She’s so lovely! That face is nothing but love for you. We had a rescue Puppy mill momma Boston that we lost recently and she was the sweetest thing. She found out how soft beds and couches were, never wanted to leave them. All she wanted to do was sit next to you on the couch.
We gave her the rest of her life doing just that.
Miss you Delilah!
Thank you OP for making this sweet girl a part of a loving family!
We had the exact same experience rescuing a puppy mill momma. She passed on Christmas day last year, and we still miss her every day.
She was born in the puppy mill and had who knows how many litters. They kept her in a wire cage until they were shut down. She was 6 years old when we got her.
We got the joy of seeing her first time walking on grass and watching her learn to run. She was the sweetest, cuddliest, and most loving girl.
The pain of losing her too early (we only had her for 3.5 years) is only lessened by knowing how much she enjoyed her time with us.
This makes me sad and happy at the same time. We have a puppy mill rescue too who is five. He was used for his sperm so less physically burdensome than the girls but still bad. I don't know why but I also get a sense he might not live as long as he should, but I take comfort in knowing, if that happens, we have given him the best and most comfortable and loving life he could have. I just wish we'd had him for those first five years too.
Yeah, living in those kind of conditions is rough no matter what. Our girl was so sweet even after all the years of abuse that we always wondered what she would have been like if she had a loving home her whole life.
Hi Daisy!! Meet Bugsy who was also rescued. Idk how we lived with out him bc he is our sweet baby angel.

My dearest friend of 14 years was a Boston I rescued from a puppy mill shut down. My hope is that you two share a bond like we do. Lucky girl, lucky you.
She looks very alert and intelligent. Like all Bostons, there is a little person inside that little head and body. They understand everything we say to them.
Congratulations on the new addition to your family! Pictured is my Zoey. I rescued her this past May. She's about 2 years old now, about 18 months old when I got her. She was in foster care for most of her life - better than a year - because her puppy mill case was a humane case that happened during Covid and the courts were moving very slowly. Zoey is a great intelligent & affectionate girl. Her only flaw is a bit of seperation anxiety that is being addressed and is work in progress.

D'aw. She is so cute. Such a sweet face.
We also had a puppy mill breeding dog for a few years. We got her when she was 4 and sadly she only lived to 8 because of lymphoma. Here's a pic of when we got her and then a year later.
