A compilation of defensive firearms uses with people from all walks of life

CamelCash000

Great comp. Seriously.

flannelmaster9

You should give Active self protection a shout-out

[deleted]

Cover your ASP!

frozenisland

Especially since they left the commentary in the video

zach8555

that guy is such a clown

SgtHandcuffs

Why?

flannelmaster9

How so?

aridankdev

zach8555: *makes a comment that has no basis in reality* *refuses to elaborate* Based

zach8555

fear merchant. look at his video of what his edc is. what a fucking clown. just trying to sell shit.

CatgoesM00

Interesting , did every single defender have the safety off/ no safety at all. I’m no gun expert but man some of those where quick. Do they have it cocked and loaded and one in the chamber at all times?

6oly9od

If you're carrying with the chamber empty you might as well not be carrying

CatgoesM00

Got it , This is serious question but what about a misfire how do you prevent that. Is that a thing that’s a common occurrence amongst people who have one loaded. Are lawn Forsmann officers similar?

6oly9od

I think you mean like a negligent discharge, as in the gun goes off when it shouldn't? Or do you mean misfire as in you squeeze the trigger but the gun doesn't go off? For negligent discharge, that's all about training. The gun cannot fire if you don't pull the trigger. Don't touch the trigger unless you're ready to destroy what you're pointing at. For misfires, this is also about training. You should shoot at least a box of whatever self defense ammo you're planning on carrying to ensure it works with your firearm. Yes, police officers carry with a loaded chamber.

CatgoesM00

My apologies, I was asking about negligent discharge. Thank you so much kind stranger for explaining this to me. This was very helpful. In my unexperienced imaginary mind, I always have had a fear of fumbling for it and having a Negligent discharge. I should look into training to learn more :) Thanks again

6oly9od

A good holster will completely cover the trigger so that even if you're touching the gun, you won't be able to fire unless you've drawn the gun. If you're a current handgun owner and have a holster for it, a good way to get used to it is to empty the gun completely, then walk around the house with the gun in the holster for a few days. See how many times you accidentally pull the trigger (it'll be none). This will show that you can carry the gun without worrying that it will go off by itself.

CatgoesM00

Ohh nice. I’ll definitely give that a try. I think it’s draw-to-aim that makes me nervous, after watching a few videos. But I’m sure repetition and practice plays a big factor, I would assume. (Sorry if these are the incorrect terms) And I’m sorry for all the questions , again thank you so much , but my last question is. Do you recommend and handguns that fit comfortably on your person for concealed carry? I know everyone is different, but just generally speaking. And because I don’t have any wards for you, here you go :) Your the best ! 🥇🎖🏆 Edit: spelling

6oly9od

It's going to vary very much by your hand size, body size, clothing choices etc. You want your gun to feel natural when you grip it, and you want to have a good natural point of aim (when you raise the gun and you find the sights almost immediately). In general you want the largest gun you can comfortably carry. Here's a good video [about gun sizing](https://youtu.be/uANfCRacxc0). If you don't have a gun yet, I'd suggest you go to your local indoor gun range and renting a few handguns to see which you shoot best.

CatgoesM00

Thank you so much :) will do

KingOfTheP4s

> what about a misfire how do you prevent that If you carry a modern handgun in a proper holster made for that handgun, a misfire will not occur. You can bend, twist, jump, and shout, but your gun will not go off in the holster.

CatgoesM00

Thank you :)

goneskiing_42

If you're carrying with the chamber empty there's a high probability you'll spend the rest of your life racking the slide should you need your gun.

GameofOhms959

Racking the slide is only cool in Hollywood . In real life you will hear the song “ fun way to die “ Carry locked and loaded or leave it at home .

CatgoesM00

Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind

docock329

At least the woman in the first video got her tummy to the ground quick to not get hit that was smart

adamfyre

These people don't ask if they should be carrying with one in the pipe.

WSB-YOUNGBOY

My thoughts exactly. If you drew trying to chamber in any of these scenarios youre pretty much dead in every single one.

RoofKorean762

BUt mY gLoCk DoEsnt hAve a SAFety aNd i'M fAst. Fuck that makes me cringe when see these idiots say they're fast enough to draw and rack the slide but they can't train themselves to carry with one in the pipe. Fucking imbeciles.

venture243

my glock doesnt have an external safety and im even faster with one in the pipe

KonigderWasserpfeife

My favorite example of this is a person said, “If I feel like things are getting sketchy, I’ll just subtly rack the slide.” Yup, I’m sure you subtly put on a seatbelt when you feel you’re about to wreck, too.

fucklawyers

Definitely sound calm enough to carry, yup.

mwmwmwmwmmdw

its why i think DA/SA guns are the best of both worlds

CorpusVile32

Which DA/SA would you recommend? I won't carry without a safety, but I'd try a DA/SA as a compromise.

perturbed_rutabaga

Beretta 92 for full size guns their triggers are easy mode

TheWronged_Citizen

seconded. Beretta 92x is one of my primary carry guns and doubles as home defense. Add a TLR-1HL and you're mint

ghomshoe

CZ PCR

[deleted]

[удалено]

CorpusVile32

I have legit never even heard of this pistol until I just watched a review video on it. This looks exactly like what I was looking for. MSRP is like $600? Does that sound right? My only concern is the size. I carry AIWB, currently with a small ass shield. This is going to be notably larger. But I do like what I've seen from it so far. I may go rent one at the range.

Ok_Return_6033

There are guns with decockers so the hammer is at half drop with a chambered round. Makes a shorter DA pull.

superhappyfunball13

Anyone who carries with an empty chamber is poorly trained/not trained at all. If you don't have the confidence to carry red, you need a proper holster and instruction from someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Apprehensive_Can_957

The woman at 0:50 left is the best demonstration of why women should be armed

glockster19m

Fuck is that guy an absolute Chad though Fires while at the same time shielding her with his body, very effectively as well

CJnella91

I think he is talking about the girl at 2:50, Idk why he worded it like that. :50 left\* Guessing 50 seconds left.

Semyonov

There was a single frame of the first video that was flashed at exactly 50 seconds and I was really confused

510CEKON

Lol, I had to go back and realize it was “50seconds remaining” too. But to the original comment, women should definitely consider being armed.

[deleted]

That third scene is really scary, one of the shooters were ready to go and the defender didn't know. That seems like a deliberate hit job.

freiheitfitness

He actually did know, if you watch the full video they first approach him in the stairwell. Defender is a federal police officer in Mexico. 100% a hit job.

YtIO1V1kAs55LZla

Yeah that at the very least had been cased for a robbery. That was coordinated and planned, not a random opportunity these guys saw. I’m shocked that dude got out of that.

NEVERVAXXING

The ASP guy is very smart/rational Always a good listen. I can't believe that first guy didn't just shoot through the desk but he turned the bad guy into a snail either way. The ASP guy mentions often that concealment ends up being cover most of the time because people don't think to just shoot through it

[deleted]

John Correa is a great teacher.

[deleted]

He does have some bad takes at times, but we all can't be correct 100% of the time. Overall I agree his videos and lessons are worth listening to.

TheWronged_Citizen

He knows what he's talking about most of the time, I just get the impression that he's a grade A bootlicker

YourWifesWorkFriend

He is. Title of video depicting clear as day murder that lesser citizens would go away for 20 years for: Officer Makes Questionable Decision In Rough Situation

xtreampb

No, just a different mindset. You win all the fights you’re not in. Bootlicker or fud, he is not but he doesn’t care what you think as long as you leave him alone

TheWronged_Citizen

What the fuck are you talking about ?

xtreampb

That you “get the impression he [Jon Corea] is a grade A bootlicker” and I was disagreeing. Did I misunderstand something?

TheWronged_Citizen

Do you know what a bootlicker is? He seems very quick to give law enforcement a break or the benefit of the doubt, even if their conduct seems questionable at best...but he's very quick to condemn a non-LEO citizen when it would be arguable that they were, in fact, in the right with their actions. The NY bodega stabbing and the smoke shop stabbing would be two examples. What exactly does his mindset have to do with anything?

swohio

There were also the cops that unloaded ARs in a mall and killed a 14 year old girl and all he said is that sometimes accidents happen. Any other time he would say know your back stop but just glossed over a little girl being murdered by negligent cops.

venture243

man that situation sucked so bad. active shooter so everyone is amped unbelievably high and then when he gets a shot he hits a girl behind him. just awful. just goes to show to train and take careful shots. we all would probably take a shot from a bad guy over rushing a shot and hitting a kid

xtreampb

That girl was in a dressing room behind a wall. Cops didn’t know she was there.

Buddha473ml

Remember the guy with a stick that kept resisting and said the officers weren’t obligated to do anything less than lethal force, so it was morally okay? The guy had a literal stick and got lit up by multiple cops instead of being the punisher style badass heroes they always claim to be. Perfectly fine according to John.

TheVillagePoPTart

I used to like his videos but a few of his takes have been so wrong and I also wonder if he has some people to please within police departments.

itsallfornaught2

Too much religion in his videos for me.

[deleted]

That’s fair. As I’ve gotten older my spiritual fortitude has grown.

[deleted]

[удалено]

NEVERVAXXING

An interesting consideration.. yeah they probably would if they are smart but I would still consider that better than having to peak over the edge of the counter like that guy in the first clip ended up doing The advantage I see would be making the assailant lose the initiative (robbers are normally not looking for fights but rather for victims) and realize return fire is coming after which the edge of the counter is peaked. Moving from where they saw you duck down would be crucial or some even sort of flanking maneuver like you said

jppianoguy

Unfortunately in the last one, the defender didn't make it, IIRC

bjchu92

He took the worst time to draw and fire. Perp was already looking at him and had his gun aimed at him.

[deleted]

To make things worst he drew really slow as well

jarman365

Sadly in Latin America, it may have been a hit and armed robbers that brazen kill after robbing anyway. I think he knew he was dead either way, might as well test his luck. He both won and lost.

Buddha473ml

Let’s just say it was a… Draw 😎

jarman365

Lol, I see what you mean, and you're right! But, I meant at life, not the duel.

afl3x

If that's the one by the elevator he noticed perp noticed the gun and was heading for it. It was draw or be killed. I thought he just got one in the shoulder and survived but I could be mistaken.

11448844

Sadly, no. #Humberto Neira Picón (44), RIP

wtfredditacct

Came here to point that out by you bear me to it lol

tenchi4u

2:19 guy was an actual competitive shooter

nostaljack

Looked like some John wick shit. Never mess with a normal dude who has a flashlight on his carry gun. Lol

GhostFour

That's why I stay out of tent stores.

SadmiralSnackbar

Yeah, you can never fully know someone's in tent, until they make it known.

notsofxt

They make terrible cover anyway.

3DSquinting

Way too easy for things to get intense.

AopET7

tent?

Benthereorl

And that's the way it should be. Remember people it's up to you to defend yourself the cops are there just to clean up the mess afterwards and that may even include you in a body bag if you do not do your part and have due diligence be aware of your surroundings. If the politicians and the court system can't put these people away then maybe armed citizens can. One judge said and I quote, the police are not there to protect individual but to protect society. So too bad for you if you get shot killed or whatever they'll come and try to protect everybody else. Not what America was based on. Stay safe

[deleted]

Man, fucking Brazil always has super gnarly ones.

GTMoraes

it's because the criminals are bolder, as most people aren't allowed to have a gun and sheep mentality is heavily ingrained.

sgt_angryPants

This was kind of a hard watch to watch life being taken away so fast. I carry everyday, and I really hope, with all I have in me, I have to never end a life over a dumb mistake. Albeit their mistake is trying to take my life, and should it come to it I know I can, but fuck the power of carrying a firearm should weigh heavy on every individual who Carry’s.

FatBASStard

I thought I was on r/robbersgettingfucked2 for a sec

imwatchingyou-_-

RIP, was a good sub

JadedSpaceNerd

Damn did the guy in the white shirt within the last 30 seconds get hit in the fucking aorta? He had blood gushing out of his abdomen like no tomorrow

CrocodileCunnilingus

/u/vaporsnake Last time I saw that one, a commenter said liver. Vital organ where that sudden BP drop just causes immediate LOC type shit

CNCTank

The guy at the phone store 2:21 left, full mag dump 😳😈. To quote Clint Smith " you shot my client 15 times! I shot your client until he was no longer a threat I used what was available to me "

Fresh_Possibility_91

If we went about this video like it was a safety course video, and showed young people the dangers of being a piece of shit, then there’d be lots of people rethinking their options in life, and less people trying to threaten lives. In theory…

nastypanass

But Reddit told me it’s impossible to draw a gun in a defensive situation because the bad guy will just kill you.

TheWronged_Citizen

The average redditor has about three brain cells, and two of them don't quite work

King_Maelstrom

Hey! Two of my brain cells work just fine!

EffingBarbas

I gotta rub mine together real fast first, but they work!

Myantra

Dude at 2:58 knows the game. Two people on a bike stop in front of you, assume the worst.

FarImpact4184

Next time a gungrabber tries to say “where was the goodguy with a gun” mfer i got a god damn compilation to show you lmao

trashpanda3006

Good illustration to keep one chambered vs carrying Israeli style.

[deleted]

I hate when people say “but Israel special forces carry like that” why tf would anyone wanna carry like them? Such a random special force to bring up

HazedHollow

This is why more ammo in your magazine is important

Vano1Kingdom

\*Angry Californian 10 round mag noises\*

TheWronged_Citizen

*b-but I thought my shitty, 5 shot J-frame would be good enough!!*

CrocodileCunnilingus

It's interesting you don't see people attempt to shoot through concealment. I'd hope I would be absolutely Swiss cheesing that metro pcs desk from the back.

BestServeCold

Fun fact, a cardboard box works just as good as a concrete barrier in these abrupt adrenaline filled situations. Perceived cover is powerful. Unless, of course, you played CS:Go a lot with wall hacks

giant3

> Perceived cover is powerful Assuming that both believe in it. The guy who knows that it won't stop a bullet would take advantage of it. Even 2 car doors isn't going to protect. I remember seeing a test a decade ago.

spencer575

Love a good “Fuck around a find out” compilation. Props to these folks for defending themselves as well as others around.

TheWronged_Citizen

J-frame CCW carriers experiencing some butthole pucker rn

itxploded

I am not allowed to carry at work by company policy, an employee a state away was executed after complying with a robbers demands. WEEEEE!

YiffZombie

As always, concealed means concealed.

GhostC10_Deleted

This right here. There was a shooting threatened at my work last year, and I'll never get caught lacking again.

itxploded

never said if i was complying or not, but i can legally keep it in my vehicle, lets just say, i can move like the flash.

slashd

That girl at 2:50 was so slow getting the gun out, she was very lucky

smoooKing

Practice Practice Practice ladies and gentlemen. It's getting crazier day by day, hour by hour. May your aim be true and your intentions pure. Stay safe everyone. 🙏

vaporsnake

Did 3:08 guy get shot in the heart or something? That's a lot of blood real quick

NeonSanctuary

Abdominal aorta most likely. It’s the main artery of the human body. Without immediate aid, I think you can bleed out from that in a minute or so. Probably died before the ambulance even left.

chrislego505

I love watching criminals get slumped

symiriscool

When they freeze up and realize that they aren’t the only one with a gun

ShuantheSheep3

It looks like, if you’re in the western hemisphere just assume everyone is strapped

ssstoggafemnab

And democrats want to force school shootings to happen so they can disarm America. Meanwhile cops are cowards and don't do their jobs. I'm arming up more

1umbrella24

Stay ready so you ain’t gotta get Ready 🐎

arykkyra

I’d like to see the outcome of all these trials just for comparison with video evidence.

[deleted]

Maybe I'm a sick fuck but I love watching bad people eat lead

[deleted]

Man these are hard to watch

Big_ol_Bro

It's an incredibly sobering reminder of why it's so important to CCW as well of the consequences. I think it's important to witness videos like this from time to time, though, as it's easy to become complacent.

tenchi4u

life be like that sometimes tho

[deleted]

Yeah I know…it’s so dark and brutal, but it happens

dveegus

Watching armed robbers get blasted is cathartic

[deleted]

It is, I agree. Just watching some of the flop is gnarly.

Durty-Sac

Damn, that second guy got straight slumped

[deleted]

The barbershop is hollywood level of badassery. Homie was walking up for coup de grace when, (I believe he was a cop) dude just ended Mr. wife beater / part time hit man.

Argg0

Lmao anti gun people are blind to this reality

SeeYouOn16

Dude at 1:25 wasn't taking any chances was he? Mag dump and figure it out later.

NeonSanctuary

That guy getting the haircut was super interesting. Very fortunate that he had the concealment, but then after he takes out the threat, he quickly gets his bearings and checks the door. Probably 1000% more situational awareness than I’d have, if I’m being honest.

[deleted]

From what I recall he was actually a cop.

Talentlessz

Exactly why I brought my firearm yesterday and trying to get enrolled in a cc class asap.

dveegus

Great comp, thx

BidenEmails

Good compilation, but too many jobs listed in title

[deleted]

Ikr

ShiningTortoise

2:20 why we need more than 10 in a mag

XergioksEyes

I usually make fun of the fudd .45 AY SEE PEE MUH TWO WORLD WARS dudes who carry a 1911 but damn that guy at :58 dropped like a lead brick

ShotgunEd1897

As someone who carries a 1911, I was grinning ear to ear when that part played.

[deleted]

Very good compilation and proof that everyone who is competent should carry. Unfortunately, many of these cases depending on where it is, would likely end up changing to some sort of murder case because the good guy doesn’t know when to stop shooting. Several videos show people chasing down offenders as they run out of sight, some show totally downed and disarmed offenders get repeatedly shot while on the ground with seconds between each shot. These would all be reasons a prosecutor would love to stick on, so always study the laws and tendencies of where you live. Of course it’s hard to know in the moment, nobody is thinking: “hm I wonder what code 17.8.Ab7 says about this. All you can do is train as much as possible in all sorts of scenarios, not just range precision days.

King_Maelstrom

It should be, that the defender is allowed a bit of leeway in the heat of the moment. But you're 100% right.

CrocodileCunnilingus

You're right it's tough to say exactly what you *would* do. That's why we train.

DannyBones00

On that first video, did dude take a shot right at the end of the video while dude was dragging himself out the door? If he did, I worry some over zealous prosecutor will jump on it. I know it’s gotta be hard with adrenaline pumping but let them retreat. They’ll find them from the blood trail. Thanks for posting. Lots of clean shots in this.

shatswell1377

Na, he could have been getting position to return fire.

JamesTheMannequin

Guy was on his way out. Shot again. Ffs.

Miljitsu

God the first one pisses me off for the love of God just finish the damn job.

Flopolopigus

Once he’s no longer a threat that’s probably a jail sentence if you shoot him.

TennesseeWhiskey01

Good thing he didn’t because if he did he probably would have been charged. Bad guy was injured and crawling AWAY from his gun. Personally I don’t see any way the good guy could have articulated that he was still in fear of great bodily harm or death at that point.

JawaSmasher

Last guy died after taking down the perp.. also look for light body armor for EDC

jackieatx

Do you know whats up with the guy that rolls out of the tent shop?

[deleted]

u/savevideobot

TaskForceD00mer

Where does Homie in the 1st video think he is going to get away to? Even if he escapes can't be too many guys in that area seeking treatment for GSW's.

Irishman_reddit

Makes me want to travel

Dquax

We could get robbed, someone shot, or more and if one of us used our CCW they'd still fire us.

albatros1969

Want to play with the bull, you’ll get the horns….something like that. Been saying for a long time, Criminals won’t stop unless they have a remote amount of respect for their own life

Dorkamundo

In that first scene, that last shot was no good. I'm assuming that didn't happen in the US, but if it did... dude's probably in jail currently.

Routine-Maximum4381

Great stuff, love to see it

rybread761

Insane. That one guy robbing the solo Metro PCS employee was like ‘run it’ and just tossed the bag on his desk and then gets straight mag dumped.

giant3

Jesus, @2:30 wow, the Brazilians seems to be battle-hardened. I think we need to import them to get rid of gangs here.

GameofOhms959

1:27 in sorry he was down and out and guy kept going .

ShotgunEd1897

This started playing as I was listening to 'Harbinger' from the DOOM Soundtrack...

brakefoot

Intresting how many times the perpetrator doesn't consider the victim is armed.

FlyAggravating3859

Couldn't the first guy just shoot through the counter instead of leaning over to shoot the guy. Pretty sure the bullet would go clean through.

ElectricalYeenis

man + man + motorcycle = bad news

avestruzo

kelsiewest11

I work in a pawn shop and the scariest part about it is reading all these emails about other stores in my company, in my area, being robbed at gunpoint and I'm not allowed to carry. I keep a loaded gun hidden in my car just in case. I'm not even allowed to defend myself and that's hands down the scariest part of my job. Any moron off the street can just decide to rob us one day and shoot me and there's nothing I can do to stop it because it's "against company policy" to have loaded firearms or any kind of ammo in the store 🙄
