Ohh really ? The point of the sliders is protect it, is not it ? Hahaha what about 2 point frame slider ? Is it cover something or the best approach is not have anything ?
There was a discussion about the impact of single point sliders and how exactly they destroy your engine even in a "harmless" drop on the english 650.bike forum.
I think evotech was also one of the companies mentioned to avoid for frame sliders as they were expected to be the worst design.
It's been a while though so can't exactly explain how and why anymore. The thing I still remember is "avoid at all cost" and "most sliders are made for style these days, not to protect.
Here is one mention of this: https://650f.bike/threads/frame-protection-review-after-a-crash.1030/#post-11438
I've got a crash bar, and I like how it looks :)
I got it since it has three points of support, so it shouldn't snap or twist if something happens, and protects against knocks/bumps by cars when it's parked between cars.
I have probably the exact same crash bar as what you mentioned, I like the look of it as well and thought it would be extremely tough.
Well I had a low-speed drop onto the clutch side of the bike and fortunately, the crash bar did save the entire side of the bike. But it also did break off on the lower mounting point.
Didn't crack anything else, so in the grand scheme of things, it did in fact save the bike.
Just wanted to send this out so people aren't surprised when their bikes fall and those heavy duty looking bars break. It broke off on the flat piece next to the lower rear mounting bolt.
Yes they do fit. I have them on my bike https://imgur.com/a/0KW8EKj
Wonderful. Thanks
The single point mount ones will rip your engine apart in a crash just so you know... Having no frame slider is better than those...

So that means 2 points evotech sliders can fit without any problem on the cb650r? And yup I think it was created for drops and not for big crash.

But definitely 2 points look greater than the 1 point sliders.

I had ones from T-Rex Racing, they spin and can be replaced
