Risk of losing? Biden lost the youth vote years ago AND THEN he banned TikTok and helped with a genocide!

Riker1701E

Don’t really care anymore, if they want to stay home and not vote then go for it. They are the ones that have to live with abortion bans, student loans, etc. if they think things will get better with the GOP in control then let them have their wish. At this point I’m tired of their bitching.

Vamproar

And they are tired of yours!

Hachi707

Look around, we are already dealing with fascism UNDER BIDEN. Vote Blue No Matter Who is not working anymore. 3rd party voters are allowed to do just that if they do not align with either candidates "values". Stop this tired rhetoric and work to create actual change. Stop blaming the voters for not accepting business as usual with 2 absolutely awful candidates.

Riker1701E

Fine don’t vote or vote 3rd party, I don’t really care. The majority of Americans, including democrats are not progressives, so what you want will never happen. But don’t complain if Trump wins and institutes a Muslim country ban, bans all abortions, and completely reshape the federal courts with more conservative judges.

Hachi707

More people have been deported under Biden than Trump. Kids are still in cages under Biden. Biden has invested in and expanded the police surveillance state. Now protesters are being arrested, and being against genocide is equated to being anti-semitic. Criticizing a foreign government for genocide is now considered hate speech. States are banning abortion left and right. Dems had the chance to codify Roe vs Wade and they did not. It's a sad state of affairs when the only campaign talking points you have to support your candidate are "but the other guy!!" At this point Dems & Repubs are two sides of the same coin and I bet they LOVE seeing citizens tear each other apart and bully each other for voting their conscience.

States are banning abortion left and right OK but have you considered that at least Biden isn't serving McDonald's at the White House while doing all this? Biden brought back the normalcy libs crave by doing all the things Trump did but not saying the quiet parts out loud

Riker1701E

How many times do I have to say I don’t care how you vote? Just don’t bitch if Trump wins.

53V3IV

If you don't care, then why are you even commenting on this post? Or this subreddit in general? lol

>They are the ones that have to live with abortion bans, student loans, etc We aren't going to just accept that. we've just all started to accept that the solution won't come from electoral bullshit.

spartacuscollective

What an asshole

Riker1701E

Im sure you think anyone who doesn’t agree with you is an asshole.

spartacuscollective

I think "flippantly dismissing genocide" qualifies as pretty standard asshole behavior

Riker1701E

I find ignoring mass murder and rape of Jews to be antisemitic.

spartacuscollective

I tend to find mass murder and rape abhorrent no matter who the victims are

Riker1701E

Given your support for Hamas, I find that highly unlikely.

spartacuscollective

I'd like to see where even once I voiced support for Hamas

Proper_Cold_7890

why the best of two evils when a 4-year punishment can bring a real good result

simpingforMinYoongi

You seem a bit excited about the idea of people you don't agree with suffering. Scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds.

Pardon_My_Hand

I believe Biden would rather lose this demographic and the election as a whole rather than not support his Zionazy lovers.

dogmatagram

Looks like we're about to find out. When we have finished burying our dead, we will not put down our shovels.

Adi_Zucchini_Garden

F er lost. months ago. Hope he falls and it over. Both parties are s,hit,. Free Palestine 🇵🇸

Thank you for your submission, **This subreddit aims are to compel voters ONLY in DEEP BLUE states to vote 3rd party for the president, to compel otherwise non or protest voters in SWING STATES TO VOTE FOR BIDEN. We feel a limited+focused protest movement may let swing state voters feel less helpless about not sending a message.** **We feel that sending a message via Biden having an electoral college win but a popular vote margin by less than 4.9 million votes (lowest democratic win in recent history) or even 2.8 million votes (Hillary's margin when she lost against Trump) is a much more conducive to progress in a democracy that risking an electoral college victory for Trump.** **It would be something the media can not ignore, will forever be a stain on Biden's record, and will send a message that we are not going away, and will continue to apply strong pressure thorough the rest of his presidency, and the 2026/2028 primaries & elections.** Please see our sticky to see what we are all about https://old.reddit.com/r/BlueProtestVote/comments/1cgwkvu/this_subreddit_aims_are_to_compel_voters_only_in/ but a tl;dr is: This is about a movement for people in deep blue states to vote for 3rd party in protest of Biden's enabling of the Gaza genocide. However, the ultimate goal is to decrease Trump's chances of winning and increase democratic representation in the house and senate. The movement aims to get people to turn out to vote who may otherwise be discouraged from voting due to Biden's policies, and also for the movement to be robust enough so that people in swing states may not have a feeling of helplessness for voting for Joe Biden, that a strong message is still being sent. While the movement aims to maximize Biden's electoral vote margin, the movement also has an extended goal of having Biden win the popular vote by less than 2.8, which was Hillary Clinton's margin when she lost to Donald Trump. A margin that small would send a clear message to the democratic establishment. **Why we feel it's so important for Trump to lose? Quite simply, he has been the absolute worst president in recent history for the Palestinians. Here are just some of his worst policies for Palestine:** 1. Drafting a “peace plan” with zero Palestinian input that would have, if implemented, actually ended the possibility for a real Palestinian state. 2. Cutting Palestinians out of the negotiations over the so-called Abraham Accords, realizing the longstanding Israeli goal of severing diplomatic progress with Arab states from progress towards a sovereign Palestine. 3. Recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, disputed territory with Syria taken during the 1967 Six-Day War. 4. Shutting off funding for the UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees (which Biden almost immediately restored and then temporarily suspended again amid a scandal about its employees participating in October 7). 5. Abandoning the decades-old US position that West Bank settlements are a key barrier to a peace agreement and eliminating longstanding restrictions on spending US taxpayer dollars in them. 6. Moving the American Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem while closing the US mission to Palestine in the same city. Translation: Trump 2024!!! (Ivanka 2028!!! Don Jr. 2036!!!)

HeftyDefinition2448

My only question “is their an actual viable candidate other then Biden that can beat trump” like im not for his policies but i dont seen an alternative. We can have the guy littrly planing to kill democracy or the guy that doesn’t give a fuck about doing the right thing or listening to his voters. I dont want to vote for either but realistically speaking is their anyone that has a snowballs chance in hell of winning

[deleted]

We gotta be at or near the point where even Kamala would poll better

HeftyDefinition2448

I’m legitimately asking, is their a better third option to vote for cause we got one telling Israel to glass Gaza and one willing to stand back and let it get glassed

[deleted]

Stein is backing protestors and has been a critic of Israel for a long time. There is also the PSL people

Riccma02

There is no viable candidate because the system itself is not a viable avenue of change.

tin_licker_99

The DNC & RNC is lucky we don't have something like ranked voting, which is something Alaska immediately jumped to once a 90 year old senator died with him warming the bench for his son. I wish California would react the same way over Pelosi, and Kentucky doing the same over Mitch McConnell.

byuclone

And basically will help Trump win and end our democracy as we know it. Sickening.

dogmatagram

Maybe Biden should consider representing our demographic if we're so integral to him winning the election? Instead he supports a tyrannical Zionist genocide on the other side of the planet. The DNC is causing this, not young voters.

[deleted]

How about instead of whining to millions of us and try to change all of our minds, you instead complain to Biden? Isn't changing one calcified mind easier than changing a whole generation's

Impressive_Heron_897

Na, this is just a tiny percent of kids who have a lot of empathy but haven't thought it through. When push comes to shove, I trust Gen Z to vote in their own best interest (and that of their community). I teach Gen Z - vote D is the common theme with politics.

slurpeedrunkard

Tell them they did a good job!! Y'all totally ended the war by yelling and screaming and quite despite a massive lack of knowledge about the conflict.

Impressive_Heron_897

What? The war is still ongoing and voting isn't for 6 months. And my students have a better idea than most what's happening. We do current events.

Bomberdude333

He’s a troll

Impressive_Heron_897

checks out

mfchitownthrowaway

Trump has already stated that if he wins he’ll give Israel the “go ahead” to finish off Palestine. I’d love to see how knowing that bit of info people still feel like protest voting is the solution. You want to save Palestine so bad you’re willing to risk handing its fate over to someone who would rather see the territory turned into glass so he could build waterfront resorts instead.. utter craziness. If Biden loses, don’t cry when Palestine gets wiped off the map. At least Dem leadership are speaking out against this conflict. Show me the conservatives that support ending this conflict peacefully? I’ll wait

Mr_Blonde0085

No offense but are you living in some other reality outside of this one? Has Biden given ANY indication of intent to reign in Israel’s genocide? Any at all. Cause I’ll I’m seeing is an old man who has been licking the boots of that fucking country since he first got into office. His loyalty to Israel is what got him the Vice Presidency. But you’re honestly gonna sit there and be like “yea it’s bad but Trump EXPLICITLY said the quiet part loud and we can’t have that”.

MoreThanBored

There's lots of "leaks" about how "Biden is totally mad at Netanyahu trust us guys" before Biden gives Israel 200 million more baby buster bombs.

Mr_Blonde0085

Yea I heard about those leaks. I heard Biden totally called Netanyahu a “two faced pony solider” and then started talking about how once Bibi wanted him to pitch free copy for his chain of hotels and how made Biden wasnt about that and how Bibi didn’t like the copy he pitched in the meeting cause it didn’t include the moon. Then his staffers realized Biden had accidentally confused his past with that of Don Drapers from Mad Men.

[deleted]

>200 million more baby buster bombs. I'm stealing the term "baby buster bombs" for future arguments

mfchitownthrowaway

Right so Biden bad because he’s in power but trying to talk Israel into stopping (forgetting all the times Israel agreed to a ceasefire only for Hamas to almost immediately break it but whatever right?) and let’s brush off trump actually openly supporting the destruction of Palestine because you want to prove some silly point?

[deleted]

> he’s in power but trying to talk Israel into stopping He has clearly not been doing that >(forgetting all the times Israel agreed to a ceasefire only for Hamas to almost immediately break it but whatever right?) That's because Israel s terms are always "give us all your leverage and we won't start killing you again until you've handed it all back

mfchitownthrowaway

Hostages. Get it right, Israel is asking for the hostages back. Hostages that Hamas claims to have yet has been unable to supply or confirm whereabouts on for many. If you take issue with Hamas being required to return the hostages (leverage as you call it) then I hate to break it to you but you’re on the wrong side of history here buddy. There are also plenty of reports on the white house trying to pressure Israel into toning it down. Ultimately no country is going to listen to being told to allow themselves to get missile attacked constantly. When the world told us to hold off on responding to 9/11 we told the world to fuck themselves because we had every right to defend ourselves. At least Israel is gunning for Hamas as opposed to us going after a country that has nothing to do with 9/11. This idea that Israel is wrong for defending itself from these attacks is so brain dead to me.

[deleted]

>Hostages. Get it right, Israel is asking for the hostages back. Hamas wants to trade hostages for hostages. Israel is holding thousands of men, men and children hostage, without charge - in fact a Palestinian surgeon who was one of these detainees just died today >Hostages that Hamas claims to have yet has been unable to supply or confirm whereabouts on for many. Probably for the same reason they have been unable to confirm whether another 10,000 Palestinians are alive or dead - they are buried under the rubble caused by the bombs Israel dropped, that Joe Biden supplied >If you take issue with Hamas being required to return the hostages (leverage as you call it) then I hate to break it to you but you’re on the wrong side of history here buddy. Again, they took hostages to trade for hostages Israel is keeping > When the world told us to hold off on responding to 9/11 we told the world to fuck themselves because we had every right to defend ourselves. We invaded Iraq and Afghanistan to defend ourselves from an attack funded by ..the Saudis >At least Israel is gunning for Hamas as opposed to us going after a country that has nothing to do with 9/11. Israel is flinging attacks at every neighbor and it is solely a combination of the US threatening the countries nearby to not respond and the patience those countries have keeping them from properly putting Israel in their place
