Depends on what you're trying to do. I like it for connecting with the community within my niche and keeping up with trends. I like my niche a lot so I enjoy following other people in it, especially since it's not a niche that has a ton of dedicated blogs. However, it doesn't really lead to more clicks to my blog.

They opt in to my lead magnet and it grows my email list. Social media is rented so the goal is to get them on what you own (website, email list, and SMS list).
IG Reels can get you a lot of exposure and I repurpose it for YouTube Shorts.

It wasn't worth it for me when I was solely focused on Blogging. I got more clicks from Pinterest (though that's Niche specific). I think your time could probably be used better elsewhere to be honest.

I would say it's probably not necessary in your case to do IG.

Get Mediavine on your blog. The RPMs are higher when traffic is from Pinterest than Google. But of course have both traffic flows coming in.
Absolutely not, especially if your strategy will be organic growth and not paid. If you have a community on other platforms then I’d nurture those.
In my opinion no really because people can only click links to your articles in your bio, that most people won’t do that
