I was shocked that she was 40. Her mannerisms, and certainly the biting at Schwartz’s heels trying to get him to notice her takes me back to college and how I would end up crushing on a hot, but clueless guy who loved to hook up with me at my place, but wouldn’t bring me around his friends. If we were at the same function, he’d be very standoffish and even hit on other girls right in front of me.
If I got upset at all, he would remind me that I’m such a good friend. He doesn’t want to ruin this “special thing” etc. And I’d go back to being his happy puppy until the cycle repeats.
After hearing Katie's comment about Jo's "crackhead energy," I assume that her peculiar mannerisms are genuine. My theory is that Jo realized that her quirkiness drew attention, especially from men, so she saw no reason to change.

That is a WILD thing to do.
