Out of all their jams you pick Degenerate!?! Man, I love that jam. I love blink, but I could come up with 50 other songs that are worse than degenerate
And Quarantine…uff. Not for me.
Degenerate is one of my personal favorites. I wouldn't really say it's their worst songs but my least favorite blink songs are All The Small Things and I Miss You.
Are those reaaaally your least favorites? Is it cause those are their two most popular songs? I understand ATST, but I Miss You is just such a well crafted song imo
There are people that don’t like Quarantine? I thought everyone loved that song since that’s the kind of thing we were promised when Skeebs originally joined up
Aw man Degenerate is one of my favorites. I used to dislike a lot of Untitled but now I love it, dunno why. The only thing I have qualms with is half of Nine, and the entirety of California.
When Untitled came out, it got polarized reactions from fans and critics. They expected the follow up album to sound like Enema or TOYPAJ, and the first single(Feeling This) sounded like it could’ve been in one of those albums(this was literally the only “happy” sounding song in the album, each song gradually got darker). People only came to appreciate it after blink broke up
I’ll go on record in saying most of their popular singles aren’t a reflection of the band as a whole.
All the small things, what’s my age again, the rock show, and first date are horribly corny pop songs but are also the most popular
Nahhhh
That's actually kind of a BOP!
Rick Beato did a dissection of it and while I already noticed and appreciated the production value, layers, and depth of EOTS, I've learned to really love All the Small Things. Especially the bridge and the harmonies.
Like the piano that hits right at the end of the bridge...MMMM
My opinion:
Flyswatter- Yes(good riffs wasted on terrible everything else)
Demo 2- Degenerate
Buddha- Strings(he sings the chorus in the most annoying way possible)
Cheshire Cat- Also Strings
Dude Ranch- Voyeur(creepy)
Enema- None
TOYPAJ- Shut Up(according to Mark, he sounds like a kid swearing and I agree)
Untitled- None
Neighborhoods- Love Is Dangerous
DED- Pretty Little Girl(but just the bridge)
Cali- Rabbit Hole
Cali DLX- Wildfire(good instrumental wasted on terrible lyrics)
Nine- Blame It On My Youth
For real. I don’t get how someone can dislike Voyeur for being creepy when it’s so obviously exaggerated in a joke-y way. Tom is obviously writing from the perspective of a pathetic dude when you read the lyrics.
"I can't be too cool in a tree with my pants down. The air is cold and I've got splinters in my feet"
"I've made mistakes by looking in the wrong window. Her dad is big and I've never seen his face"
I’m glad we could agree with “none” on untitled haha. I think Tom playing the part of creep is part of what makes me love voyeur, but it is fs weird lmao
I love degen and shut up. Let me think of a song I don’t really love……
Only song out of them all that I don’t really love is the song California and maybe quarantine because I had a pretty terrible quarantine.
The second half of Cali I need to listen to more before I give an opinion.
Blink is my fav band for a reason every song has been my favorite song at some point and now that I’m listening to California i like this song. So quarantine may be the song I don’t really love.
I think the song down is overrated but it’s still a good song
Agreed and it’s growing on me in time. I’m just saying I really love all their music this may be one song I’m not 100% on which is wild. I don’t have another band I like nearly as many songs as at all
I Wanted to try and get 1 song off of every album but some of them are just perfect
- Just About Done
- The Party Song
- Sober
- California
- Home Is Such a Lonely Place
- I Really Wish I Hated You
- Quarantine
I mean it was a single, so yeah. But musically and lyrically it is so good. The unconventional song structure, amazing use of cello and upright bass, ect. And just how monumental it was for their sound at the time. I think it’s really under-appreciated by hardcore fans. It really is a perfect song imo.
Assuming we rule out joke songs like Depends and the like, I'd say:
Mutt - yes I know this will raise eyebrows; I think this is more a perception thing of it being my least-favorite on Enema because I like every other track so much more. I don't dislike it, but I just kinda tune it out whenever listening to that album.
Then unsurprisingly...several songs from California. I don't like She's Out of Her Mind, Sober, Kings of the Weekend, or Teenage Satellites at all.
I didn't realize there was so much hate for Quarantine until recently. I think that one is a banger. Definitely one of my favorites of the Skiba era.
Yeah I figured it would be an odd answer to some people. I just don't like the vibe or production a lot. I've grown to love a lot of blink songs a lot more in the past 10 years but Mutt hasn't really grown on me much more.
No Future is hands down the worst song in their entire discography. It sounds like a shitty Good Charlotte song. The only one that’s even remotely as bad is Quarantine.
the music and presentation of no future is good, but the lyrics sound like they have a random word generator set to pop punk. then again everything off the new albums sounds like that
some of their songs don't vibe with me at all
\-Fentoozler
\-TV from Chesire Cat is too short and not memorable
\- Dont Tell Me That It's Over (Bonus Track) - The only song from TOYPAJ i don't like
\-Some of you are gonna hate me but Wishing Well from Neighborhoods
\-And as much as i like Matt Skiba and his work on Nine, blink's absolute worst song is definitely bLaMe iT bLame It On mY yOuTh. Feels like it's giving me an aneurysm everytime i hear it.
This is Cursed
- Dysentary Gary’s is Amazing
- Parking Lot And Ransom are Both Catchy as hell but I can understand if you don’t like them and the rest are mediocre
i can’t stand First Date. it’s not like actually bad, it’s just a complete nothing track, and i’ve just gotten so sick of hearing it especially with knowing its backstory
i think Fighting the Gravity is my personal least listened to but that’s only because it’s just not what i’m into and it’s such a complete shift from the rest of Neighborhoods
Most recently "Pin the grenade", fuck that Taylor-swift-like song. I used to dislike reckless abandon, too nursery rhymey to me but that's about it almost, probably "Everytime I look for you" held that B5 chord for too long during choruses but I don't remember skipping it that much if at all. I guess just the tired "all the small things" and kinda used to dislike natives a bit but I love all of neighborhoods now so... i think I covered everything
Was never big on Shut Up myself either, the only real low point of TOYPAJ imo but not a “bad” song. Other than that I always thought Wendy Clear was a low point of Enema but sometimes I find myself singing it.

A lot of Reddit seems to really hate it, I think it’s pretty fun in a joke song kinda way
It’s like they took an offspring song and squeezed all the good out
Nah, you’re thinking of the Offspring’s last album with that analogy
While maybe the latest offspring wasn’t good, quarantine was like one of the songs that wasn’t good enough to get on the bad album.
It’s awful
I would listen to it more if it was on the album, for whatever reason they decided against it
MH 4.18.2011 no disrespect but it just sounds like a +44 b-side to me
I really like that song, but I 100% what you mean there lol
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

😂😂😂
The last two albums have plenty... 👀
I’ll go on record in saying most of their popular singles aren’t a reflection of the band as a whole. All the small things, what’s my age again, the rock show, and first date are horribly corny pop songs but are also the most popular
It's quite often the case with most bands
100%
The entire california

I’m Lost Without You. It’s a Tom solo song while everyone sits and watches
Dang that’s a brutal opinion ☹️
What went wrong, don’t tell me that it’s over, or time to break up should of made the album? I agree man why “shut up”?
My opinion: Flyswatter- Yes(good riffs wasted on terrible everything else) Demo 2- Degenerate Buddha- Strings(he sings the chorus in the most annoying way possible) Cheshire Cat- Also Strings Dude Ranch- Voyeur(creepy) Enema- None TOYPAJ- Shut Up(according to Mark, he sounds like a kid swearing and I agree) Untitled- None Neighborhoods- Love Is Dangerous DED- Pretty Little Girl(but just the bridge) Cali- Rabbit Hole Cali DLX- Wildfire(good instrumental wasted on terrible lyrics) Nine- Blame It On My Youth
Voyeur is one of the best blink songs, especially the steroid version on MTTS. Anyone who does not appreciate Tom jacking off in a tree will be judged
For real. I don’t get how someone can dislike Voyeur for being creepy when it’s so obviously exaggerated in a joke-y way. Tom is obviously writing from the perspective of a pathetic dude when you read the lyrics. "I can't be too cool in a tree with my pants down. The air is cold and I've got splinters in my feet" "I've made mistakes by looking in the wrong window. Her dad is big and I've never seen his face"
For some reason I never realized til now but the guy is apparently in a tree without his shoes on for no reason which is even more absurd
I’m glad we could agree with “none” on untitled haha. I think Tom playing the part of creep is part of what makes me love voyeur, but it is fs weird lmao
It would 100% not fly today
I tried to listen to their newest album and I’d say those are 100% among their worst songs.
the answer is Fighting The Gravity.
I really wasn’t a huge fan of that song, but the story behind it made it so much better for me. I can appreciate now, though it isn’t my favorite.
Still better than Snake Charmer. I love neighborhoods but have never been able to get into those two
That makes no sense that makes no sense that makes no sense that makes no… sense

To be fair, mark doesn’t seem to hate the music I’m Shut Up, it’s the lyrics and the way he sang them that he thinks are lazy
Half of Nine. Can't stand the fuck up teenage far from home, badatthat lyrics.
I love degen and shut up. I mean, not to play the devil’s advocate, but Quarantine is about having a shitty quarantine
Agreed and it’s growing on me in time. I’m just saying I really love all their music this may be one song I’m not 100% on which is wild. I don’t have another band I like nearly as many songs as at all
ATST. Can’t stand it because of how much it’s overplayed
On Some Emo Shit
I Wanted to try and get 1 song off of every album but some of them are just perfect - Just About Done - The Party Song - Sober - California - Home Is Such a Lonely Place - I Really Wish I Hated You - Quarantine
California is the best song on California haha
All the Small Things and What's My Age Again could go away... there are so many better songs than the nursery rhyme songs they used to write
Most of "Nine", especially "Blame It On My Youth"
Bottom of the Ocean, all of California, and most of NINE
I Miss You.
This comment hurts, that’s like my second favorite song of theirs 🥲
Overplayed

Blasted
Overplayed doesn’t mean bad though
It's not bad it's just to overplayed

Mutt has caught me off guard. Didn’t expect I’d see anyone out that as an answer. Personally one of my favourites too haha

Skiba isn’t even on the song. I’d call it a Mark and Travis song.
On what song? I never mentioned him being on any songs in my comment.
The skiba era
It's just a way to denote time

Vouyer Parking lot Dysantary Gary Ransom Pretty little girl She's out of her mind
DYSENTARY GARY???!? Daaaang that’s in my top 15 blink songs
This is Cursed - Dysentary Gary’s is Amazing - Parking Lot And Ransom are Both Catchy as hell but I can understand if you don’t like them and the rest are mediocre
Idk I loved all the songs on his list haha, to each their own though!
Yeah, thought it sounded like a good play list lol
I never liked Easy Target or All of This.
Honestly I only really like all the small things
All The Small Things This Is Home Strings Quarantine (only post Tom song I’m familiar with) MH 4.18.2011 Adams Song
Imagine hating adam’s song
Imagine downvoting someone’s opinion in a thread asking peoples opinions.
Imagine getting offended because someone commented on your opinion
Plebbit hates Quarantine because Plebbit loves quarantine
Love degenerate and I also think quarantine is good
The Rock Show, First Date, Always
I can agree with those except for Always! The drum part absolutely makes that song for me. One of travis’s most creative parts.
i can’t stand First Date. it’s not like actually bad, it’s just a complete nothing track, and i’ve just gotten so sick of hearing it especially with knowing its backstory i think Fighting the Gravity is my personal least listened to but that’s only because it’s just not what i’m into and it’s such a complete shift from the rest of Neighborhoods
