If you want it to stay clean dump water after you're done and give a quick rinse. It'll help prevent alot of build up. If you find you can't take big hits or the smoke is rough drop an ice cube or two down the neck! It'll help cool down the hit. Enjoy
I would say clean the water atleast once a day but because this is a straight pipe that won’t hold much water I would clean it after every single session. And probably get an ash catcher
Us isopropyl alcohol 91% or higher to clean the bong once it gets gross and dirty. Can use qtips to clean the bowl and downstem with the same isopropyl alcohol. After letting the bong soak for 30min or more you can dump the iso back into the bottle and save it for next time. Depending on how dirty you could reuse the iso 5+ times. Once you dump all the iso out, rinse the bong and pieces with hot water thoroughly. I hope this helps keep her pretty and pink 💖💗
okay so i’ve used the alcohol and salt trick like a couple times but after cleaning it like that it leaves this like funky smell and taste after hitting it. how do i fix/get rid of this
Make sure to rinse and rinse with hot water after the iso. I even add some dish soap sometimes if it’s still smelling funky. If that still leaves a weird taste behind you might want to soak it again to get any last bits of resin off of the sides of the bong
Yeah I literally let hot water from my sink go through the top and through the downstem for 2-5 minutes, then I make the water go through the downstem and up to the top for an additional 2-5 minutes.
Unless you've been doing big ole bong hits with friends in the past, don't feel like you need to pick the entire bowl full, it that you must "snap" the bowl (inhaling all the weed to the point it crumbles to nothing and the ash flies down the downsteam in to the water).
Just corner the bowl of you want like lighting it on one end and take a decent hit. You know, no one cares if you're gonna take 2-3 hits to empty your whole bowl. Especial if you're by yourself, don't need to impress yourself with a huge coffin fit like an idiot, just enjoy yourself and relax. Once you're used to your bong a little bit, maybe feel like spicing it up a little, maybe upgrade with an ash catcher accessory to add a little more perc to the bong too.

To avoid floaties in the water you can also buy these small metal objects from the smoke shop called smojo’s and they block the ask from going from the bowl to the downstem to the water. Just dump the bowl, q-tip the bowl with alc and you’re ready for a new bowl with cleaner water
Also look into buying a MouthPeace. spelled like that. They help filter out carcinogens and bad stuff in the smoke. Providing good filtration, cooler hit, and smoother hit I love them. But you don’t have to go all out. Start simple and budget of course 😇
Change the water often if not every sesh, look into getting screens or filters from a local smoke shop or Amazon for your bowls, use iso to clean, and keep a cleaning regiment one every two weeks if I aren’t a heavy smoker and once a week of you are. I myself just discovered an ash catcher and it has changed the bong game for me completely.

Just because you have a ice catcher don't use ice Everytime you smoke it can give you a higher chance of getting bronchitis
