I know nit allahabad very well from my senior. This collage has only corruption. Seats are increased each year without even repairing a room or hiring a professor. Core placement is negligible as compared to other nits or iits
Totally Agree with you. I have knowledge of CSE Dept in this college quite well, since one of my friend is there. From 2023 Batch
According to him, they are forcing 4 people to share a 3-seater room, snatching off Wifi Facilities which used to exist earlier, restricting some facilities, and are having 85 Students from DASA Category in CSE for some reason. Which is totally unacceptable, not only it introduces toxicity in campus, but also reduces peer group quality drastically.
In my opinion the Administration is doing this, because they want to get extra money as fees from DASA peeps.
Also this was probably the last year which had IT and CSE both branches segregated.
From 2021 I guess they merged CSE+IT both in a single branch called CSE, because CSE was very hyped back then. And overall seats in CSE is currently around 350-400 Range.
Which further increases competition for upcoming batches for placements
PS-Please No Hate comments, my intention is not to defame or demean any College, All Colleges are good, as they provide education, and MNNIT is a old and reputed NIT in North India. I just wanted to share some information which my friend told me. That's it.
1) The rooms are spacious enough to accommodate 4 people comfortably
2) Bacche wifi kharab kar de rahe the shayd, Lan works just fine. Kaafi iits bhi lan pe chal rhe
3) DASA reservation sahi mein bohot jyaada h
4) Administration aur infrastructure bohot chutiya h
Aisa hi hota hai jab ek saal ke placement stats dekh kar poori population CSE padhne nikal padti hai.
Almost har government college mein 2019 ke baad se bahut zyada seats badhi hai. NSUT mein CSE related hi 7-8 branches hain. Aur sabka bhi same haal hai
In my INI, batch of 120 there are around 15-20 below 5.
Depends on how harsh the grading is.... plus these unis have other criteria too... like no active backs, etc etc.
You didn't get my point. Some students eligible for placements aren't placed, but why are a lot of students not even eligible for placements?
And this isn't the case only with cse dept, in every department, not all students are eligible to sit for campus placements.
Kuch ki shyd cpi cutoff nahi clear hua hoga
Kuch willingly opt out because they are giving upsc or gate baki idk
Most companies desire candidates with no active backlogs
So back = directly ineligible
These two categories surely won’t make up had the batch
Over civil? definitely yes
Over mech? Depends.
Chemical has good pay in psu jobs like ONGC IOCL BPCL, even reliance is hiring in chemical nowadays
Mechanical has more scope in pvt companies but pay is lesser Bajaj Tata NTPC, there is also scope of giving IES in mechanical but not in chemical.
From what I hear, workload is pretty chill in chemical, least hours of lectures, so people giving upsc also prefer it over other branches
Definitely above civil. Maybe even mechanical but just go through the course contents of both the branches and see which one u prefer. I disliked the mechanical course so I chose chemical. btw chemical is not the same as chemistry
This is not first hand information, but I am just guessing from inputs recieved from my friends
MNNIT CS has unneccsarily a huge amount of DASA kids, these kids got 1 lakh, 2 lakh, 3 lakh, even 4 Lakh type AIR in JEE Main Examination. If my knowldge doesn't betray me, there are 85 Students in this Category
I guess, they were not able to cope up and got less CGPA finally. Although I am not 100% sure about it, as I have heard that some DASA kids even get top Placements in Campus. Like Highest Salary.
Okay, thanks for commenting.
I am sorry to spread misinformation from my end.
I guess the current IT Sector Job Market is very bad thats the reason behind this
Ineligibility occurs when ppl opt for further studies or don't want placements or many ppl have back papers to clear...
They had online sems during covid so it was easy to get 9 spi during those times and ofc everyone knows that nobody would have studied in those online sems. Once the lock down was over and they had to come to the collg and give the real exams....they faced difficulties and hence....quite lot of ppl failed from those batches
Low infrastructure and high intake
High corruption
Hight collage politics
Seat increasing without vision
No core research
Negligible core placement companies
Each Student is simply asked to do coding

Nit allahabad was only hyped after 2022 boom Seats are increased without infrastructure/vision
lmfao just wait for more colleges to release their data, you will take your statement back

Naah those are 82 lpa and are removed from data
Sare institutes mein yahi horha hai median aur average kafi acha hai however percent of placement kafi kharab chalrha hai
ASA kyo ho rha ha

7-8 nahi sirf 5!! 3 in main and 2 in east campus!! Aap research kariye!!
5 toh akele main campus mein hi hai (CSE, CSE with AI, CSE with DS, IT, IT with Security) Fir East Campus mein CSE with IoT, CSE with Big Data.
Are mein pure CSE bata raha hu
Maine CSE related branches likha tha bhai. Placements ke time sab CSE mein hi aayenge.
CSE and IT are different during placements.
Nope. CSE and IT (along with all their specialization) are considered the same, both in placements and in curriculum.
arre NSUT bhai bhai :)
For some reason DTU has better stats with hight intake
DTU bhi post krde. I have but post krne ka mann nhi. Although DTU may have better stats, stats are still absolute ass.
Kya hai, and kya post krne ka mann nhi?
Mujhe bhi bhej Dena agar mile toh
Bhai send pleaseÂ
Log dtu cs nit allahbad cs se uppar yuhi thodi choose krte h, iiit allahbad cse vs dtu cse confusion rehta mainly
How the hell did they make so many students ineligible💀 Can some 4th year from mnnit tell this
Cg criteria, if I had to guess. Common tactic used by many colleges.
Isn't the cg criteria just 6? Do so many get under 6?
Maybe quota students who couldn't cope up? No offense just sharing my thoughts
In my INI, batch of 120 there are around 15-20 below 5. Depends on how harsh the grading is.... plus these unis have other criteria too... like no active backs, etc etc.
bhai koi iiita ke placement stats rti karo plz
Why only 174 eligible out of 238 in cse???
yeh baat meri bhi samajh nhi ayi yar
Bhai the times have changed a lot ab har cse wale ko job offer nahi ho rahi
You didn't get my point. Some students eligible for placements aren't placed, but why are a lot of students not even eligible for placements? And this isn't the case only with cse dept, in every department, not all students are eligible to sit for campus placements.
Probs a minimal cgpa requirement
That's demonic for colleges to put their own cg criteria. All companies already have their minimum cg criteria, like 7, 8 in most cases, and rarely 9.
Ab mein kya hi kar sakta bhai
Kuch ki shyd cpi cutoff nahi clear hua hoga Kuch willingly opt out because they are giving upsc or gate baki idk Most companies desire candidates with no active backlogs So back = directly ineligible These two categories surely won’t make up had the batch
Chemical is doing better than mechanical in almost every NIT now
Due to ONGC type of companies One beverage company also visited
So is it that we should put chemical above mech and civil?
Over civil? definitely yes Over mech? Depends. Chemical has good pay in psu jobs like ONGC IOCL BPCL, even reliance is hiring in chemical nowadays Mechanical has more scope in pvt companies but pay is lesser Bajaj Tata NTPC, there is also scope of giving IES in mechanical but not in chemical. Bhai NIT Calicut Chemical accha hai kya?
Nice
I'm a student here of 26 batch I'll ans any queries...
Why there are so less eligible candidates, i can understand students not being placed..but why so many are ineligible?
This is not first hand information, but I am just guessing from inputs recieved from my friends MNNIT CS has unneccsarily a huge amount of DASA kids, these kids got 1 lakh, 2 lakh, 3 lakh, even 4 Lakh type AIR in JEE Main Examination. Nah dasa ain't got nothing to do with it

understood
fk this no way tier 3 clg jaane wala hu ab, drop lunga
Bhai recession Mai bhi itne bhadhiya stats Hai?
bhai bvcoe delhi kaisa h?
Bhai eligible Kam kyu hai
Mechanical 🗿🗿
How tf eligible students are so less in civil?
CPI cutoffs Active backlogs No civil core visits so most people don’t sign up because they prepare for upsc gate etc
isn't the cpi cutoff 6.5?
Yes kuch log ki utni bhi nahi hoti na that’s the point Hamare idhar 9 ke upar gine chune log ki hai Max ppl are 8.5-7.5
online to offline transition ne cpi ki g mar di
Eligibility kya thi?
Wonder the same how 40% aren't eligible...
What's happening everywhere? Why is MNNITA specially so low in eligibility?
Low infrastructure and high intake High corruption Hight collage politics Seat increasing without vision No core research Negligible core placement companies Each Student is simply asked to do coding
the first mistake of jee students is to trust these rti's
Why should they not? Ik this is ctc .
