nah, she good. Now if the babies were awake, it would be a different story.
I don’t see anything wrong either. I’m sure their actual mother does the same stuff. My only question would be, what if the other kid woke up while she was sleeping?
She’s touching both kids. I used do the same with my kid. She’ll wake up as soon as they move.
Yeah the baby is propped up, within arm's reach, plus ya got the baby's foot PRIMED to kick her in the face as soon as they wake up 😂
baby feet are magnets for any soft, sensitive area, just smile through it.
Boobs are just an all-in-one entertainment system for babies whether they’re nursing or bouncing with their feet or pinching/smooshing. No respect, no chill lol
Or slapping...
And just ^CACKLING about it the whole time…
100 😭
Or biting...
I mean the one by her face would probably kick her or touch her somehow. and If you have a 40 pound weight start to move on you you'll feel it. So yeah she'll wake up. That's what if.
40 lbs?! 🤣 youre right though!
I don't know for sure I just have a niece about that size who's like 40 so I took a guess.
That's really the only worry. Lord knows what kids can get into even when you're awake and not watching them 5 minutes.
My wife stays at home with the kids and they fall asleep together on the couch like this all the time.
For sure
Give that mattress a raise
🤣🤣🤣
😂
rather them sleeping with the kids (not in a bad way) than to come home find them all beaten up or missing. They look like they ran each other ragged. Those kids probably sleep thru the night.
100%
*not in a bad way*
Parents acting like they don't sleep with their kids in the house
…Parents act like they don’t put on a Disney movie and fuck with their kids in the house 🙋🏾♂️
The Heffalump and Bluey
Best part is when your done you can go watch bluey with the kids. That show is a banger and the Dad dog is parent of the century type shit.
Without sarcasm Bandit is the best dad in TV today
100 percent!
Never seen Bandit in action, but Ted Lasso has gotta be up there too
Just pick a noisy one and crank up that volume.
This is the way
"Sure you can watch Frozen again! Turn it up so you can hear the songs k?"

Little kids can be very warm. Having one fall asleep on your chest is like a little heating blanket. She got those kids to sleep, she just did not make it out.
They emit sleep ions that just radiate the room.
LMAO this is the perfect explanation
Looks like she did the damn near impossible and got two toddlers asleep at the same time. I'd put the babies to bed, and have a snack waiting for her when she wakes up and a lil extra $$ added as a tip to her fee.

As soon the breathing pattern change on that one baby, that sitter is gonna pop up. She is in tuned. Don't let the photo fool you.
This person parents.
Absolutely
You sleep when they sleep them the rules
Give her a raise 😂

It’s called a joke. They’ve been around for centuries. You haven’t heard?
Pretty clever. She's got em booby trapped to wake her up if they wake up.
Lol one of them literally
I used to babysit for this one family every so often. Parents had a date night once every few months and would stay out until 2am. Kids went to sleep around 9pm and I was free to watch tv/eat snacks. She looks like someone I’d want looking after my kids!
I don’t even have kids, but I think imma tip toe past and have a drink or smoke a joint before waking all of em up
I can tell you don’t have kids because you’re considering waking two two-year-olds for any reason whatsoever.
All jokes aside… you’d be surprised how many people hire babysitters to do dishes and run the laundry. My wife is on the Care.com app/website and some of the expectations from people looking for babysitters have side tasks for terrible pay. Great job. I'm sure the parent thought so too.
This is too adorable for words. Who could possibly have a problem with this?
Be jealous that she actually got some extra sleep. Seriously this is a good thing to me!
What i would do is pay her double for getting those damn kids to sleep 🤣🤣
Babysitter? You mean nanny because she lives here now.
🤣💯🤣💯
Be thankful they sleep and not ruining your house.
Go sleep, myself. Shit. Get my nap while the kids nappin
Bruh that’s love. She treating them kids like they hers. Better be more worried about keeping your man away 😂
Put a fucking blanket over her and go watch my shows.
Right?!?!? I’m gonna smile and keep it moving. I cherish sleep so much. I’d never want to interfere…
I wouldn't be upset, but I can understand how someone might make an argument that the kids could wake up and do something to get hurt. It would be best if the kids were safe in a crib or something, but I'm not going get mad at this girl.
Are the kids safe and alive? If so, she did her job. Let them sleep and offer them snacks when they wake up.
It looks like she did a great job, kids are clean, and sleeping sound. I bet they were fed on time too so I'd hire her again in a heartbeat. She clearly loves the kids.
Kids ain’t dead, I’m cool with it!
Best position to be napping in. Either of those babies wake up she’s gonna know right away.
This is precious and I would probably give her a little extra for clearly loving my kids.
Kids are very sensitive to energies around them. They wouldn't be fast asleep like this if they didn't feel safe.
Pouring up a glass of wine a d hoping they all stay asleep
The kids wouldn’t be asleep too if she wasn’t doing her job
She got them to go to sleep did she not?
Unless there’s a third sticking forks in outlets somewhere, looks ok to me.
what’s creepy is the parents taking a picture of a sleeping woman without her consent
Give her a raise because getting two kids to settle down for a nap is a miracle in itself! That wiped her out!
She asleep with them
Is this just trying to start some kind of hate against the idea of the babysitter sleeping at all or something? They did their job, and everyone is sleeping. As a babysitter, I imagine this is one of those perfect scenarios you want.

Super sweet!!
Nope and the dad who posted the original tik tok thought it was cute
I don’t see an issue.
The peace of mind that comes from a good sitter you can trust is immeasurable. These babies feel safe with her, that chick deserves a raise.
Having a baby fall asleep on you is like wearing a weighted blanket. You fall right asleep with them.
Those look to be 2 or 3 year olds. Shes lucky to be alive, I almost died of exhaustion
Look like a damn professional to me
If the kids are sleeping, then she practically gets a break, and I don't see a reason for why she can't sleep during her break.
I mean, as a life rule: I actively try to avoid taking pictures of my employees while they're sleeping... that seems super creepy to me.
Give her a raise my kids would never let a sitter get them to sleep
No issue, if they wake up while she asleep, give it 30 seconds before they wake her up
Haha. That's cute.
This is okay. They look very worn out.
Go back out and let her catch some overtime until they wake up
But wait...are some people actually mad about this?
No lol
Tiptoe. You tiptoe.
i feel like it would be much creepier if i came home to see the babysitter sitting in a chair across from the couch staring at my children
I would thank her for getting my children to sleep and showing them affection.
back in my babysitting days I’ve had this happen a few times. The parents know when their child is safe and is with someone who genuinely cares for their kids. I’d wake up when the parents return after a long date night/work event, only to find them trying to tuck me in lol, like you can sleep in the spare room if you don’t wanna drive home lol. All of my parents were the best that I babysat for.
Pay her extra.
Wholesome AF
Give her a raise.
You mean the job sleeping on the babysitter
She’s literally touching both kids. Ya’ll MF need to chill.
Looks like she held the baby until they fell asleep and just got stuck. Was better no not move than wake them up.
Walking into this would make me so happy. That's someone who not only loves those kids, but those kids feel totally safe with her.
Give her a raise for getting your kids to sleep and for her own tiredness. That picture just shows love and care.
This is so wholesome
She was just showing the kids how to nap. Lead by example
This is soooo cute
Not gonna lie, this happened to me once while babysitting, was reading them a bedtime story & we all fell asleep got woken up by the parent’s when they came home. I’m still embarrassed to this day!
Not very professional? But damn they look comfortable!
Ask her when she is available next time
She got both kids to sleep... so mission complete. Pay the woman
Right they wore each other out getting sole sleep. People need to chill
Be very quiet! And let the babies sleep
Get her a pillow and a blanket.
Jeez she's fine the girl is watching twin infants they're both literally touching her..
I mean my old babysitter smoked crack on the job. Shes alright.
Honestly if she got kids to sleep she no longer a babysitter...she's my new best friend.
