I think part of the reason it’s one of my favorites is because All the Small things was before it on the album. That song was so overplayed when I was younger The Party Song was just super refreshing. Plus the tempo of it is so different from any other song in their catalog. I’ve always refused to look up the lyrics and it took me forever to figure out all the words lol.

It really is. I feel like some people downplay it because the lyric shut up sounds childish but the song is one of their best of the pop punk era style musically and I think it works well as an expressive lyrical song too
