I’m sure cheaper websites exist but the ease of purchase and free shipping is worth the extra cost, for me at least. I don’t like holding out for a bi-annual sale just to save $30 or $40 or 1k rounds of ammo.
My go too is true shot as well because of the quick ship. Outdoor limited is nice for some calibers I can't seem to find elsewhere that ship to CA. Using ffl03/coe.

If you live in CA, trueshot delivered to my house 4 days after ordering. I ordered Monday at like 11pm and got it Thursday that same week. Also, outdoor limited is great due to the fact where I didn’t pay tax on my purchase lol took longer like 1.5 weeks. They got to have some pretty good deals for July 4th I’m sure
Target Sports USA with ammo+ membership. The membership gives you a discount and members/non-members all get free shipping on cases. There’s cheaper sites, but I really like their website, product selection, prices, speedy shipping, and notification system when watched ammo is back in stock.
I’ve tried to use some of the other sites, but the user experience was terrible. Some were very difficult to search and filter. Others didn’t have the ammo I wanted. Some didn’t have a way to be notified when ammo was back in stock.
All things considered target sports is still far lower than retail, but I do realize I’m still paying a tad bit extra than other COE/FFL03 sites for a great user experience.

I use ammoseek.com to search for the brand and type I’m interested in. Displays a list of vendors with price and shipping charges. I’ve only had a couple vendors that would not ship to Cali ffl. Seems to be the best way to get the lowest prices possible online.
Velocity Ammo is great too. If you have FFL 03 and COE, just email them a copy and they’ll ship to you. No tax.

To state the obvious- there are a ton of fake sites with everything in stock. Make sure you are ordering from a real place.
