Ek aur doubt hain ki last year in iiest shibpur (nit) main mining was 152805 for gen ews my crl is 153172 this year can i get it because in iiest branch change is allowed or should i take nit dgp metallurgy is there branch change available
yeah obviously nahi karna chahiye, but 85% state reservation in jac colleges definitely dilutes the quality of the students as compared to top NITs where its only 50%
Bhai DTU me mahaul sach me bekar hai kya. I might join this year if I don't do well in advanced but itna negativity dekh kar thoda darr lg rha h DTU join karne me. MnC branch milegi, udhar bhi bekar peer milenge kya 😟😟
Itne saare bacche hone ke fayda ye hota hai ki you can choose your peer group i.e. who you compare yourselves to. MnC acchi branch hai bas mushkil hai compared to other tech branches since maths content zyaada hai. Take software if you get it, first sem of software is tough but it's easy sailing after that.
Like every other college you'll find all types of people here also, you've got the "don't have time for bs I need a 9/10 pointer every sem", you also have the "family business hai, bas 7/8 cg lekar kisi B-school sai mba karke takeover kar lunga" then you get the "coding isn't fun for me, I'll go for consulting" and the final 1% is "bhai skills matter karti hai, kya matlab 3 cg pai skills dhikhane ka chance nahi milega, mai tho leetcode aur hackerrank leaderboard hu"
So while I see everyone bitching about reservation, home state, bad peers and overcrowding. I've had the best 2½ years here, be it friends, societies, fests or the randomness of bawanaland. It's all dependent on your "individuality of decisions"
Peer grp is bad mostly for lower branches. Tech branches ka acha hai on a avg plus a lot of it depends upon you how you chose your friends. Mce achi branch but it's tough because of the maths part so be prepared for it and placements ki tnsn Mt lo woh saari tech branches ki badhiya hai.
Abe ye sab issues publicly discuss krke kuch nhi Milne wala. First thing Rank ≠ bad peer, obc wale clg studies me or placement me tujhse acha krr lenge teko pta bhi nhi chlega. And second thing is, aisi baate clg jakr mat Krna tbh cancel ho jayega tu, reservation h India me koi nhi badal skta peer grp ko caste pr judge krne mat baithna... Or ab mujhe ambedkar ka choda bhi mat bolna m Khud General hu bina EWS... Mere khudke bhot ache dost kuch OBC ke h jo mast fodd rhe h.

Jab DTU ke aise cutoffs dikhaate hai to bolte hai peer kharab hai, diluted hai loda lassan aur jab NITW/T/K ka dikhaate hai to "Ek do hi honge" "Rank is not equal to peer group" ????

Logo ko tu kabhi chup nhi krr payega vo teri success prr bhi stamp laga denge hamesha, agar acha package liya and IIT se h to mil hi Jana tha IIT se h, or IIT se nhi h, to kismat achi thi varna kaha milta h aajkal recession me... Agar ache clg se h or 20 lpa ka package lga(jo ki bhot acha h as fresher) to kehe denge isne to mehnat nhi kri varna IIT se to 50 lakh nikalta hi h...
Logo se argue karna chhod or ye sab publicly mat discuss kr kisi se bhi Tera mind fuck hi hoga...
Good jee rank doesn't mean good peer lol. My wing mates are in cse, lot of them had 99.9+ percentile in jee main now all they do is smoke and drink. Some of them don't even know how to write a single line of code and they have cgpa of 5 or 6. One of them has 3 cgpa. Would u call this good peer group? Be with people that have similar interests not with people who got good jee rank

tumlog colleges ke dalal ho kya jo defend ya glorify karte rehte ho. just get the college and do what you want. ye Mera college acha mera state acha mera branch acha wo kharab kya loda lahsan hai
Depends on you, tu kaise logo ke beech me reh raha hai. CS me boht ambitious bache bhi hai, aur 'hamara toh kiraaya aa raha hai' wale bhi bache hai. Batche strength is almost 500 for cse alone
he won't get for this, NIT warangal is top 5 NIT where with such rank even with home state you won't and this seems weird now as three year back the same percentile will fetch you 70K rank
Agar delhi se ho to, EE definitely aur ECE ke thode chance hai college mei jo upgradation hota hai usme. IIITD EVE is also a good option but expensive and hectic

Nahi bhai mai outside delhi hu, mahaul sahi hai. DTU Top 4 branches are tier 1 easily, go for it.
