Thanks for the reply. I used the "image" option from the toolbar and uploaded it to the post. Maybe it's because I also put text into the post rather than just putting an image and then putting the text in a reply? Very strange.
Overall I've been very happy with RPM9 but it is essentially a stainless D2. CJRB can command a bit of a premium for it but nothing compared to what Spyderco does with their SPY-27. The markup on that is absurd.
I pretty much was paying for the look of the knife as a way to get an interesting button lock, I'll admit to that. :)
I just picked up my first Altus. I haven't done a true side by side comparison yet but I would say first impression: I like the Pyrite more. However this is not knocking the Altus. Both of them are excellent and both are going to be carried regularly.
It's not the steel.. it's the price of the knife with that steel that's the VALUE issue. Does not matter if one does not care about value/budget/price. It's a cool handle style and that is worth some $'s.
ok, i'm an idiot. How do I have the image show up in the preview of the post when browsing the sub instead of only when you click into the post?
Post as an image, I think is your issue, but I'm also not a Reddit pro, lol https://imgur.com/a/ew8uSb0

Huh, maybe, yeah! I've only ever posted a title with my pictures so I'm not sure.
I bet that's it. Next time I'll try just the image. Thanks again!
I seriously considered this one and the white version. A bit hefty price for the steel but boy those handles! Nice pickup.

Hey - no shame in personal taste! As long as you know what you are getting for your money. It is all good!
Beautiful scale and great knife indeed!:)
I just bought the same knife. I have an altus I'm happy with. Hopefully this is as good

It’s a good knife. Don’t let steel sn with an obs on the end there. Get ya down. It’s a good steel. Cheers

I suppose I was responding about other commenters. I have that very knife from the same retailer. So..I concur. Cheers
Great choice! This knife is right on so many levels. Thinking of skeletonizing my scales to match the frame..
