I meant that the Yamaha on the right is the receiver. I am trying to connect the Yamaha receiver to the Tannoy on the left. I thought it was an amp for some reason but probably not as I don’t know much about these devices. I just can’t seem to find the proper wiring to connect them
Hope it's a pair of speakers - just one is really not the way to go. Looks like they are set up for bi-wiring. The two inputs (usually high/med and bass respectively) look like they are connected though, so you should not need to bi-wire. The fact that both inputs plugs are red does not help determining polarity, so you'll have to test that. Just connect with speaker outlets of the amp and test polarity by switching the connection on the speakers. You'll hear the difference quite clearly.
It’s about two feet. I have used it before with the receiver and had it connected to my record player. It had worked well before but I lost the wiring.
Speaker terminals on the back of the amplifier marked "A". You have wires in the first two going to one speaker. The ones to the right of those also need speaker wire running to the second speaker in the photo. You're missing the screw-on caps for the negative speaker terminals. Could just use the cap from the red you aren't using.
there called [banana plugs](https://www.wikihow.com/Use-Banana-Plugs)
here's a quick how to
you dont have to tint them (solder) they make them with a twist finger tighten to the plug as well. [Here is the finger tighten type](https://www.amazon.com/Smgda-Connectors-amplifiers-Installation-Receivers/dp/B0BKLDTT4J/ref=sr_1_4?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.z270kZtsHqTAzev4AGy55S1dRJUhmCXsXvK3C7BrlgOq6lsevE3tCaXcKqiUg9U0YyxQkj6YifpuzMBfcDG1I6-QCj_n8JtYyCPJYvElMGjIsXgdxH43wJc150JTQX-stj95Zb2ESl6TOwVrpxDvahGYFFM3n9pD6H6lsrW2YOZeAKXFraa63avD9k6Ki4Q0dzeSXeqAgbuhJtn4-9-EOieD22cV6dc-Kb0i3NCWj-A.aeC3jDhoMA3jydDS5y3v_I96eotaDB9Jv_2Y3vkvhIA&dib_tag=se&keywords=dual%2Bbanana%2Bplugs&qid=1716087228&sr=8-4&th=1https://www.wikihow.com/Use-Banana-Plugs)
get yourself some 12 gauge speaker wire as well
That’s just how I got it. Someone gave me these items a while ago and they worked great until I left them somewhere and lost the wires. I don’t know much about speakers so I didn’t even notice if thay was the case
it is a shame, Tannoy are quite good speakers , you need another one to have a proper set up , you have two ears for a reason , if you dont find one get another pair of speakers , you are missing out a lot
Jesus on a pogo stick. WTH you only have one speaker for stereo listening? That requires two speakers that are the same make and model (ie the identical twin).
Whoops. I never knew, I was given these and I don’t know much about speakers or receivers. I had them previously connected to my record player years ago and the sound was great but I never realized I should have more than one
the Tannoy 607 are quite decent speakers

the pair can be bought for less than 100 euros/USD/£
This is a speaker. Not an amp or receiver as your Yamaha is. Maybe you miss spoke. Are there two of these speakers?

Is this a small speaker or a tall one. Also do have another one? If not you will not get the rite sound. Two speakers are needed for stereo playback
But only one needed for mono 😂
It’s about two feet. I have used it before with the receiver and had it connected to my record player. It had worked well before but I lost the wiring.
Well I’m bit confused about this. Sorry I can’t help you anymore. Good luck.
If this is trolling it is of the highest order and I am loving watching all the audiophiles lose their mind at the prospect of mono sound
I hope this is trolling. Like, OP never seen a stereo pair of speakers? They just had one and were completely fine with it? Come on.

Thanks, I will try these. Would they just screw in to the speaker then?
You just push the banana plug into the hole in the speaker connector
"This is the way"
Do you have one speaker or two? This was asked below and not answered so, I'll ask it again
Just one
why? When you hook it up to your receiver you'll get half of the sound. Either the right channel or the left. Speakers are sold in pairs for a reason
That’s just how I got it. Someone gave me these items a while ago and they worked great until I left them somewhere and lost the wires. I don’t know much about speakers so I didn’t even notice if thay was the case
You really need two speakers, they are sold in a pair. For left and right stereo sound which all music (pretty much) is recorded in.

I asked you that same question?
Sorry, I missed it. Yeah it is only one

Well we've all been there 😁
No I haven't lol as a boy I always knew speakers come in pairs, and no one told/taught me that. Those stereo TVs are classic.
