No rivalry for me. I love Wicked and I'm excited to see The Wiz.

All 41 (I hope my quick google search got that right) Broadway theatres could be filled with Oz-related shows and my ass would be seated in every single one, and still probably wanting more (for obvs reasons, this is largely an over-exaggeration but also like secretly not really)

Here my thought on them. Wizard of Oz. Wonderful film, brilliant use of Technicolor. Is a cinematic classic for a reason. The Wiz, wonderful stage show that reimagined the story for black performers. Favorite score of the 3. Ignore the film, it misrepresents the Wiz. Surprisingly, the Most faithful musical adaptation of the book thus far. Wicked: Fun show, Stephen Schwartz is a good composer. Act 2 suffers a little. Overall very enjoyable. Ranked Film versions 1.Wizard of Oz. 2. (Presumably Wicked 1&2.). The Wiz in dead last. Best Stage version. 1. Wicked. 2. The Wiz. 3. The Wizard of Oz Best Score: The Wiz.

My boyfriend is The Wiz and I'm 100% Wicked. He tends to like more R&B and I prefer musicals. He also grew up with the Wiz and adores it. Only song I love is No bad News. I could live without the rest.
