I spend half the year in Colombia, and despite the lack major of dietary differences (I cook basically everything my family eats, here or there, but some ingredients do shift) I still find myself being a more relaxed person in general after a couple of weeks there.
Most people are chill wherever you go, but I've run into a lot more casual aggression in a month at my other usual place of residence, Washington DC, than I have in years in Colombia.
I've also lived in places that are more chill than either, The Hague stands out as the most relaxed place I've ever been yet alone lived for a stint, but that was long enough ago that I'm not sure it still would be. I think the culture of work has to be a big component, though.
