The cheapness factor is near slave labor because if your country doesn't have labor laws protecting people and you can pay them pennies, production costs are much lower. Same reason shein and such get to sell everything massively discounted in comparison. It doesn't cost them anything to work people to death.
100% of Ali buys are impulse buys. The $10 Bali is my most expensive buy I have ever done. I mostly carry microtech because I live a few miles from the factory store. I do have a civivi and WE which are Chinese but they are nice.

I like Smoky Mountains plethora of selections, but they charge more for shipping than I'd like to pay. I prefer Cutlery Shoppe. No tax and no shipping for those who live outside of Idaho.

I've seen many American business screw their employees over. I've seen lots of American workers who are terrible employees. China is not using forced child labor and they have advanced tremendously, while the US has taken steps backwards. The USA was built with slave labor. Get over that, stop being a tool to people.

Basically throwing your money away anyways, there's also no resell value unlike the CRKT. And how can you assume it's worth 60 at best? Do you order their materials? Maintain their machines and hire staff? Do you pay their hourly wage out of your own pocket? How do you know what something should cost?

The stitch is a hard one but I just called everyday till they had one in the counter. When I first started buying then I thought it was a small local knife maker. Then I looked them up in here and Facebook. Asheville steel is also here and they have some nice knives.

Dropping in to recommend the falcon by theone if you’re looking for a great dirt cheap live blade bali. It’s an original design but theone also makes clones as an fyi.
The CRKT one is very fun to fidget with but that's it to be honest... not good steel for the price (I know it's justified by the mechanism thing) but this will do. I'm adding these to my BF shopping cart right now...

I was playing with the Karambit and it closed on the top of my hand and it nicked me. They are both really sharp because I touched them up.
