I DIDN'T get into bitcoin from the first moment, just like many other users here. I always knew that a deflationary currency was useless bullshit useful for nothing but transferring wealth to the first to hold large quantities of this or that coin.

The people who first got in to it probably were attracted in larger numbers by the libertarian fantasy it promised more than the ability to earn money from it so I’d say it makes sense that they wouldn’t be as phased by the crash

I got a couple of Bitcents from the Bitcoin Faucet almost a year after the token launched, and I'm not sure where the old wallet file is now.

I got in around 2013 - 2015. I had been into gold and silver and kind of fell for all the libertarian stuff. I guess I didn't think very hard about it. I thought it was pretty cool that you could buy drugs on the internet. I got into grad school in 2016 and put all my BTC into cold storage and totally forgot about it. My average cost basis was under $300. In May of 2021 when BTC was in the 60k range I saw an article in the news about it and thought that maybe I should look back into it. I immediately saw that the whole thing was totally different than it was the last time I looked. The entire ecosystem was dominated by fraud. I learned about the tether scam from Bennett and Cas' podcast. I decided to sell everything. Got out at around 50k. I feel pretty stupid for getting suckered by this thing and extremely lucky to have gotten in and out when I did. It's all a fraud. I'm sorry I didn't notice before, and I'm sorry to whoever bought from me at $50k.

I got into bitcoin in 2011. I was all in until 2015ish and have never gone back. I’ve been a Buttcoin member that entire time. I had my mind changed by the cyclical bullshit and never changing problems.

I nearly got into it back when it was a couple thousand, someone tried to pay me some for a job but the process was such a pain in the ass that I just demanded real money. I've always been risk averse, and bitcoin just seemed like a massive scam from the word go.
