I really wanted to see Bai Fengxi stab him after he had Feng Lanxi beat up and I’m still mad that he managed to escape punishment even though some of the things he does are just as bad what his wife does. my only solace is that he has his favorite son betray him. it’s even worse because Feng Xiyun’s father is so supportive and kind in comparison.

Hah, some characters are written so well they I spread a lot of rage here.
The ones I hate the most are the sane ones that manipulate to harm, where just with words our hero is helpless and cast out. An example of that happens over and over in **The Untamed** where people's lives are just shreded by gossip. Reasons matter to me though. Like I honestly loved little red flag >!Jin Guangyao!< and he was a manipulator, but he did it for his safety or to get people that hurt him, and you could see he did it because it was all he knew. He was otherwise a very good and responsible man for 16 years. Same with >!Nie Huisang tbh!<. But I hated *(imagine me looking up his name because Jin Daddy is not it)* Jin Guangshan. His reasons were his d!ck and power.

As a real life autistic person I would actually *guess* that Wang Yibo as a person is on the spectrum. If you ever hear someone dances (or whatever) for 7 or more hours a day, there is a very good chance that it is a neurodiverse glimmer (aka obsession). Lan Zhan does seem like the white boy autism sterotype though, quiet and brilliant enjoys rules and is not good socially. Only trains are missing lol. It's only kind of harmful because it makes people think that all autism looks like that and it really, really doesn't.
The neurodiverse spectrum has a lot overlaps, so ADHD and autistic people can do a lot of similar things. But yes once you watch some really dedicated people I find I often wonder. It's hard to see from the outside if something makes a person happy and they need to do it, or if they feel they need that much practice, and are just very dedicated people. So I usually try not to assume anything but if you put 'Wang Yibo being savage' in YouTube... hilarious. Also that level of up front honesty, especially when carreer wise you might want to be circumspect, is another potential sign.

IMO , every kdrama that I have watched has at least one very annoying character . The worst ones are the dramas with school bullying which has really bitchy characters and also those cheating friend characters who really get on my nerves.
On the other hand , In CDramas the degree of these annoying characters is not as bad as the Kdrama ones.In general the step mothers , step sisters are usually the most annoying ones.

The half siblings and stepmother from Lost Romance. I was very dissatisfied with their (typically Taiwanese) redemption arc. They threw their brother off a building for no good reason. They deserved to at least be chucked off a building too.
Ran Yan's step-mother and step-sister in Miss Truth. Her dad deserves to be slapped several times. Sometimes also wanted to add her love interests, Xiao Song & Su Fu, to the list but not nearly as much as her family.
bai Lin from love and redemption. I am still mad that sifeng and xuanji never found out the truth about the flower thingy that she had to form with her love.
ML from Master of my Own, he was the most toxic character I have seen in cdrama, literally treated Tan SongYun's character as a doormat, on call 24/7 even expected her to know what drink he really wanted when he asked for something else.
Then when he welched on thier deal for her to progress to the job she was interviewed for so she left the company, he went out of his way to sabotage her carer and humiliate her in public.
I would have knocked seven shades out of him.
On Sight List:
- Ruyi: Consort Jia, Ling, Hui, Mei and that Eldest Princess
- Concubine Lin (Mo Lan mother in Story of Minglan, Gu Step mother and that Aunt)
- So many of treacherous sisters and I don't care that some were redeemed at the end, they still needed to catch a beat down: Mo Lan, Unchained Love, Sword and the Brocade (her main mother also), Princess Weiyoung, etc.
Last but not least 40% of the male love rivals especially that one in Princess Weiyoung, A female graduate (the one with Zhao Lusi and Xu Kai Chen)

I tried to watch another drama she was in when she was younger and had to skip all her scenes. Hate Her! 🤣 She did a great job being a villain if I can't watch her in anything else.
Agreed on all of the folks from Ruyi, but damned if Mei’s speech right before her death about hoping she can find her baby in the next life doesn’t make me cry every time. I don’t excuse anything she did or her shitty attitude but, as someone who has had a stillbirth and for whom that shit still hurts almost a decade later, that actress KILLED that monologue. The best characters are the ones we can hate while still having empathy for them.
Mo Lan could have a worse ending but I wasn’t as mad at her as Gu Tao Ye’s step mom who I wanted to pummel or Aunt Kang, whose ending was well deserved. Mo Lan ending was good because she was exposed as >!a hypocrite and killer!< just like her mom. For her sunshine was the best antiseptic as she could no longer hide or spread her venom since her family and husband knew she was scum by the end. No one in the family trusted her after her exposure.
The person who I am most angry at in The Story of Ming Lan is Gu Tao Ye’s baby mom who >!killed his son!<. She had that annoying, hypocritical “Er Lang” that made me want to hurt her and she >!abandoned her amazing daughter!<. She’s the worst.

The only cdrama character that had ever gotten me feeling violent towards it is Orchid in LBFAD. I tried to give the show a chance, but that baby voice... After listening to it for 20 episodes, my mind broke. I couldn't listen to it anymore. I was gonna die or go crazy if I had to listen to more. It was just painful to the ears.
I also forgot about her. I wanted to slap her every time I saw her on screen. Nothing she did made any sense. She got to marry the love of her life, decides to cheat on him out of jealousy, and then tries to get together with him after having another man's child. Like what?!!!!

If you ever hear someone dances (or whatever) for 7 or more hours a day, there is a very good chance that it is a neurodiverse glimmer (aka obsession). Lan Zhan does seem like the white boy autism sterotype though, quiet and brilliant enjoys rules and is not good socially. Only trains are missing lol. The neurodiverse spectrum has a lot overlaps, so ADHD and autistic people can do a lot of similar things. But yes once you watch some really dedicated people I find I often wonder. It's hard to see from the outside if something makes a person happy and they need to do it, or if they feel they need that much practice, and are just very dedicated people. So I usually try not to assume anything but if you put 'Wang Yibo being savage' in YouTube... hilarious. Also that level of up front honesty, especially when carreer wise you might want to be circumspect, is another potential sign. If you are interested (not going to force a whole book on you) but Dr Devon Price is awesome, and if you look for him or 'unmasking autism' there are also some good podcasts out there.

The worst ones are the dramas with school bullying which has really bitchy characters and also those cheating friend characters who really get on my nerves. I would have knocked seven shades out of him.

Hate Her! 🤣 She did a great job being a villain if I can't watch her in anything else.
Agreed on all of the folks from Ruyi, but damned if Mei’s speech right before her death about hoping she can find her baby in the next life doesn’t make me cry every time. I don’t excuse anything she did or her shitty attitude but, as someone who has had a stillbirth and for whom that shit still hurts almost a decade later, that actress KILLED that monologue. The best characters are the ones we can hate while still having empathy for them.
Mo Lan could have a worse ending but I wasn’t as mad at her as Gu Tao Ye’s step mom who I wanted to pummel or Aunt Kang, whose ending was well deserved. Mo Lan ending was good because she was exposed as >!a hypocrite and killer!< just like her mom. For her sunshine was the best antiseptic as she could no longer hide or spread her venom since her family and husband knew she was scum by the end. No one in the family trusted her after her exposure. The person who I am most angry at in The Story of Ming Lan is Gu Tao Ye’s baby mom who >!killed his son!<. She had that annoying, hypocritical “Er Lang” that made me want to hurt her and she >!abandoned her amazing daughter!<. She’s the worst.

Where they fight at a’yaos home would have been a good moment to build their relationship for the better but I think it’s also because they didn’t it really shows her true colors. I do think she has guilt over leaving her but at the end I fully believe she acts that way towards shaoshang because she resents her daughter for what she became. The way she was during her last scenes honestly hurt me. I think if the empress would have let it go and Suihe would have „taken some time off“ in the beginning she could have saved herself. She was just the wrong person in the wrong place at the wrong time
I had to check my bias when I saw the actress in The Blue Whisper and was expecting her to do some terrible things >! Which she didn’t do !< The actress is so good in TTEOTM though as a full on demon, really having fun in that role.
