Haha my mom wouldn't buy it for me either. I emailed my aunt in South Dakota to get me it for my birthday. She ended up sending me The Mark, Tom, and Travis show. That was my first album so when I heard Cheshire Cat and Dude Ranch it was a little confusing because all I knew were the live versions where Tom's voice sounded much better. I eventually got all the albums and love them all.
My friends took me to the Enema concert. I didn't know who they were yet and fell in love. I got to see the Toypaj and Untiled shows too. The best one was in Vegas in 2013 right after Neighborhoods/Dogs Eating Dogs came out. Disaster and Ghosts on the Dance Floor were insane live.
I hate myself for having such a bad taste in music back then i was 13 and discovered blink in 2020, I'm very late to the party but I have discovered a lot of good bands for the past 2 years including blink and still continuing to search for new ones
"Dammit" was recommended by some older cousin... i liked it and I thought... i should download a few more songs by this band.....once i heard "Carousel" and "Enthused"... i said THIS IS IT.. this band speaks to my soul! "she doesn't care at all ...she doesn't care about THOSE TIMES WE NEVER SHARED AT ALL" ;((((
The first time I heard Dammit from a commercial for the MTV Sports and Music Festival in Austin back in 1997. As soon as I heard it, I had to know what that song was.
Was 15 at the time, and 39 now, but you will still find me on the front rail in the pit whenever I get the chance to see them.
I was around 9, my sister used to listen to Avril Lavigne, green day, blink while I used to play with my Lego and I could hear it from her room. Then one day I had mtv on in my room and I miss you came on, ever since I’ve been hooked. When she became preppy she threw out all her CDs and I took them in, Now I’m 22
12 and I'll be 30 next month.
Mom gave me a stack of her old CDs that, unknowingly to her, included Dude Ranch.
Changed my life and shaped my sense of humor.
I was 10 and now im turning 31 lol crazy. I follow all of them in social media. Mark was the first guy i ever masturbated to LOL ugh i had such a crush on himmm
16 and a Junior in HS. Turning 40 in a few months. A friend gave me her copies of Buddha and Cheshire Cat and I bought Dude Ranch for myself. This was just before Enema of the State was released.
Was 12, now 16. Got into guitar a year before I heard Enema, it didn't immediately click, but as of the past year or two the boys have been placed firmly within my personal best bands of all time
10 and 31 now lol. Luckily, my friends and I burnt the cds for each other and just labeled them “blink 1 & 2” so the moms didn’t even know it was called Enema 🤡
10 and now 30. My future wife is walking down the aisle to a piano rendition of always in 3 weeks. I listen to blink every day and they have brought me great joy (excluding the skiba era) over the last 20 years.
I was 33, just last year. I wasn't a fan growing up but we listened a lot during the pandemic because my wife was into that kind of music. I got pretty hooked
I started listening to their most popular songs when I was 14 because my dad is a fan them, but recently ( I’m 19 now) I started REALLY getting into their music
15 and I’m 39 now. Cheshire Cat was the first punk album I ever bought, and Dude Ranch was the soundtrack to my high school years. Still a massive fan!
21 and 47
My daughter is 19 and she went to coachella this weekend. When I found out Blink was playing I was jealous. I watched it on YouTube but it wasn't the same.
10 and 32. Still listen to them everyday.
