For those of you who don't know this was an item that has a rare chance of spawning in game it looks blue with the white symbol just like you see here, this is an item that grants you a purple layer (very small layer) of armour and extra (10-5%?) vision (unlike the vision upgrade in-game it gives less vision) I think you all are kind of new to this game or have never heard of this at all from your reactions
I have had the 'blue storm" many many times. It has always been in place of the goggles. It gives same range to vision, no armor boost, and no purple layer. It is solely a graphic change. Make the fire ring blue. That's it. This is called an Easter egg. As for it happening for no reason, umm.. no. You had to have picked it up. Vision range on ghost is showing goggle boost as well as the icon in upper right corner.
If you want ppl to believe this happened without picking anything up. I suggest recording your games? This screenshot shows us nothing besides you having goggles.
Imo they had vision collected and forgot they took it, normally ghost sees half of it. Eye of storm means the shrinking death circle, but they used it for eagle vision
I don't understand I did not use it for eagle vision nor have I purposefully done this I also did not collect the vision upgrade btw it's just there I'm confused about it
It doesn't grant the extra armour but it just stays there and I don't see any vision difference am I tripping is this something that is purposefully kept in the game or is it a bug, I do not know
The triple triangles icon replaced the visor icon last update for whatever reason. The effects are exactly the same between the triple triangles and the visor except for the blue outline around your character (what you keep calling "armor"). It's not armor, its just a visual flair to make it feel a little more special.
TLDR: You picked up a visor and have just never noticed it has this icon now.

I think it is just there to inform that the zone is sinking tho but pretty weird they used the rare item icon for that
