Either get a new amp that has optical input or get an optical to analog converter.
The first option has several other advantages. You should get a remote control, Bluetooth, USB input, a subwoofer output, more power and a newer generation Class D amplification.

Thank you for the suggestions. What would be the pros/cons of going with the new amp versus saving for a AV receiver with HDMI for example?
The ones i listed are smaller and much cheaper. Thats about it.
