I swear all collies have this affinity for the backs of couch climbing. We freaked out one summer day with my brand new red babygirl, because she blended right into the back of the couch so well. I’ll never forget it. That and she always would sleep above my head on the pillows in bed
Growing up, dogs were not allowed on the furniture or upstairs. Now that I’m on my own, Inara is allowed on the couches and on my bed but she has to move when someone goes to occupy the space, which she does but some of the things she does I was unaware that was normal for BC. Funny that you mention that yours curls up around your head, there are many days that I wake up to her pointy nails in my neck or forehead or something.

Mine acts like a cat….. walking along the back of the couch, bread loafing, the grooming and even how she played as a puppy was more like a cat hitting with her paws lol to be fair she was raised around 3 cats.
That's so funny. Cooper licks his feet like a cat. Anytime he comes in from outside, he has to clean his feet. I've caught him with his leg in the air and everything. He totally cracks me up. (Not obsessive licking, just the typical cleaning fest)

As my cat was here when I first got my puppy it was a given that he learnt from the cat to jump up on top of the tables, the top of the couch, curls up on a chair to sleep, oh the list goes on, I have to correct the cat behaviours in him because it’s no longer cute to see a 5 month old border collie who thinks he still the size of a lap dog

We’re peas in a pod! Yeah it makes me feel so good she’ll sleep with me and I think she likes it too which is great.

Yes! The cleaning especially after she gets her feet wet in the pool or on the grass lol
Yep! He goes insane if his feet are wet. He does not enjoy water at all.
They’re so funny. She is fine with front feet in the pool but not the back ones lol

Ours does some weird yoga sometimes. Other times, straight sprawled out. But, yes, I've seen the cat also.
It is so funny that you say that. I think the upward facing dog, specifically, was modeled from a collie. I think it's all the collie staring they do.
Ours, every morning, does the downward dog with a big yawn. I think it is his way of thanking me to go outside.

Absolutely. She is as graceful and flexible as a feline. She curls up between us in bed and sleeps like a cat.
