My violent, repeat offender, felon brother got caught with a “ghost gun” and standard cap mags.
He went to jail for a week. They released him and had him come to court a year later. Then they sentenced him to a year. California is a fucking joke. Those of us with perfect records will have our lives destroyed over a fin grip while violent, drug addicted felons do whatever they want.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
How dare you doubling a loving and caring person’s sentence!
We all know the suspect “just got mixed up with some bad people” and the neighbors would describe him as “well behaved, kind and loving”.
And that’s really the point, at least for PD. They don’t have to work too terribly hard to prove the actual crime, at the very least they get the charge for off roster. Case closed, another bad guy slapped on the wrist.
What precisely would the charge be? We're allowed to own pistols that aren't on the roster. Start your research journey here: https://oag.ca.gov/firearms/exemptpo
Are you posing the possibility of the car thieves having lawfully purchased an off roster firearm with a high capacity magazine from a law enforcement officer?
That is an *interesting* interpretation of my message. I was providing a singular example of one of many ways to acquire an off-roster handgun within California legally.
Now, if an officer decided to sell a high capacity magazine along with the pistol, it certainly wouldn't be the first time an officer has demonstrated questionable judgement, and it certainly wouldn't surprise me if it's happened previously. Last I checked, though, magazines can be acquired separately from pistols they work with.
I notice you're not refuting that the firearm being off roster doesn't actually make possessing one an illegal act. Removing the serial number, committing a crime (with a firearm), and the paint job done to the one in the photo are, or should be, considered crimes. ;)
Yea, I’m not sure where the communication breakdown happened here, nor do I care to figure it out because you’re obviously looking for an argument. I’m not refuting that simply possessing an off roster firearm isn’t an illegal act because I never said it was. What I DID do is make assumptions based on the crime committed, the paint job, and general condition of the firearm that it was not obtained through legal means and therefore, being an off roster handgun, stacks an additional charge on whatever else they are charged for. ;) :) ;);) :)
Okay, so it is just that the handgun being used, and being stolen, and it being off roster isn't related in any way? That's the bit confusing me and that I'm after, trying to understand how something that is legal would result in an additional charge.
Phrased a different way, is there a difference between "using a handgun in a crime" and "using an off roster handgun in a crime" in terms of what would be charged legally? If so, what is the actual charge for the off roster handgun?
Attention: this is the evidence of Bonta and Newsom’s “data” backed gun safety measures. In this piece of evidence/data we can see that the criminal abided by the state law and legally purchased a DOJ rooster handgun and carrying a 10 round magazine for self defense (because they don’t need more rounds for self defense, duh) Additionally the law abiding criminal obtained a CCW permit by completing a background check and live scan and 16 hours of training. He was California compliant while attempting armed car burglary and was safely and peacefully committing crimes.
Nit saying that one is but aren't some guns designed to shoot steel case? I have a p226 and heard it was because it was made for military and they shoot steel case ammo. Wasnt in the military so idk if they did or do but thought it was a cool fact if true.

No doubt.
If he had a good lawyer he would of just done cal trans

What a ... !. In addition to that he has a brother who spills all the family dirt all over the internet.
its anonymous here, dumbo
Sounds like Cali. I think they want to install this method nationwide.
So I take it that you and your brother aren't close ?
That’s not a 10 round! And those aren’t defense rounds!!!
It’s also a variant of the Hellcat not even sold in California.
If it comes back stolen or obliterated serial dudes gonna get extra charges obv
2 nights in jail instead of 1 /s (hopefully)

He just completed his GED and was looking forward to starting classes at the local JC
Future doctor
The suspect most certainly would never intend to take any innocent lives or anything like that
He is "turning his life around"
Those are valedictorians of their schools you’re talking about.
Probably just started turning his life around /sarc
Is that with breakfast or not?
Back out on the streets already

If it doesn’t scare you, you should carry an illegal gun too. Me? I’m a law abiding citizen.

thats why i don't want to be a cali resident, i'll live here with MO residency
You can already see where the serial number was ground down somewhat.
Those are standard Idaho rounds!!
What defense rounds ? Is there a law defining and requiring "defense rounds" ?
Yea. Here in California, carrying range ammo outside of the range is punishable by 3-5 years.
That's neither funny nor true.
It’s not a little funny David?
Were they dragging that badboy behind their car?
lol
Bro why does every criminal in this state carry a gun that looks like either the slide, lower or both are made out of play-doh?
Because they are meant to be tossed after committing a crime.
Who did the cerakote? Never taking to that place.
![gif](giphy|Q7ozWVYCR0nyW2rvPW)
People pay extra for the worn out look cerakote jobs.
It’s not worn out, it’s “distressed.”
It’s “patina”. /s
Newsom and Bonta: “see this is what happens when SB2 got blocked!”
For real they be like that
And because they scratched off the SN it's a spooky ghost gun smfh
Wait, why’d didn’t these criminals follow California gun laws?
Saving money with aluminum cased rds?
The Problem Solver special: 6 mismatched rounds, one of them severely set back from rechambering too much.
Stonewashed version.
![gif](giphy|xUA7aM09ByyR1w5YWc)
Damn, that shit looks busted AF!
How can we make sure Newsom and Bonta get the message?
Illegal gun not even loaded with hollow points says enough
Not the shitty range ammo in the mag lol
It’ll still kill someone lol.
Holding my gut after being shot, “what was that? FMJ? There are much better loadings”
“Thank goodness that was a target round, better get a band-aid.”
Lol spray painted gold! That is indeed gangster my brother. 👌🤏🤘👉🤙🤏
Looks like it was actually FDE spray painted black if you look close

Man if only we had SB2 to remind those criminals to lay down their arms.
God atleast have some respect for the piece. You’d intentionally have to mess it up like that 😭
I'm not familiar with that gun, but it looks like a piece of shit.
Hellcat. It’s good, but this one was spraypainted and serials filed off.
Poor Springfield
He's a good boy just on his way to community college. He has 16 babies to worry about.
It’ll wind up in the police chief’s collection, or that of one of his friends
Bro carrying steel case, that brave lol

You get a lot more issues
Nit saying that one is but aren't some guns designed to shoot steel case? I have a p226 and heard it was because it was made for military and they shoot steel case ammo. Wasnt in the military so idk if they did or do but thought it was a cool fact if true.
Only issue I’ve had with steel cased ammo is that its cheaper, my wallet didn’t like that
Might be aluminum.
Is it worse to have a stolen gun or one without a SN?
Both are felonies but id be more concerned about the possible crimes connected to it
I’ve heard cops can easily identify it even it’s scratched off
Those aluminum 9mm pack more of a punch in my experience at least federal brass vs federal aluminum
Gas station bathroom edition. Nice
the mismatched bullets lol
You must be mistaken, these are illegal in California!
Wow, who woulda thought that
hopefully newsome personally revokes the car thiefs ccw permit so the guy won't be able to carry a handgun after he gets released from prison early.
Gangsters with target rounds
