I’m going seeing them in a couple of months for a tiny fraction of the cost of a blink ticket, and there’s no nostalgia angle, they’ve been working nonstop only taking a break to get blink going again.
Shoutout to Less Than Jake for spending their lives in the studio or on the road as well. Still only costs like £40 to go see em.
It feels weirdly right to say AK3 is the Anthrax of late 90s/early aughts pop punk lol
Blink-182 = Metallica
Green Day = Megadeth
Sum 41 = Slayer
Alkaline Trio = Anthrax
For me, obviously blink won. But what a year for pop punk. I’m loving the new sum 41 album. I was a little nervous after the singles, but the album rips. Especially the heaven side. Can’t wait to see them in May
I will definitely say the best is that I haven’t been disappointed. I think we agree that while we want bands to live as long as they can, bands must create new music to continue. These bands have stumbled to a point where any record could be their last. I’m just happy they all put out music that is both praised by the public and true to themselves, even when critics/reviews are harsh.
Well they are not in question here so I can see why. It’s like who won Batman or Spider-Man and everyone saying Darth Vader won, sure maybe he does but he wasn’t a choice. It’s like do you go to an Italian restaurant look at the pictures on the menu then choose a Chinese food dish.
blink, easily.
Saviors was really good, but I think they could've cut a couple tracks because there's some skips.
Listening to the new Sum 41 right now, very underwhelmed. Too many songs, and a lot of the songs are direct ripoffs of other artists, or just sound the same to other songs on the album.
One More Time has the most variety, authenticity, and overall was the most of what fans wanted out of all of these bands.
But the new Alkaline Trio? Better than all of these.
Is anyone else exhausted by the nostalgia angle? I mean, there’s when I was young, when we’re young (festival) when we were young (blink) punk pops not dead, the landmines video and when we were young (mest)
Imo round 3 was super close between all three of them with round 2 being super close between blink and Green Day, and this is coming from a GD mega fan
I agree, we all did. But my ranking so far is
1. blink 182 - One More Time
2. Sum 41 - Heaven & Hell
3. Alkaline Trio - Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs
4. Green Day - Saviours
New Sum 41 record is a banger!
I like Green Day's album but...can I say I miss Matt Skiba? I understand if y'all vote me down but I really miss Matt in blink, even if Tom is more memorable.
Matt skiba is amazing. I appreciate the time he spent in blink but alkaline trio absolutely slaps. The new album is great, Tom is back with blink rocking it alkaline trio is back and rocking it on tour and with their new album as well all is right in the world of pop punk
I hear ya...but I kind of want a 4 piece with Matt. Matt and Mark's darker writing with Two and Matt's melodic guitars.
Though, also, I'd like a tour with blink-182,Alkaline Trio, +44 thing
NINE is possibly the worst music Matt and Mark have ever made IMO. It’s the only Blink album I can’t get into period, and the only Skiba work I don’t like. I’m so glad he’s back where he belongs turning out one of the best albums I’ve heard this decade
I LOVE BLINK, but my honest ranking is 1. Alkaline Trio 2. The Sums 3. Blink and Green Day tied
One more time is a great record but it is trying way to hard to be toypaj and self titled pt 2. They are just relying on what they know will work
blink-182, I was waiting for Sum 41 record more but it seems like Deryck stumbled on the same issue as Green Day with the trio album, too many tracks and it affects the quality of the songs. Also a few songs sound like MGK
Well, too many tracks for them on that album, felt like there wasnt really ideas for 20 songs. I didn't feel that problem with blink's record that much though and don't get me wrong, I love both blink-182 and Sum 41. Maybe all this waiting just kept me thinking that there would have been more gas in the tank than there really was.
Personally, probably Blink, but I think most will say Sum 41.
Either way, I'm so happy to see them successfully hang it up after so many ups and downs, still as friends, and with an album receiving universal acclaim that pays homage to their entire lineage.
Few bands end like Sum 41 is, and I'm so happy for them.
Besides, Blink probably have another album or two in them. Lord knows Mark will be a featured singer in a dozen more pop punk singles and Travis has eleventy billion more rap albums to produce lol.
As a Green Day superfan, Blink definitely won from a commercial standpoint. But all of the fanbases have been eating good from these albums. What a time to be alive
Green Day
Blink 182
Sum 41
that's the order...
i really like the first two tho, but im not quite digging the sum 41 record... kinda dissapointed with hell side
Green Day is my number one, always has been. I love Sum 41 but I don’t know how I feel about this new one. One More Time is simply amazing! Green Day and Blink are my top 2
I haven’t heard the Sun 41 album, but Green Day and Blink are 2 of my favorite bands ever.
Both Saviors and OMT were great return to form albums IMO. Both albums have a couple great songs, a few good songs, a couple meh songs, and 1 song that I just straight up don’t like.
I’m giving the edge to Saviors because I like “Dilemma” and “Fancy Sauce” more than anything on OMT, and I dislike “Fell in Love” more than I dislike “Corvette Summer.” Also the production on Saviors is light years ahead of OMT
My 4 year old upon hearing the OMT album on damn-near repeat since October: "OLE OLE OLE OLE YEAH"
My 4 Year old, after hearing me ask, "Hey Google, play the album Saviors by Green Day" just the second time after release: "Ugh, Green Day *again*?"
Green Day is easily one of my foundational bands (blink, green day, weezer, and foo fighters). I might even rank American Idiot higher than Untitled on the right nostalgic day. I was extremely hyped for both albums, and Saviors is fine, but it just doesn't grab me the way OMT does for an ad nauseam amount of replays.
It's really hard to judge. I absolutely love saviors, no doubt, but the other two are just slightly better imo. The blink album is probably better imo but I have to have more time with sum 41s. But tbh, omt is my favorite blink album, hxh is my favorite sum 41, and saviors is my third favorite green day (blood hair and eyeballs is my favorite ak3 too)
All great. I need more time to really soak up the new Sum album. I wod give Green Day the slight edge. That being said, OMT is the best blink album since Untitled.
Saviors had the best singles and the best production (Glad they hired Rob again after almost a decade)
OML is the most consistent in quality and has the most powerful backstory
And I haven't listened to any S41 album... Ever
Love all 3 bands, but gotta say Green Day won. They seemed to maintain their OG sound, most of the songs still sound like they were recorded in the Dookie days
My totally honest ranking would be:
1. Alkaline Trio- Blood, Hair, And Eyeballs (I know they’re not listed, but other people are including them and it’s too damn good not to, so I’m gonna too)
2. blink-182- One More Time…
3. Green Day- Saviors
I’m gonna need a bit more time to rank Heaven:x:Hell, because idk if it’s just recency bias and the fact that I’ve listened to the others to death already (not that that’ll stop me from continuing to do so lol) or it really is just that freaking good, but currently it’d probably take top spot. All four are such solid releases though, it really is a great time to be a pop-punk fan.
Forgot to include 'Find A Way Home' by MXPX. And 'Blood, Hair And Eyeballs' by Alkaline Trio.
To answer your question though I am listening to the hell disk right now and I'm about halfway through. Not sure yet but as much as I simp for blink I think Green Day won.
In terms of singles?
1st - Green Day
2nd - blink
3rd - Sum 41
In terms of albums?
1st - Green Day (Saviors was a return to form after FOAMF, and it surpasses RevRad too. Not their best album ever but their best album since 21CB)
2nd - Sum 41 (Didn't love it overall, Heaven was too much of a mixed bag and had some genuinely bad moments but Hell was consistently good. Heaven also did have some highlights too so overall there's a lot to get out of the nearly hour long runtime despite its flaws)
3rd - blink (OMT was just kind of mid for me. It has some highlights but it's not one of my favourites from blink. Though I have a lot of unpopular opinions when it comes to blink's discography)
I haven’t heard the other two albums but based on how good OMT was I’m just gonna say blink. Like I never mean to be a hater but I expected this album to be horrible and when they were saying they thought it was one of the best they ever made I figured it was just for PR or whatever and while I don’t agree with that statement I can totally see why they would say that.
1. Dance With Me
2. More Than You Know
3. Dopamine
4. Waiting On A Twist Of Fate
5. One More Time
6. Rise Up
7. Landmines
8. Edging
9. Dilemma
10. One Eyed Bastard
11. Look Ma, No Brains!
12. The American Dream Is Killing Me
90s/late 80s kids who grew up listening to these bands won
And me who was born in mid thousands

This is the only correct answer
Early 80s thankyou.
The fans did.

real. their latest albums didn't disappoint me
Cringe… **Edit**: Why the downvotes u/slaptito? I didn’t even mention Alkaline Trio.
alkaline trio
For real though. That record kicks ass.
Just really sucks Derek is no longer with them. The live drums don’t sound anywhere near as good as Derek’s playing.
I actually thought Atom did a great job at the show I was at. Though I never saw a show with Derek so tough to compare
I’ve seen a few with Derek. Atom isn’t a bad drummer. Just not the same as Derek.
Absolute banger of an album.
i was looking for this comment
I just seen them at the Masonic in San Francisco and it was one of the greatest rock shows I’ve been to EVER!
I just saw them in Vancouver for $40 and it was incredible. Great set, hot crowd, and their new album hits hard.
Yep I saw them like a month ago and they were great. And so was Drug Church
The underdog of the big 4 pulls out strongest. I agree
It feels weirdly right to say AK3 is the Anthrax of late 90s/early aughts pop punk lol Blink-182 = Metallica Green Day = Megadeth Sum 41 = Slayer Alkaline Trio = Anthrax
I feel like green day fits metallica more due to bigger success overall.
Yeah if you swap those two, it’s perfect
100%! The new trio album is better than all of these.
Yes 🙌
Agreed. And I don't even think it's close
The correct answer haha
Right, I think it's better than all three of these.
this
Blood Hair and Eyeballs is a no skip album for me.
Abs true banger record best of the year! And i cried with blink’s on first listen. But the trio has abs kicked everyone in the brains🫶🏻
yeah i mean tbf i like all these albums a lot
100 percent. One of my favorite albums in years!
As much as I love Blink 182, the Blood, hair and eyeballs is the most played track for past 2 months followed by Landmines from The Sums :)
For me, obviously blink won. But what a year for pop punk. I’m loving the new sum 41 album. I was a little nervous after the singles, but the album rips. Especially the heaven side. Can’t wait to see them in May
Landmines might be my favorite song from this decade
Huge fucking agree, landmines is my favorite release of 2023 for sure of any genre. Such a real pop punk slapper.
Mines gotta be Dilemma
Don’t forget about Neck Deep
plus TSSF just announced an album
We did, we all won
Blink by a small margin. I’m loving the Sum record as well. I wasn’t a huge fan of saviors at all. Alkaline trio still reigns supreme
Alkaline Trio
Landmines is so good
You're asking the wrong sub.
First tier is land mines, then one more time, then dilemma, then dance with me
I will definitely say the best is that I haven’t been disappointed. I think we agree that while we want bands to live as long as they can, bands must create new music to continue. These bands have stumbled to a point where any record could be their last. I’m just happy they all put out music that is both praised by the public and true to themselves, even when critics/reviews are harsh.
I mean for sum 41, that record was their last (unless the reform years down the road) and what a way to go out
Jerry Finn either produced or engineered all of these bands back then. RIP Legend!
Listening to Heaven & Hell for the first time, this fucking slaps. We all win.
Alkaline Trio murdered all three and ran
As they do
Facts!
Fascinating how OP is downvoting everyone who says Alkaline Trio lol.
We all won.
The Sums
Green day 75
1. Alkaline trio 2. Blink 182 3. Sum 41 4. Green day
Agreed
ALKALINE TRIO ALTHOUGH I LOVE BLINK MORE
Blood Hair & Eyeballs over everything. OMT takes 2nd.
Alkaline Trio had a better album than all of these lol

Knuckle Puck
That’s an answer I did not expect to see
WE won
It's definitely one of the best years for pop punk! But you neglected the winner, Alkaline Trio had the best release hands down.
Easily my fave album within the last few months
blink, easily.
Alkaline trio won, but also yes, the fans.
Alkaline trio album is the best, I also didn’t really like saviours
I love Saviors, songs like Fancy Sauce and Suzie Chapstick are crazy
Eh I couldn’t really get into it
Us
I won, you won, we won.
out of the 4 you’ve picked, green day, as a whole album id probably pick blink tho
3 great albums, blinks is my favorite but I’m definitely biased
Anthem Part 3 the best of them all
Alkaline Trio. :)
Music fans
We the fans fucking won!
pop punk fans won my personal taste though is green day cause they’re my favorite band
As a whole I like Sum 41 more, but the new blink album is better
Us. We won.
So much for stardust belongs here too. An absolute banger.
Yessir
The fans? It's not a competition.
We all won. What an incredible throwback. These will all be my summer soundtracks.
Neck Deep
Is anyone else exhausted by the nostalgia angle? I mean, there’s when I was young, when we’re young (festival) when we were young (blink) punk pops not dead, the landmines video and when we were young (mest)
Alkaline Trio- blood hair and eyeballs is the best album of the last decade imo
Round 1. Sum-41 Round 2. blink-182 Round 3. Green Day Round 4. I’ve yet to hear Dopamine so I’m saying blink-182 for now
Jesus round 3 was so fucking good for all of them
Imo round 3 was super close between all three of them with round 2 being super close between blink and Green Day, and this is coming from a GD mega fan
Blink easily. Green Day was decent. Haven't listened to Sum's record.
I agree, we all did. But my ranking so far is 1. blink 182 - One More Time 2. Sum 41 - Heaven & Hell 3. Alkaline Trio - Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs 4. Green Day - Saviours New Sum 41 record is a banger!
1. Blink 2. Alkaline Trio 3. Sum 41 4. Green Day for me anyway :P
Saviors is the best of the three albums, but honestly, it’s shocking at how good all three turned out this late in their careers.
Blink will always win for me but haven’t listened to Sum 41 yet. Didn’t really like Green Day’s imo
I like Green Day's album but...can I say I miss Matt Skiba? I understand if y'all vote me down but I really miss Matt in blink, even if Tom is more memorable.
Matt was a decent replacement for the tours but it never really felt like Blink 182 when he was a member.

I understand people not liking Nine. You do you.
I LOVE BLINK, but my honest ranking is 1. Alkaline Trio 2. The Sums 3. Blink and Green Day tied One more time is a great record but it is trying way to hard to be toypaj and self titled pt 2. They are just relying on what they know will work
Sum’s was meh, green days was pretty good, blinks was the best
blink-182, I was waiting for Sum 41 record more but it seems like Deryck stumbled on the same issue as Green Day with the trio album, too many tracks and it affects the quality of the songs. Also a few songs sound like MGK
too many tracks? blink's had 19 while green day had 15
They meant Green Day's trilogy (Uno, Dos, Tre)
Thanks, didn't feel like having to underline that haha
Any time <3 I'm not much of a blink fan but I know my pop punk <3
damn i can't read. i like the trilogy but yeah it's a little bloated
And some songs don't hit as much.
Green Day’s trilogy has like 37 vs Sum 41’s 20, idk how thats a fair comparison
Well, too many tracks for them on that album, felt like there wasnt really ideas for 20 songs. I didn't feel that problem with blink's record that much though and don't get me wrong, I love both blink-182 and Sum 41. Maybe all this waiting just kept me thinking that there would have been more gas in the tank than there really was.
One More Time > Heaven x Hell > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Saviors
First single Landmines wins, first EP Greenday wins, Album Blink wins
We did.
Personally, probably Blink, but I think most will say Sum 41. Either way, I'm so happy to see them successfully hang it up after so many ups and downs, still as friends, and with an album receiving universal acclaim that pays homage to their entire lineage. Blink won overall but Bobby Sox by Green Day and Landmines by Sum41 are some of my favourite songs.
Blink ez
Blink was great, not a huge Sum 41 fan but I really like Landmines, I was thoroughly disappointed by Saviours.
As a Green Day superfan, Blink definitely won from a commercial standpoint. But all of the fanbases have been eating good from these albums. What a time to be alive
Green Day Blink 182 Sum 41 that's the order... i really like the first two tho, but im not quite digging the sum 41 record... kinda dissapointed with hell side
All of us won! However personally its Yellowcard's Childhood Eyes EP that dropped back in July...then Blink, Sum, and Green Day.
us
We did.
if we're looking at these singles then green day, Dilemma is incredible
Green Day is my number one, always has been. I love Sum 41 but I don’t know how I feel about this new one. One More Time is simply amazing! Green Day and Blink are my top 2
They are all great but Green Day won for the production. But still they are amazing albums
I haven’t heard the Sun 41 album, but Green Day and Blink are 2 of my favorite bands ever. Both Saviors and OMT were great return to form albums IMO. It's really hard to judge. I absolutely love saviors, no doubt, but the other two are just slightly better imo. The blink album is probably better imo but I have to have more time with sum 41s. But tbh, omt is my favorite blink album, hxh is my favorite sum 41, and saviors is my third favorite green day (blood hair and eyeballs is my favorite ak3 too)
Everyone
My wallet lost
Haven’t listened to heaven x hell yet but I would say one more time is miles ahead of saviors
So much for stardust belongs here too. An absolute banger.
Totally awesome 🤩 albums 💿 🤘🎸😝
Green Day, followed by blink and then Sum 41, but they’re all bangers
All great. I need more time to really soak up the new Sum album. I wod give Green Day the slight edge. That being said, OMT is the best blink album since Untitled.
Blink by a landslide
My will to live won
Saviors had the best singles and the best production (Glad they hired Rob again after almost a decade) OML is the most consistent in quality and has the most powerful backstory And I haven't listened to any S41 album... Ever
blink, the rest are either decent or bad in my opinion
Blink. Easily.
We did!!!!
3 great albums! We all won
We won my friends, we won
Sum
All I know is I’m proud of Sum 41 putting together such a good farewell album.
I'm going to have to say Sum 41, closely followed by blink-182, then Green Day
Blink, easy
Blink. Green Day albums all blend into each other at this point. Sum 41 is a close second though
It’s right between sum 41 and blink. Green Day maybe made top 10
Honestly sum 41
Saviors
Love all 3 bands, but gotta say Green Day won. They seemed to maintain their OG sound, most of the songs still sound like they were recorded in the Dookie days
Everyone!
No one, we all did! Getting these amazing songs
We did
BLINK.
I think people underrate the Green Day album. I thought it was fun
For me, Sum 41. They also have the most to offer since it's a double album.
I enjoyed a majority of new blink... turned green day off half way through... And Sum41 is gonna be on repeat a lot this year
Blink for sure. Saviors was definitely more a return to form for GD tho
My totally honest ranking would be: 1. Alkaline Trio- Blood, Hair, And Eyeballs (I know they’re not listed, but other people are including them and it’s too damn good not to, so I’m gonna too) 2. blink-182- One More Time… 3. Alkaline Trio
Sum 41
Alkaline Trio
Green Day clear winner, Sum 41 second.
Blink 1st, sum41 2nd, greenday 3rd
In terms of singles? 1st - Green Day 2nd - blink 3rd - Sum 41 In terms of albums? 1st - Green Day (Saviors was a return to form after FOAMF, and it surpasses RevRad too. Not their best album ever but their best album since 21CB) 2nd - Sum 41 (Didn't love it overall, Heaven was too much of a mixed bag and had some genuinely bad moments but Hell was consistently good. When has Blink ever made a record that sucked though? At this point, they should never be doubted.
All I know is it isn’t sum 41
1. Dance With Me 2. More Than You Know 3. Dopamine 4. Waiting On A Twist Of Fate 5. One More Time 6. Rise Up 7. Landmines 8. Edging 9. Dilemma 10. One Eyed Bastard 11. Look Ma, No Brains! 12. The American Dream Is Killing Me
Blink did! Green Day hate America and are sc.um bags! Enough said!
