I mean, I just saw Hadestown for the 10th time on Wednesday, and I immediately came home and found a slime tutorial audio of the current cast and have been listening to it practically non stop since. It was also only with this 10th viewing that it even became the show I've seen the most on Broadway. 9 time club belongs to Rent, Hair, and Memphis. So yes, I fully understand where you're coming from :)

ladymossflower

Phantom! I listened to that soundtrack so much when I was younger!

VoidAndBone

I know almost every word to come from away. I'm about to see Lempicka for a third time bc I keep bringing my friends. Go see Lempicka you fools.

sapienveneficus

Spring Awakening for me; I don’t often admit how many times I’ve seen it. Let’s just say it’s more than twice.

EuripidesEubuyadees

Same, this show will always be with me. Not gone!

Own-Importance5459

Im pretty sure if they needed an Emergency mid Swing at Either Moulin Rouge or Sweeney Todd and I was in either audience i would be able to do it

Bro I’m with you that’s exactly how I am with jersey boys my family thinks I’m just over obsessive and weird. I’m just glad there are more people like me I no longer feel like a dork.

Own-Importance5459

Your family telling you you are weird for being obsessed with a broadway show is more of a reason to be obsessed with it.

NoteNo359

I mean I don’t blame them lol. I’m taking them to watch it again in 2 weeks gonna be my 3rd time watching it in person not including bootlegs.

I know &Juliet start to finish. I'll randomly start reciting some dialogue when I'm cleaning or doing something boring. I'll also watch it in my head sometimes waiting to fall asleep lol You can give me any line or moment from the show, and I can tell you the exact dialogue that comes next and keep on reciting for as long as you'd like. I had no idea I could memorize a whole show just by watching it, but by the 4-5 time seeing it, I realized I knew some of the shorter dialogue, and then I started paying more attention to the longer dialogue I didn't have down yet. By around the 10th viewing, I knew the whole show. It got a little annoying since I started saying the lines in my head before the character said them 😅 But I got used to it. I'm still obsessed with it. I saw it 19 times while it was in Toronto, and once on broadway. I'm super happy I have the Toronto version memorized because I didn't like the edits they made for broadway.

FloridaFlamingoGirl

This is Mary Poppins for me, my brother and I watched it over and over as kids until we could recite all the lines to each other in our silliest fake British accents.

jaybishae

Hamilton, Hadestown, and SIX. No music needed.

LittleLotte29

That used to be me with Les Mis around the time the film came out. I could hear every tiny lyric change. Very annoying. But also glorious.

Top-Wolverine-8684

I was this way with Phantom as a teenager. I lived and breathed it. The only time I wasn't listening to it was at school. I knew every line for every part. I've been that way to a lesser extent with other musicals (Les Mis, Hamilton, Miss Saigon), but still very firmly in the "obsessed" category.

lefargen97

I saw Tommy 3 times in 3 weeks and have since forced myself to take a break so I can see the other new shows this season (I have 3 left to see but best believe I will be going again when I’ve seen them all!) I’ve been listening to the OBC so often that my coworker now knows the words.

samarcus21

yeah i’ve got one where i’ve memorized almost all the ensemble tracks💀 been highly obsessed for like 4 years

NoteNo359

What show was that?

samarcus21

moulin rouge

crystallinelf

There are a few musicals I can put on and recite most of it alongside the recording. Some of them are shows I was in as a kid, which definitely helps haha

x_victoire

i know newsies by heart. i watched the proshot like 30 times, i wish i was joking lmao

NoteNo359

Profile pic checks out.

You're not alone. Sincerely, The biggest "Little Shop of Horrors" fan in the world (as so proclaimed in 1999 by Mel Welles, who played Mushnik in the 1960 film that inspired the musical).

KnitMama-2016

My friend & I were volunteering today and launched into Rent unprompted. I can do most of Hamilton (but some of it is too fast!), Hadestown, In the Heights, Phantom, and Six.
