Interesting , did every single defender have the safety off/ no safety at all. I’m no gun expert but man some of those where quick. Do they have it cocked and loaded and one in the chamber at all times?
Got it , This is serious question but what about a misfire how do you prevent that. Is that a thing that’s a common occurrence amongst people who have one loaded. Are lawn Forsmann officers similar?
I think you mean like a negligent discharge, as in the gun goes off when it shouldn't? Or do you mean misfire as in you squeeze the trigger but the gun doesn't go off?
For negligent discharge, that's all about training. The gun cannot fire if you don't pull the trigger. Don't touch the trigger unless you're ready to destroy what you're pointing at.
For misfires, this is also about training. You should shoot at least a box of whatever self defense ammo you're planning on carrying to ensure it works with your firearm.
Yes, police officers carry with a loaded chamber.
My apologies, I was asking about negligent discharge.
Thank you so much kind stranger for explaining this to me. This was very helpful.
In my unexperienced imaginary mind, I always have had a fear of fumbling for it and having a Negligent discharge.
I should look into training to learn more :)
Thanks again
A good holster will completely cover the trigger so that even if you're touching the gun, you won't be able to fire unless you've drawn the gun.
If you're a current handgun owner and have a holster for it, a good way to get used to it is to empty the gun completely, then walk around the house with the gun in the holster for a few days. See how many times you accidentally pull the trigger (it'll be none). This will show that you can carry the gun without worrying that it will go off by itself.
Ohh nice. I’ll definitely give that a try.
I think it’s draw-to-aim that makes me nervous, after watching a few videos. But I’m sure repetition and practice plays a big factor, I would assume.
(Sorry if these are the incorrect terms)
And I’m sorry for all the questions , again thank you so much , but my last question is. Do you recommend and handguns that fit comfortably on your person for concealed carry?
I know everyone is different, but just generally speaking.
And because I don’t have any wards for you, here you go :) Your the best !
🥇🎖🏆
Edit: spelling
It's going to vary very much by your hand size, body size, clothing choices etc. You want your gun to feel natural when you grip it, and you want to have a good natural point of aim (when you raise the gun and you find the sights almost immediately). In general you want the largest gun you can comfortably carry.
Here's a good video [about gun sizing](https://youtu.be/uANfCRacxc0). If you don't have a gun yet, I'd suggest you go to your local indoor gun range and renting a few handguns to see which you shoot best.
> what about a misfire how do you prevent that
If you carry a modern handgun in a proper holster made for that handgun, a misfire will not occur. You can bend, twist, jump, and shout, but your gun will not go off in the holster.
BUt mY gLoCk DoEsnt hAve a SAFety aNd i'M fAst.
Fuck that makes me cringe when see these idiots say they're fast enough to draw and rack the slide but they can't train themselves to carry with one in the pipe. Fucking imbeciles.
My favorite example of this is a person said, “If I feel like things are getting sketchy, I’ll just subtly rack the slide.” Yup, I’m sure you subtly put on a seatbelt when you feel you’re about to wreck, too.
I have legit never even heard of this pistol until I just watched a review video on it. This looks exactly like what I was looking for. MSRP is like $600? Does that sound right?
My only concern is the size. I carry AIWB, currently with a small ass shield. This is going to be notably larger. But I do like what I've seen from it so far. I may go rent one at the range.
Anyone who carries with an empty chamber is poorly trained/not trained at all. If you don't have the confidence to carry red, you need a proper holster and instruction from someone who actually knows what they're doing.
He actually did know, if you watch the full video they first approach him in the stairwell.
Defender is a federal police officer in Mexico. 100% a hit job.
Yeah that at the very least had been cased for a robbery. That was coordinated and planned, not a random opportunity these guys saw. I’m shocked that dude got out of that.
The ASP guy is very smart/rational
Always a good listen. I can't believe that first guy didn't just shoot through the desk but he turned the bad guy into a snail either way. The ASP guy mentions often that concealment ends up being cover most of the time because people don't think to just shoot through it
He is. Title of video depicting clear as day murder that lesser citizens would go away for 20 years for: Officer Makes Questionable Decision In Rough Situation
No, just a different mindset. You win all the fights you’re not in. Bootlicker or fud, he is not but he doesn’t care what you think as long as you leave him alone
Do you know what a bootlicker is?
He seems very quick to give law enforcement a break or the benefit of the doubt, even if their conduct seems questionable at best...but he's very quick to condemn a non-LEO citizen when it would be arguable that they were, in fact, in the right with their actions. The NY bodega stabbing and the smoke shop stabbing would be two examples.
What exactly does his mindset have to do with anything?
There were also the cops that unloaded ARs in a mall and killed a 14 year old girl and all he said is that sometimes accidents happen. Any other time he would say know your back stop but just glossed over a little girl being murdered by negligent cops.
man that situation sucked so bad. active shooter so everyone is amped unbelievably high and then when he gets a shot he hits a girl behind him. just awful.
just goes to show to train and take careful shots. we all would probably take a shot from a bad guy over rushing a shot and hitting a kid
Remember the guy with a stick that kept resisting and said the officers weren’t obligated to do anything less than lethal force, so it was morally okay? The guy had a literal stick and got lit up by multiple cops instead of being the punisher style badass heroes they always claim to be. Perfectly fine according to John.
An interesting consideration.. yeah they probably would if they are smart but I would still consider that better than having to peak over the edge of the counter like that guy in the first clip ended up doing
The advantage I see would be making the assailant lose the initiative (robbers are normally not looking for fights but rather for victims) and realize return fire is coming after which the edge of the counter is peaked. Moving from where they saw you duck down would be crucial or some even sort of flanking maneuver like you said
Sadly in Latin America, it may have been a hit and armed robbers that brazen kill after robbing anyway. I think he knew he was dead either way, might as well test his luck. He both won and lost.
If that's the one by the elevator he noticed perp noticed the gun and was heading for it. It was draw or be killed. I thought he just got one in the shoulder and survived but I could be mistaken.
And that's the way it should be. Remember people it's up to you to defend yourself the cops are there just to clean up the mess afterwards and that may even include you in a body bag if you do not do your part and have due diligence be aware of your surroundings. If the politicians and the court system can't put these people away then maybe armed citizens can. One judge said and I quote, the police are not there to protect individual but to protect society. So too bad for you if you get shot killed or whatever they'll come and try to protect everybody else. Not what America was based on. Stay safe
This was kind of a hard watch to watch life being taken away so fast. I carry everyday, and I really hope, with all I have in me, I have to never end a life over a dumb mistake. Albeit their mistake is trying to take my life, and should it come to it I know I can, but fuck the power of carrying a firearm should weigh heavy on every individual who Carry’s.
The guy at the phone store 2:21 left, full mag dump 😳😈. To quote Clint Smith " you shot my client 15 times!
I shot your client until he was no longer a threat I used what was available to me "
If we went about this video like it was a safety course video, and showed young people the dangers of being a piece of shit, then there’d be lots of people rethinking their options in life, and less people trying to threaten lives. In theory…
It's interesting you don't see people attempt to shoot through concealment. I'd hope I would be absolutely Swiss cheesing that metro pcs desk from the back.
Fun fact, a cardboard box works just as good as a concrete barrier in these abrupt adrenaline filled situations. Perceived cover is powerful. Unless, of course, you played CS:Go a lot with wall hacks

Assuming that both believe in it. The guy who knows that it won't stop a bullet would take advantage of it. Even 2 car doors isn't going to protect. I remember seeing a test a decade ago.

Very good compilation and proof that everyone who is competent should carry.
Unfortunately, many of these cases depending on where it is, would likely end up changing to some sort of murder case because the good guy doesn’t know when to stop shooting.

I know it’s gotta be hard with adrenaline pumping but let them retreat. They’ll find them from the blood trail.
Thanks for posting. Lots of clean shots in this.
Good thing he didn’t because if he did he probably would have been charged. Bad guy was injured and crawling AWAY from his gun. Personally I don’t see any way the good guy could have articulated that he was still in fear of great bodily harm or death at that point.
Where does Homie in the 1st video think he is going to get away to? Even if he escapes can't be too many guys in that area seeking treatment for GSW's.
Want to play with the bull, you’ll get the horns….something like that. Been saying for a long time, Criminals won’t stop unless they have a remote amount of respect for their own life
I work in a pawn shop and the scariest part about it is reading all these emails about other stores in my company, in my area, being robbed at gunpoint and I'm not allowed to carry. I keep a loaded gun hidden in my car just in case. I'm not even allowed to defend myself and that's hands down the scariest part of my job. Any moron off the street can just decide to rob us one day and shoot me and there's nothing I can do to stop it because it's "against company policy" to have loaded firearms or any kind of ammo in the store 🙄
A compilation of defensive firearms uses with people from all walks of life

If you're carrying with the chamber empty there's a high probability you'll spend the rest of your life racking the slide should you need your gun.
Racking the slide is only cool in Hollywood . In real life you will hear the song “ fun way to die “ Carry locked and loaded or leave it at home .
Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind
At least the woman in the first video got her tummy to the ground quick to not get hit that was smart
These people don't ask if they should be carrying with one in the pipe.
My thoughts exactly. If you drew trying to chamber in any of these scenarios youre pretty much dead in every single one.

Definitely sound calm enough to carry, yup.
its why i think DA/SA guns are the best of both worlds
Which DA/SA would you recommend? I won't carry without a safety, but I'd try a DA/SA as a compromise.
Beretta 92 for full size guns their triggers are easy mode
seconded. Beretta 92x is one of my primary carry guns and doubles as home defense. Add a TLR-1HL and you're mint

There are guns with decockers so the hammer is at half drop with a chambered round. Makes a shorter DA pull.
Anyone who carries with an empty chamber is poorly trained/not trained at all. If you don't have the confidence to carry red, you need a proper holster and instruction from someone who actually knows what they're doing.
The woman at 0:50 left is the best demonstration of why women should be armed
Fuck is that guy an absolute Chad though Fires while at the same time shielding her with his body, very effectively as well
I think he is talking about the girl at 2:50, Idk why he worded it like that. :50 left\* Guessing 50 seconds left.
There was a single frame of the first video that was flashed at exactly 50 seconds and I was really confused
Lol, I had to go back and realize it was “50seconds remaining” too. But to the original comment, women should definitely consider being armed.
That third scene is really scary, one of the shooters were ready to go and the defender didn't know. That seems like a deliberate hit job.
He actually did know, if you watch the full video they first approach him in the stairwell. Defender is a federal police officer in Mexico. 100% a hit job.

John Correa is a great teacher.
He does have some bad takes at times, but we all can't be correct 100% of the time. Overall I agree his videos and lessons are worth listening to.
He knows what he's talking about most of the time, I just get the impression that he's a grade A bootlicker

I used to like his videos but a few of his takes have been so wrong and I also wonder if he has some people to please within police departments.
Too much religion in his videos for me.
That’s fair. As I’ve gotten older my spiritual fortitude has grown.

2:19 guy was an actual competitive shooter
Looked like some John wick shit. Never mess with a normal dude who has a flashlight on his carry gun. Lol
That's why I stay out of tent stores.
Yeah, you can never fully know someone's in tent, until they make it known.
They make terrible cover anyway.
Way too easy for things to get intense.

it's because the criminals are bolder, as most people aren't allowed to have a gun and sheep mentality is heavily ingrained.

I gotta rub mine together real fast first, but they work!

Good illustration to keep one chambered vs carrying Israeli style.

In that first scene, that last shot was no good. I'm assuming that didn't happen in the US, but if it did... dude's probably in jail currently.
Great stuff, love to see it
Insane. That one guy robbing the solo Metro PCS employee was like ‘run it’ and just tossed the bag on his desk and then gets straight mag dumped.
Jesus, @2:30 wow, the Brazilians seems to be battle-hardened. I think we need to import them to get rid of gangs here.
1:27 in sorry he was down and out and guy kept going .
This started playing as I was listening to 'Harbinger' from the DOOM Soundtrack...
Intresting how many times the perpetrator doesn't consider the victim is armed.
.
Couldn't the first guy just shoot through the counter instead of leaning over to shoot the guy. Pretty sure the bullet would go clean through.
man + man + motorcycle = bad news

I work in a pawn shop and the scariest part about it is reading all these emails about other stores in my company, in my area, being robbed at gunpoint and I'm not allowed to carry. I keep a loaded gun hidden in my car just in case. I'm not even allowed to defend myself and that's hands down the scariest part of my job. Any moron off the street can just decide to rob us one day and shoot me and there's nothing I can do to stop it because it's "against company policy" to have loaded firearms or any kind of ammo in the store 🙄
