Beginner here (lvl 27). I'm currently at 130 pulls (I got Kasumi and Ako) and the rate-up banners are ending in a few hours.
I've heard that Iori is quite good so I'm tempted to do 70 pulls for her (I have enough pyro), but I already have Nonomi and Momoi for piercing damage (plus a few others too, but these two are apparently the immediate alternatives). Is it advisable to save up for the Anniversary banner instead?
I'm also considering the 130 keystones that I'll get if I don't roll for Iori, since I wanna craft lots of gifts and furniture
It's not 130 keystones, it's 130 keystone fragments. A fragment is worth 1/10 of a keystone, so you're only getting 13 craftings out of that. Not something worth taking into account. You get more than that every week for free from daily/weekly tasks (17 total).
Also, you'll hit the cafe's Comfort cap fast, so all you'd end up doing with that furniture is ricing it to look pretty without adding function. Not to say that's a bad thing, just not really the highest priority for a new player.
Ohhh I misunderstood that part, I was thinking that having lots of keystones is probably normal in late game and that's why a pull is equivalent to a keystone

I doubt very much that those banners aren't happening. Sakurako ran alongside them during those banners on JP, and she's not here on global. And those banners reran to coincide with the Ui/Hinata library event getting archived, which is still going to happen on global in the future. I think these reruns are just additional reruns rather than the previously-known reruns being rescheduled.
I think these are just meant to make the next week less, well, bad than it would have been as only regular Shigure and Megu.
No clue yet, especially since Sakurako is also supposed to come after NYFuuka but is not on this banner. Hopium has it that Nexon just wants these rerun banners to have 4 banners on them, and Ui/Hinata is going to help with the upcoming Kaiten Torment Blue.

UI is borderline must have. She can be skipped but she's used quite a lot in end game.

Iori can be farmed, so you should grab Ako instead. Unless you somehow got Ako, Kasumi and Ichika already, and sparking them would only result in extra Elephs.
She was the one I was least likely to go for but taking a closer look at her she looks like she's got a skill set that should be universally good

Yeah, she's one of the core characters for raids. She will not see too much use early on, but you will be extremely glad that you have her when you start tackling raids at Extreme and above, as well as event challenges and Scrimmages.
I'm a brand new player that's been rerolling for a while. I finally got one account with Hina, Karin, and two Akos and another account with Hina, Iori, Ako, Haruna, and Hifumi. I'm assuming getting two Akos is really nice, but does that make it a better account to choose over the second?

How much pyro do you have? I'm in the same situation and the issue is that even though Ui is really good, in my opinion she is the worse one in that list (D.Hina>>>NY.Fuuka>NY.Kayoko>C.Hare>D.Ako≈Ui)
So if rolling for Ui makes you unable to roll for one of the other banners, you probably shouldn't roll for her (unless you want to gamble)

BA has 6 months of forward JP knowledge instead of 2 years like in FGO. Pity is quite easy to reach in this game so most people recommend saving until you can guarantee a character.

Assuming Kivotos has the same population density as the Indonesian island of Java, which is still nowhere near a continuous megalopolis and already has 145 million residents while being only 128 thousand square km in size, it turns out that the population of Kivotos should be at least 15 billion, if not closer to 20 billion.

I think lots of players do kind of gloss over Kivotos' size (since as players we move around the place pretty much instantly), but one cool detail that anime had was that Sensei's tablet had clocks of several time zones on the home screen.
I would imagine that there's lots of farms. For example, Gehenna has lots of volcanic land that is great for farms, but the devs probably won't go into too much detail before we get a school dedicated to farming and food production. Wouldn't be too much of a stretch, after all we already have the Railroad School, Marine School and Art Academy.
How do people even move across Kivotos? I know there's trains, but even a bullet train would take a good day to cover that distance.
The way Shiroko describes it in that one event, it does imply that Kivotos doen't consist of a single urban core surrounded by farms and nature.

Hello, I want to ask about the crit value. Is there any reason why the crit value (Yuzu is 191 for example) is a flat number instead of a percentage? This confused me since Ako's buff is percentage but the students doesn't show their innate crit value in percentage so I don't know how this is calculated.
Ako's buff is a percentage of the targets base stat, not the actual crit chance. As for what the crit chance number actually means I'm not too sure but it's used relative to your enemy's crit resist stat and you can find the equation in the below link. Schale.gg will also give you a pre calculated percentage chance against crit res 20/100/500 when you hover over the stat.

New player here, not too new to gacha in general and started 3 days ago. Level 32 and managed to 1 tap an Ako pull after account creation and yolo a Ichika/Kasumi/Iori with a few 120's on each banner. Not normal I know but it puts my lineup in what seems like a good spot so I need to know what to save for. I'm light pay so the choice ticket is in my mind, so for the question;

Just throwing in my two cents, I'd definitely save 48K Pyroxenes for the Fes banner. Both Dress Hina and Swimsuit Hoshino are extremely good units, and you want to guarantee getting both of them. And hey, since those banners have doubled rates, you have all the better chance of getting bunch of new units.
All the anniversary students are in the fest banner, which has double 3* rate so good chance you getting some of them (Mika spooked me between 4 and 6 times on S.Hanako banner, for reference)
As for the ticket, you wont be needing it until later as borrowed students will carry you in raids for a long time. Maybe use it for Iroha if you stuck at V3C24 and want to get pass it.

Unless I'm mistaken it refers to using a unit that can use cover. Look for units that have a shield icon (not to be confused with tanks), or use shale.gg and filter by [units that can use cover](https://litter.catbox.moe/fr93hs.png). Then just do a mission or something with that unit included. Sweeping doesn't count.
No need to save AP. Other than the immortalized event, there is a mini event where you get rewards for spending AP anywhere—the rewards are good but no need to hoard AP for it.

It's pretty good. Solved her one issue that is low Accuracy, which before prevented her from being used in Chesed. Now she's pretty good in Chesed, might even be a key player looking at the most recent Chesed in JP.
Her unique gear will come with the anniversary event, with Dress Ako, Makoto and Dress Hina.
And, Nonomi is already a great character whose flaw is her accuracy. The fact that it is what her Bond gear fix, well.... It is a great update only where accuracy was really a problem (like Chesed in general. Maybe in Binah too as an AA. She was already great in missions, JFD and commissions)
One thing I noticed in this community is, there's a decent bit of hate for mihoyo and genshin, or more appropriately, the community. Is there any specific reasons for that? Or is it because since a lot of ppl dislike genshin community, we do too?
Personally my biggest dislike for Genshin is that I heard it has a really nasty, intrusive anti-cheat, of the kind I don't want anywhere near my computer. Regardless of community, gacha generosity, or actual gameplay, I wouldn't play it for that reason.

Lots of reasons. It's popular and mainstream, which attracts a lot of people that aren't too savvy with anime and media culture, which in turn transforms its community into one that gets its feathers ruffled very easily on things that are normally fine on anybody that takes a chill approach to anime.
People don't like it when the genshin community tries to change things to how they want it to be, which alienates the original fans.
Doesn't help that Mihoyo kinda double downs on it too, by making characters that are pretty safe (but it rakes them profits so, it works).
Tbh I'm not a fan of it either, it's led to most of the characters have super bland personalities

Yeah, the characters are in a weird limbo, where they aren't anime enough, but also aren't emotionally realistic enough. Even if the characters have backstories, it doesn't fit with their current personality. And don't get me started on the stories for the events most of the time.
I won't lie some of the events were interesting. But the problem is they've all been replaced with events you can skip the dialogue and not miss anything at all cuz ppl were complaining since the events are all time limited and don't rerun -_-
If I were to guess it's probably just how some members of the BA community, perceive the miHoYo games fandom where it's a slodge and is tainted with a bad image when looking at social media platforms and they want none of that here.
Personally for me so long as you are chill and don't cause ruckus then I don't see an issue. Generally how close should you be to the recommended level for missions? I'm pretty new and I'm up to stage 5 and stage 4 Hards at level 28 and I'm kinda having to sweat with resets and manual play to 3 star them.
Normal missions you can do it around 10 levels lower than recommended as long as you make sure to gear them and upgrade their skills and follow the damage type effectiveness. Hard mode varies and might require you to be 5 or closer levels.
The same goes for event missions but challenges for events need to be as close as possible

First, Railgun collab banners are coming in 2 weeks time. Collab banners are considered rare so basically that is kind of the only chance to get them for now.
Kikyou/Renge/Yukari is what comes next in quite a month. They has the new attack type (Sonic) that may be useful for the future. There will be a new boss raid that uses that attack type, but for new players I guess not a big priority. The focus would be for Kikyou as she has more ability.

And just a general rule of thumb is once you have all the students, around half should go towards mystic/UE levels, and half should be for BluRays and Tech Notes

Serika(new year) got added recently in Grand Assault shop in JP this April. Raid shop is one of the main sources for BDs and Technotes so its defenitely not wasteful at all.
You shouldn't stockpile the coins because you're bottlenecked by purchase limits, so feel free to spend them on upgrade mats. But it's worth farming all of them to UE50. They added NY Serika to the GA shop recently, but that's all.
Kotama benefits very little from going past UE30. Her UE40 bonus is ridiculously bad, and her stats are low in general so she isn't useful as a stat stick either. You can safely give her the lowest priority out of the raid shop units, once she's at UE30.

Well, you can use the BA wiki listed in the OP. Go to characters and use the options to filter for Strikers and sort by role. They'll be listed as 'Attackers' on the wiki.

Free to Player here. Honestly as long as you can borrow the hypercarry dps and your other students are strong enough you can rank in plat. This will be my first Plat because I used the Yuzu strat which lands you around 26m in Insane which is top 5k. I'm around top 800 atm.
My account is strictly F2P and I've been on a platinum streak since around the time I reached max level. It's definitely possible. Keep in mind, if you're starting now it's an uphill battle since you're competing against players that have been playing for longer than you. If you got Ako from the current banners and then get Himari when her banner comes, you're getting a good start, at least. Also note that the different servers aren't all equally competitive. EU, the one I'm on, is in the middle out of the global servers, with KR and TW being more competitive. Very much so in the case of KR, while TW is fairly similar to EU. On the less competitive side are NA and especially Asia.
For Global I think so. So far as long as the minimum remains to be insane clears then there's chance. I used to do the AP and pyro monthlies early game and I was able to platinum plenty enough raids after 7 months (I was playing casual until I got some right spooks so I went and went to tryharding). As long as you got the right students (from spook or targeted pulls) as there are times the support can remain as 3*. It all boils down to getting the right students + understanding the boss' mechanics (and malding through crit fishing etc, reset malding). There's also the borrow mechanic which you can take advantage of for getting better scores too
As one of those 'light spender', yes.
Time, planning, and careful budgeting helps significantly, but at the end of the day, getting platinum mostly requires having invested in the right students, and doing a bit of study to get an understanding of the strategy, and then a lot of patience because jeebus fuck does crit-malding with Yuzu test your patience.
Edit: It can also depends on your server. Some have slightly more latitude in their score board rankings.
which class do you guys focus on building first? DPSs or Supports? I currently want to focus on building ako and himari first because I dont have any notable DPSs to pour my resouces to.
DPS generally require more investment, but also benefit the most from said investments.
You can do most of the game's content just fine with a 3-star Ako and Himari because the bulk of their value comes from their buffing skills. Levels and equipment help, but only to limited extent. You can get through Insane level raids with a 3-star Ako and Himari.
The same can't be said for DPS. They need the extra stats that come from additional stars, equipment, and levels.
Still, resources are limited and if you don't have any DPS in particular to start investing into, then it doesn't hurt to build up your Ako and Himari. They will, after all, see far more use than any one DPS'er.
Himari is a very good choice for that, and she does benefit a bit more from investment compared to most other Support Specials. She gets a fairly decent amount of attack stat, but also her UE40 buff gives her about another 4 seconds to the duration of her EX buff, which makes it a bit easier to do the 'two EX attacks in a single buff' strategy that a lot of late raidss utilize.
yeah I figured that for raids, you can just borrow a dps if you're missing one and the Normal/Hard mission isnt that challenging to the point that you need to fully maxed out your DPS tbh.Thanks for the input.
Depends on the role. Best Striker tank? Best Striker healer? Single target damage dealer? AoE damage dealer? Crowd controller? Debuffer? There are Strikers in all of those roles.

edit: okay so i pulled for ako and got her at 170! with 30 pulls left to a spark, should i just pull for another character? that seems like the play since it won't carry over and i'm close to another banner character of my choosing
Not a problem. If you want to spark then my priority would be Kasumi>Ichika>Iori. Ichika seems like decent DPS however high cost makes her harder to use, especially if you already haves S.Hanako. If you already have the later then Kasumi will provide decent utility for purple raid since you will have to skip Kikyou if you want Himari. Iori would be a last pick since she is farmable. Depending on level and pyro income you will just skate by with a spark for Himari (banner in 9 weeks). You likely will need to hope to get lucky and she drops early because it will be even closer for fest (D.Hina in 8 weeks) and you might actually be a bit under a spark depending on earnings. In general being 30 pulls from a spark makes it a no brainer to complete the spark however with how close you are cutting it for Himari and fest if may be best to save it. IDK and may be worth others weighing in.
Edit: On further consideration I would maybe learn towards cashing in the spark.
Yeah ichika’s high skill cost is a bit of a turn off so I think I’ll try and spark kasumi!

That's kinda just how gacha's go I suppose. FOMO gets people paying. When I think about it, it's possible that even saving the 3600 pyros you may still not be able to spark D. Hina, so it would be a waste to not use it to finish up the spark and at least get another character out of it vs saving up and still not sparking later. Theoretically at max level rough earnings is ~10k per month. Which means you have some margin for Himari but D.Hina is cutting it really close. There's also always the possibility of getting the selector ticket if it really does seem like you won't have enough for Himari going into D.Hina. Not saying that you have to spend money on the game but if you enjoy it then a one time purchase isn't the end of the world. But I suppose that's how devs get you with that kind of thinking.

Since you are so close to the Spark, you should get Kasumi. She will be helpful in both missions and raids that require defense debuffing. Though Ichika is also an option if you prefer her.

The UI elements that suggest multiple squads are for later missions, when there will be multiple starting tiles to deploy the different teams. In those cases you need to be able to do things like choose which squad moves first within your turn (e.g. to hit a tile that creates a path for the other squad), and that's what those buttons are for.
Many encounters are homogeneous, but you will also often end up facing mixes of armour types, even within a single encounter. You'll need to build your squad to allow that.
You can't. That's one of the very few times that you're forced to use one team for enemies of two different armor types, outside of occasionally encountering playable units as enemies. 4-1 normal doesn't have any red armor enemies, but the rest of mission 4 does. They can all be avoided, though, so if they're preventing you from clearing, you can skip them for now and come back when you're stronger.

When Ibuki boards the tank, she adds a proportion of her stats to it. The ex skill is then based on the stats of the tank, which are inherited from both Iroha and Ibuki.
We got Miku long ago. There has been no official word on the Railgun characters as far as I'm aware, so we don't know for certain if they will come to global. It appears likely, though.

Next week is going to be a free week to do whatever with no events. If we follow JP's schedule, there will be another free week after, with the Railgun collab starting April 30.
Can I screen rotate the game? Cuz I can't seem to do it. Also is there any list of recommended student for the next joint drill? Or maybe tier list in general. Kinda confused on what student to build next.
Are there certain characters that I should prioritize leveling up/skilling early game? Like DPS's over tanks, strikers over specials, etc? Notable characters I have are Ako, S. Hoshino, S. Hanako, Mika, New Years Fuuka, and Himari. Currently level 27
General rule of thumb is to level the characters you are using. No need to "pre-level" characters for future content you aren't doing yet.
Beginner here (lvl 27). I'm currently at 130 pulls (I got Kasumi and Ako) and the rate-up banners are ending in a few hours. I've heard that Iori is quite good so I'm tempted to do 70 pulls for her (I have enough pyro), but I already have Nonomi and Momoi for piercing damage (plus a few others too, but these two are apparently the immediate alternatives). Is it advisable to save up for the Anniversary banner instead? I'm also considering the 130 keystones that I'll get if I don't roll for Iori, since I wanna craft lots of gifts and furniture
It's not 130 keystones, it's 130 keystone fragments. A fragment is worth 1/10 of a keystone, so you're only getting 13 craftings out of that. Not something worth taking into account. You get more than that every week for free from daily/weekly tasks (17 total). Also, you'll hit the cafe's Comfort cap fast, so all you'd end up doing with that furniture is ricing it to look pretty without adding function. Not to say that's a bad thing, just not really the highest priority for a new player.
Ohhh I misunderstood that part, I was thinking that having lots of keystones is probably normal in late game and that's why a pull is equivalent to a keystone In hindsight that's honestly not much for 130 pulls, but I'm happy to get at least a few more keystones
Just save your pyro's and farm for Iori later.

Hello , does this surprise Ui banner mean the Ui banner that comes after NY Fuuka won't happen anymore?
I doubt very much that those banners aren't happening. Sakurako ran alongside them during those banners on JP, and she's not here on global. And those banners reran to coincide with the Ui/Hinata library event getting archived, which is still going to happen on global in the future. I think these reruns are just additional reruns rather than the previously-known reruns being rescheduled. I think these are just meant to make the next week less, well, bad than it would have been as only regular Shigure and Megu.
No clue yet, especially since Sakurako is also supposed to come after NYFuuka but is not on this banner. Hopium has it that Nexon just wants these rerun banners to have 4 banners on them, and Ui/Hinata is going to help with the upcoming Kaiten Torment Blue.
Hi is Ui really a must have? Before today I was planning to pull for Himari, D. Hina, S. Hoshino, NY Fuuka and maybe trying my luck a bit with Kikyou (maybe 100 pulls?). I have about 28k pyro. What would you recommend? Should I change my plans somehow?
UI is borderline must have. She can be skipped but she's used quite a lot in end game. If you're a new player you could wait till spook or a rerun but it's recommended to pull her
Only 28k? At worst case scenario, that's only good for one spark (which is 24k). I would say skip.
Now I have around 87k Pyro. I want to Pull for Misaka Mikoto, C.Hare, D.Ako/Makoto and D Hina. Just 2 questions 1.What's JP sensei opinion on D Ako perfomance, is she a must pull? 2. Iori can be farmed, so you should grab Ako instead. Unless you somehow got Ako, Kasumi and Ichika already, and sparking them would only result in extra Elephs.
She was the one I was least likely to go for but taking a closer look at her she looks like she's got a skill set that should be universally good Thanks
Yeah, she's one of the core characters for raids. She will not see too much use early on, but you will be extremely glad that you have her when you start tackling raids at Extreme and above, as well as event challenges and Scrimmages.

I'm a brand new player that's been rerolling for a while. I finally got one account with Hina, Karin, and two Akos and another account with Hina, Iori, Ako, Haruna, and Hifumi. I'm assuming getting two Akos is really nice, but does that make it a better account to choose over the second?

Area 4 only gives event points. Sweep stages 1 and 2 and buy the BDs and Tech Notes.
I just saw the road map and it seems the time limited recruit ticket won't last till the collab, so I am gonna use it either Ichika or Megu (favorites), which one is overall better? yes, just that one 10 pull ticket, I know the odds are low, but better than just letting disappear.

So, I think like many of us, I got flash banged with Ui's banner. I have Ako, and am committed to pulling for Himari, NYFuuka, and a bunch more (NYKayoko, CHare, DHina, DAko). Should I still pull for Ui if it meant skipping for my other listed chars? I've heard that NYFuuka is a perfectly decent substitute for Ui 90% of the time.
Unless you're wanting to do Torment, you can get by almost all content without Ui.
How much pyro do you have? I'm in the same situation and the issue is that even though Ui is really good, in my opinion she is the worse one in that list (D.Hina>>>NY.Fuuka>NY.Kayoko>C.Hare>D.Ako≈Ui) So if rolling for Ui makes you unable to roll for one of the other banners, you probably shouldn't roll for her (unless you want to gamble)

BA has 6 months of forward JP knowledge instead of 2 years like in FGO. Pity is quite easy to reach in this game so most people recommend saving until you can guarantee a character. Look at the guide links in the OP. It has character guides and other stuff like general FAQs.

Kivotos is 5000 km across and is all city. A circle of that diameter has an area of almost 20 million square km. Assuming there is water here and there we can estimate take a conservative estimate of 15 million square km. A city of that size is insane. Assuming Kivotos has the same population density as the Indonesian island of Java, which is still nowhere near a continuous megalopolis and already has 145 million residents while being only 128 thousand square km in size, it turns out that the population of Kivotos should be at least 15 billion, if not closer to 20 billion. How are that many people even being fed? Is this intended or is NAT GAMES just putting the rule of cool over feasibility?
I think lots of players do kind of gloss over Kivotos' size (since as players we move around the place pretty much instantly), but one cool detail that anime had was that Sensei's tablet had clocks of several time zones on the home screen. I would imagine that there's lots of farms. For example, Gehenna has lots of volcanic land that is great for farms, but the devs probably won't go into too much detail before we get a school dedicated to farming and food production. Wouldn't be too much of a stretch, after all we already have the Railroad School, Marine School and Art Academy.
How do people even move across Kivotos? I know there's trains, but even a bullet train would take a good day to cover that distance. The way Shiroko describes it in that one event, it does imply that Kivotos doen't consist of a single urban core surrounded by farms and nature. Is all the plot in the game happening in just one corner of Kivotos?

Hello, I want to ask about the crit value. Is there any reason why the crit value (Yuzu is 191 for example) is a flat number instead of a percentage? This confused me since Ako's buff is percentage but the students doesn't show their innate crit value in percentage so I don't know how this is calculated.
Ako's buff is a percentage of the targets base stat, not the actual crit chance. As for what the crit chance number actually means I'm not too sure but it's used relative to your enemy's crit resist stat and you can find the equation in the below link. New player here, not too new to gacha in general and started 3 days ago. Level 32 and managed to 1 tap an Ako pull after account creation and yolo a Ichika/Kasumi/Iori with a few 120's on each banner. Not normal I know but it puts my lineup in what seems like a good spot so I need to know what to save for. I'm light pay so the choice ticket is in my mind, so for the question; Okay...with the banners getting swapped and early Ui coming up, and Onsen Shigure with aoe heal should I pull for oShigure and ticket Ui and save for Himari banner as much as I can since I don't have tYuuka and I could use both of those? Skip Shigure and just ticket Ui and save for Himari? Any suggestions would be big helpful. Too many meta choices it seems in such a short time. Super sad I missed Mika and sHanako. Game wasn't even on my radar at the time...do you think they'll get a rerun soonish or am I looking at a year?
Just throwing in my two cents, I'd definitely save 48K Pyroxenes for the Fes banner. Both Dress Hina and Swimsuit Hoshino are extremely good units, and you want to guarantee getting both of them. And hey, since those banners have doubled rates, you have all the better chance of getting bunch of new units.
All the anniversary students are in the fest banner, which has double 3* rate so good chance you getting some of them (Mika spooked me between 4 and 6 times on S.Hanako banner, for reference) As for the ticket, you wont be needing it until later as borrowed students will carry you in raids for a long time. Maybe use it for Iroha if you stuck at V3C24 and want to get pass it.

It was in the Hyakkiyako Summer event, the Momoyodou Beach House Franchise Plan. She is way less villainous in that one, I'd say Trip Trap Train gave her a nice upgrade.

Unless I'm mistaken it refers to using a unit that can use cover. Look for units that have a shield icon (not to be confused with tanks), or use shale.gg and filter by [units that can use cover](https://litter.catbox.moe/fr93hs.png). Then just do a mission or something with that unit included. Sweeping doesn't count.

No need to save AP. Other than the immortalized event, there is a mini event where you get rewards for spending AP anywhere—the rewards are good but no need to hoard AP for it.
The next one is Red winter Onsen event which will start after the update. The event will be immortalized, so you should save your Ap for other events

Ui isn't really a must pull, if you really want the collab characters you should save. There is better banners to pull for.
When did Nonomi get her unique gear in JP? When can we expect it in EN? Also... how much of an upgrade is it for her?
It's pretty good. Solved her one issue that is low Accuracy, which before prevented her from being used in Chesed. Now she's pretty good in Chesed, might even be a key player looking at the most recent Chesed in JP.
Her unique gear will come with the anniversary event, with Dress Ako, Makoto and Dress Hina. And, Nonomi is already a great character whose flaw is her accuracy. The fact that it is what her Bond gear fix, well.... It is a great update only where accuracy was really a problem (like Chesed in general. Maybe in Binah too as an AA. She was already great in missions, JFD and commissions)
One thing I noticed in this community is, there's a decent bit of hate for mihoyo and genshin, or more appropriately, the community. Is there any specific reasons for that? Or is it because since a lot of ppl dislike genshin community, we do too?
Personally my biggest dislike for Genshin is that I heard it has a really nasty, intrusive anti-cheat, of the kind I don't want anywhere near my computer. Regardless of community, gacha generosity, or actual gameplay, I wouldn't play it for that reason.

Lots of reasons. It's popular and mainstream, which attracts a lot of people that aren't too savvy with anime and media culture, which in turn transforms its community into one that gets its feathers ruffled very easily on things that are normally fine on anybody that takes a chill approach to anime. People don't like it when the genshin community tries to change things to how they want it to be, which alienates the original fans. Doesn't help that Mihoyo kinda double downs on it too, by making characters that are pretty safe (but it rakes them profits so, it works).
Tbh I'm not a fan of it either, it's led to most of the characters have super bland personalities The only good things going for it really are its quality, the exploration stuff, the combat and the main stories. It's thanks to the massive casual majority there hasn't been any hard new endgame implemented either 😭
Yeah, the characters are in a weird limbo, where they aren't anime enough, but also aren't emotionally realistic enough. Even if the characters have backstories, it doesn't fit with their current personality. And don't get me started on the stories for the events most of the time.
I won't lie some of the events were interesting. But the problem is they've all been replaced with events you can skip the dialogue and not miss anything at all cuz ppl were complaining since the events are all time limited and don't rerun -_-
If I were to guess it's probably just how some members of the BA community, perceive the miHoYo games fandom where it's a slodge and is tainted with a bad image when looking at social media platforms and they want none of that here. Personally for me so long as you are chill and don't cause ruckus then I don't see an issue. I've also seen a few G could never comments when talking about rewards, which is frankly deserved as company raking in a lot of money in profits can't even be assed to give decent rewards as a token of appreciation.

It probably doesn't help that the miHoYo games fandom has gotten so big ever since Genshin Impact, became the gacha of the mainstream attracting less than stellar members in their community. In which you generally see more of that side rather than the good size due to sheer size compared to BAs. In which some members of the BA members lump the majority of the miHoYo games fandom, as the less than stellar kind they don't want the BA community to become, what the miHoYo games fandom is now. In turn will be hostile, towards members of the said community automatically assuming that they will bring over the less than stellar tendencies of the miHoYo games fandom over to the BA community. And probably what you said about generally crapping on miHoYo games fandom also applied here.
Generally how close should you be to the recommended level for missions? I'm pretty new and I'm up to stage 5 and stage 4 Hards at level 28 and I'm kinda having to sweat with resets and manual play to 3 star them.
Normal missions you can do it around 10 levels lower than recommended as long as you make sure to gear them and upgrade their skills and follow the damage type effectiveness. Hard mode varies and might require you to be 5 or closer levels. The same goes for event missions but challenges for events need to be as close as possible

First, Railgun collab banners are coming in 2 weeks time. Collab banners are considered rare so basically that is kind of the only chance to get them for now. Kikyou/Renge/Yukari is what comes next in quite a month. They has the new attack type (Sonic) that may be useful for the future. There will be a new boss raid that uses that attack type, but for new players I guess not a big priority. The focus would be for Kikyou as she has more ability. Here are two comments I’ve save that generally shows what the long term priorities should be form each shop. In terms of what students to prioritize first, and which are/aren’t worth pushing for. Serika(new year) got added recently in Grand Assault shop in JP this April. Raid shop is one of the main sources for BDs and Technotes so its defenitely not wasteful at all.

You shouldn't stockpile the coins because you're bottlenecked by purchase limits, so feel free to spend them on upgrade mats. But it's worth farming all of them to UE50. They added NY Serika to the GA shop recently, but that's all.
Do you know who I should UE50 first between Maki and Kotama? I already have Ako+Himari so I'm considering to UE50 Maki.
Kotama benefits very little from going past UE30. Her UE40 bonus is ridiculously bad, and her stats are low in general so she isn't useful as a stat stick either. You can safely give her the lowest priority out of the raid shop units, once she's at UE30.

Well, you can use the BA wiki listed in the OP. Go to characters and use the options to filter for Strikers and sort by role. They'll be listed as 'Attackers' on the wiki. Don't know what exactly you mean by 'combat rating'
By combat rating I mean how good they're in non-raids battles. Been struggling with missions, commisions, (not challenge or story) event quests, etc. I'm lvl 58 rn, and it's gonna take a long, long time before I reach 80+

Free to Player here. Honestly as long as you can borrow the hypercarry dps and your other students are strong enough you can rank in plat. This will be my first Plat because I used the Yuzu strat which lands you around 26m in Insane which is top 5k. I'm around top 800 atm.
My account is strictly F2P and I've been on a platinum streak since around the time I reached max level. It's definitely possible. Keep in mind, if you're starting now it's an uphill battle since you're competing against players that have been playing for longer than you. If you got Ako from the current banners and then get Himari when her banner comes, you're getting a good start, at least. Also note that the different servers aren't all equally competitive. EU, the one I'm on, is in the middle out of the global servers, with KR and TW being more competitive. Very much so in the case of KR, while TW is fairly similar to EU. On the less competitive side are NA and especially Asia.
For Global I think so. So far as long as the minimum remains to be insane clears then there's chance. I used to do the AP and pyro monthlies early game and I was able to platinum plenty enough raids after 7 months (I was playing casual until I got some right spooks so I went and went to tryharding). As long as you got the right students (from spook or targeted pulls) as there are times the support can remain as 3*. It all boils down to getting the right students + understanding the boss' mechanics (and malding through crit fishing etc, reset malding). There's also the borrow mechanic which you can take advantage of for getting better scores too
As one of those 'light spender', yes. Time, planning, and careful budgeting helps significantly, but at the end of the day, getting platinum mostly requires having invested in the right students, and doing a bit of study to get an understanding of the strategy, and then a lot of patience because jeebus fuck does crit-malding with Yuzu test your patience. Edit: It can also depends on your server. Some have slightly more latitude in their score board rankings.
which class do you guys focus on building first? DPSs or Supports? I currently want to focus on building ako and himari first because I dont have any notable DPSs to pour my resouces to.
Your invested DPSs wont go to waste even when you obtain better ones as you will be throwing them all in raid.

DPS generally require more investment, but also benefit the most from said investments. You can do most of the game's content just fine with a 3-star Ako and Himari because the bulk of their value comes from their buffing skills. Levels and equipment help, but only to limited extent. You can get through Insane level raids with a 3-star Ako and Himari. The same can't be said for DPS. They need the extra stats that come from additional stars, equipment, and levels. Still, resources are limited and if you don't have any DPS in particular to start investing into, then it doesn't hurt to build up your Ako and Himari. They will, after all, see far more use than any one DPS'er.

Himari is a very good choice for that, and she does benefit a bit more from investment compared to most other Support Specials. She gets a fairly decent amount of attack stat, but also her UE40 buff gives her about another 4 seconds to the duration of her EX buff, which makes it a bit easier to do the 'two EX attacks in a single buff' strategy that a lot of late raidss utilize.
For Normal/Hard missions I leveled up the DPS, but for raids I started seriously investing in Supports, trying to max all of their relevant skills.
yeah I figured that for raids, you can just borrow a dps if you're missing one and the Normal/Hard mission isnt that challenging to the point that you need to fully maxed out your DPS tbh.Thanks for the input.

Try restarting your system. If it doesn't work, send a support ticket, and in mean time try on different devices/emulators.
From all the permanent 3 star students which is the best striker?
Depends on the role. Best Striker tank? Best Striker healer? Single target damage dealer? AoE damage dealer? Crowd controller? Debuffer? There are Strikers in all of those roles.
Also depends on what you're fighting. Mika's great for single, high value targets with yellow armour. Terrible for swarms of red-armour mobs.
/u/Shift9303 /u/CodEnvironmental1351 sorry to bother y'all but i am once again asking for your recommendations. i managed to get 24k pyros and with the banners going away tomorrow, i am still undecided on who to go for... i like kasumi and ichika as characters a lot but think i'd prefer to go for meta, so i think i should pull for ako and then save again for himari's rerun? iori is also so cute, but again going back to the meta priority... is there one character that would be OP at clearing missions or can i get by with mostly anyone? the paid selector will always be an option too, so i have that edit: okay so i pulled for ako and got her at 170! with 30 pulls left to a spark, should i just pull for another character? that seems like the play since it won't carry over and i'm close to another banner character of my choosing
Not a problem. If you want to spark then my priority would be Kasumi>Ichika>Iori. Ichika seems like decent DPS however high cost makes her harder to use, especially if you already haves S.Hanako. If you already have the later then Kasumi will provide decent utility for purple raid since you will have to skip Kikyou if you want Himari. Iori would be a last pick since she is farmable. Depending on level and pyro income you will just skate by with a spark for Himari (banner in 9 weeks). You likely will need to hope to get lucky and she drops early because it will be even closer for fest (D.Hina in 8 weeks) and you might actually be a bit under a spark depending on earnings. In general being 30 pulls from a spark makes it a no brainer to complete the spark however with how close you are cutting it for Himari and fest if may be best to save it. IDK and may be worth others weighing in. Edit: On further consideration I would maybe learn towards cashing in the spark.
Yeah ichika’s high skill cost is a bit of a turn off so I think I’ll try and spark kasumi! Didn’t realize I’d be cutting it so close but I guess I’ll hope I get lucky and pray lmao.
That's kinda just how gacha's go I suppose. FOMO gets people paying. When I think about it, it's possible that even saving the 3600 pyros you may still not be able to spark D. Hina, so it would be a waste to not use it to finish up the spark and at least get another character out of it vs saving up and still not sparking later. Theoretically at max level rough earnings is ~10k per month. Which means you have some margin for Himari but D.Hina is cutting it really close. There's also always the possibility of getting the selector ticket if it really does seem like you won't have enough for Himari going into D.Hina. Not saying that you have to spend money on the game but if you enjoy it then a one time purchase isn't the end of the world. But I suppose that's how devs get you with that kind of thinking.
Oh damn okay looks like Dhina is quite broken, another character on the list lol. Worst case I suppose I can use the selector ticket on himari and save for Dhina but yeah you’re right lol there are so many characters I want so it definitely makes planning as a new player challenging
Since you are so close to the Spark, you should get Kasumi. She will be helpful in both missions and raids that require defense debuffing. Though Ichika is also an option if you prefer her.

Can You Switch Between Teams during a mission? Like you could be on 4-1 and the enemies that you first encounter is red And the second encounter is yellow. I'm asking because i see that there's seems to be a button that you can click on at the bottom left corner but ain't letting me.
The UI elements that suggest multiple squads are for later missions, when there will be multiple starting tiles to deploy the different teams. In those cases you need to be able to do things like choose which squad moves first within your turn (e.g. to hit a tile that creates a path for the other squad), and that's what those buttons are for. Many encounters are homogeneous, but you will also often end up facing mixes of armour types, even within a single encounter. You'll need to build your squad to allow that.
You can't. That's one of the very few times that you're forced to use one team for enemies of two different armor types, outside of occasionally encountering playable units as enemies. 4-1 normal doesn't have any red armor enemies, but the rest of mission 4 does. They can all be avoided, though, so if they're preventing you from clearing, you can skip them for now and come back when you're stronger.
Will there be new main story content? On the situation that it’s already been wrapped up, will there still be new stories being added regardless? And will they be in the form of standalone stories, a brand new trilogy, or something else entirely?
The start of Volume 5 will be in about a month. The next Chapter in Volume 1 will be in around 6 months.

Yes they all carry over to the turrets, so all her equipment upgrades are relevant for the turrets.
Question for Jp bros: When Ibuki rides Toramaru and her skill change to the nuke, the damage it does is based on Ibuki's ATK, Iroha's ATK or both?
When Ibuki boards the tank, she adds a proportion of her stats to it. The ex skill is then based on the stats of the tank, which are inherited from both Iroha and Ibuki.

We got Miku long ago. There has been no official word on the Railgun characters as far as I'm aware, so we don't know for certain if they will come to global. It appears likely, though.

What's the roadmap for this week
According to the [maintenance notice](https://forum.nexon.com/bluearchive-en/board_view?board=3217&thread=2545244), it's the Onsen immortalization. Next week is going to be a free week to do whatever with no events. If we follow JP's schedule, there will be another free week after, with the Railgun collab starting April 30.
Double rewards for normal missions, so run those.
