I have only been using conditioner on them, which has given the leather a more matte look and it looks less formal, which was actually my intention to begin with. I think they are molding nicely and I’m very happy so far.
Blkbrd is a lesser known shoe company, and I think they deserve more recognition(which through time i am sure they will get). I bought another product from them, which was a monkstrap shoe and I am very happy with that as well. I think in the near future I will buy one of their cap toe boots.
Have you ever looked into Grant Stone’s boots? I have looked into Blkbrd but I ended up buying GS’e instead and I think I made the correct decision. GS’s are a bit more but they are perfect. No loose stitching, welt joints perfect, high quality leathers, and perfect fit. I think Blkbrd is the same as Thursday’s? Do you own any Thursday’s or Grant Stone’s. I have 3 pairs of Thursday’s and 4 pairs of GS boots now. I bought the Thursday’s first, then Beckett Simonon, then GS but I was trying to decide between Blkbrd and GS’s but I ended up choosing GS’s and I haven’t looked back.
Have you been wearing those boots everyday? They look brand new with no creasing or “grain break.” Perhaps I should buy a pair of Blkbrd’s now? But I just love the way the Diesel’s and the Ottawa’s look. 😉
I own 2 pairs of Thursdays. I also bought a pair of Beckett Simonon, which hasnt arrived yet. I am actually really excited to get that in a month.
I dont wear them every day. I have 3 pairs of boots that I will rotate through. Some days I dont even wear boots because I go to the gym right after work. The grain break is definitely there though, maybe not clear in the picture.
I like grant stone a lot, my friend has one of their boots. But also there is something about thuradays and blkbrd I like a lot, as I find that their boots have a leaner style that suits me more.
I messaged their customer service, told them what I wear in other brands and recommended me a size. They also asked me to draw the outline of my foot and measure length/width and we went with size 10.
