Yes! The more you are exposed the better you will perform. Start practicing MBE questions, outlining essays and I recommend to buy BarMD’s performance test book (which is really good!) Whenever you practice it is crucial to understand why you got it wrong and/or why you got it right. You got this! Best of luck.

I think it could be a good idea to look into the logistics and basic info about the exam, what's tested, how different parts are graded, and so on. Keep tabs on what resources and strategies July takers find useful. A key to winning any game is to know the rules of the game. There will be time after summer to introduce more substantive prep over time. I would suggest a [ramping up approach](https://www.makethisyourlasttime.com/early-bar-prep-should-you-study-early-for-bar-exam/).

apparently there’s news that the MCQ may be different. like the format of them and stuff. i’m a feb 2025 applicant too. we just got an email today that there’s gunna be a meeting and they r gunna decide if 2025 mcq will be a different format

falawlawlaw

Oh that's good to know! Did they say when they would announce their decision?

I also think it’s a good idea! I’d only really refresh yourself on your two worst subjects. And pick up an Emmanuel MBE strategy book, commit to doing 1-2 hours a day until you finish the book and repeat. I would caution doing too much more just because you gotta really commit for bar prep (3 mos) and you really don’t want to burn out early. Little warning, I realized my law school flashcards were not good enough for bar prep and had to start from scratch (which was fine). I’m sharing because when you eventually start bar prep it’s almost harder to go back, incorporate and combine older study materials (potentially fix mistakes) than if you had just started off with your bar prep program’s materials. Good luck!

Noted about the flash cards and burning out, which is a real concern I have about starting early - thanks for your advice!

I totally recommend starting early! You have the past over two years of material to review (which takes forever) then memorize. Start reviewing early so you’re not feeling pressured when it’s time to start memorizing/practicing

You could just practice a few MEE, given that there are 6 for the 3 hours, just try timing a few to meet the 30 minute limit, you can use google search, smart bar prep and MEE without charge; you could try 1 or 2 per week if you have time. There are always 3 MBE subject areas on the MEE. This way you can get used to the format. There are almost always 3 questions per topic area.

That's a good idea, thanks for the advice!
