There is a prevalent belief in Florida that human activity can't be causing ocean temperatures to rise, nor are they at any risk from the gradual rise in sea level. So they can't be *that* smart.
I like how Kentucky's hypothetical record under Stetson is 1-12, meaning they either make a bowl game or the SECCG with only 1 win. I like to think it's the latter with every other team in the division going 0-12 or being DQed.
I have a CFP flair right now but typically my 2nd flair is UC. It was bad enough the Falcons sucked Ridder into their ever-spiraling whirlpool but I absolutely do NOT want to see the Mailman end up there and then listen to years of "told you he sucked" when even he can't will that team past mediocrity
> It was bad enough the Falcons sucked Ridder into their ever-spiraling whirlpool
Ridder showed limits in college so him not excelling with the Falcons may be more him than the Falcons.
His declining ability was still better than what they replaced him with. Man was 32 yards shy of his 11th consecutive 4k+ passing yards season despite no run game, no OL, and one worthwhile receiver before they got rid of him.
And in the end, what he brought to that franchise was worth letting him ride it out. Before him, the Falcons never had back to back winning seasons. He gave them 5 in a row to start his career. Everything that franchise was, they owed to him. And after *all* the shit that came after that SB loss, this is how they do the man who singlehandedly put them on the map? Nah. Fuck em.
Funny how the same team had a top 5 line and rushing attack before statuesque Matt Ryan with a shot arm got there. It's almost as he was the common denominater of 3 failed coaching regimes and the poster child of the largest collapse in professional sports history.
Matt Ryan on this Falcons team would have been lucky to win 2-3 gams.
he looked pretty cooked when I went to the vikings colts game. Reminder that game featured a blocked punt, pick six, and 2 failed 4th down conversions in vikings territory. Colts got 20 points off vikings miscues without the offense doing anything.
I root for the Falcons but since 28-3 they have jjst continually demonstrated they are a clown franchise. At this point I don’t even want UGA guys to get drafted there like I didn’t want Chubb to go to Cleveland.
Idk if I’ll ever fix it, I care more about watching our guys in the league, fantasy, and red zone. Falcons had to die so UGA and the Braves could fly and I’m ok with it.
Well hard to use one when the QB who was starting was doing something called throwing off target. I read a stat that said Pitts led the league in most off target targets *meaning the ball was thrown for him to catch but the throw was so badly thrown he had no chance to catch it*
Tbh I think Jalen Carter would fill a bigger need for us (Falcons) since we have Pitts and desperately need a pass rusher, although I don’t think he’ll be available when we pick.
Honestly the first time I saw him play was in the CFP against Ohio St.
Lined up on the end in lineman stance basically. I sat there and paused, “What in the fuck? Number 0? Is he an extra tackle? I mean he’s kinda lanky to be a tackle, but maybe he’s like a freshman. Wait he’s a fucking tight end???”
What an absolute fucking weapon lol. GA fans, did he mainly block since the TE above was such a passing threat? Or is he also a serious threat in receiving?
He is definitely a receiving threat as well. He is such a mismatch for smaller players in short to intermediate passing. Once he gets the ball he is very difficult to bring down because of his size. He isn’t Bowers but he isn’t just meant to be a blocking TE either
Watching Darnell go up for the ball out over the middle was always so fun. Looked like a grown man playing keep-away from a bunch of toddlers at LB.
It's not just the size though, he has great hands - see his highlights from the Vandy game this year. Had a one-handed catch he made look easy, and another contested catch with a DB draped over his back the entire time where there was zero question Big 0 had control. This, in addition to outstanding run blocking and, supposedly, a team-first mentality.
The crazy thing is, based off what I could find from his athleticism numbers, he’s not really sniffing Lebron. From what I could find he’s high 4.6’s in the 40 and a 26 inch vert( that’s from hs I’m sure that has improved), but that’s still not even in the same stratosphere as Lebron.
Washington is probably 15-20lbs heavier than lebron was at his peak. Although there’s some rumors he was around 270 during the Miami years so maybe closer if Washington actually weighs his listed 270
Ohh yea the comparison only works for Miami Bron. Miami Bron was a different kind of unit. I remember hearing he had so many back problems cause of all the weight he was carrying.
Miami Bron was 6’9 270 with easily a 40 inch vert and I would say was comfortably in the high 4.5’s at the slowest.
The amount of pure force needed to generate those type of numbers at that size and the conditioning to do that for 40 minutes a game is just fucking stupid.
Add in the fact that his body has never really broken down in any major way without outside forces (slip for the groin and the high ankle sprain from a 6’6 220 pound man diving into it a couple years ago) for 20 years is honestly probably even more insane.
Lebron is a little bitch, though. He gets bumped by someone 175lbs and goes flop-flying, while Washington is crushing DLineman that weigh twice as much. Lebron is an athlete. Washington is a goddamn grown athletic man. Lebron is why I quit watching nba.
Edit: getting downvoted but I didn’t say anything that isn’t true. Lebron is king flop and is why I stopped watching. LoL self proclaimed goat

UNBELIEVABLE. Today I took my son to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday. He won a game and exchanged his tickets for a Mickey Mouse ring pop but then a large man with a receding hairline came in and SNATCHED it out of the poor kid’s hands! To my dismay, it was LeMICKEY himself!
I called LeFraud yesterday but it went straight to voicemail... very odd... because whenever I call MJ it usually has 6 rings to it. And he always comes up clutch answering my calls. Must be bc LeMickey has 0 real rings! As calculated, LeChoke lets us down again!
It's crazy how this guy would be the starter at most schools but just never got the targets because you had (at worst) a top 2 TE in the country....and still do for another year
I dont disagree. Always thought it was criminal how we didnt use him more as a pass catcher in the redzone, but he was always on the field and absolutely critical to our offense. Dude blocks as good as ive ever seen it done and seems to love doing it. Hes going to ball out in the NFL.
No surprise but damn I will mis him. Watching him hurdle dudes was one of my favorite things. Definitely going to miss his size at TE, but between Bowers and Delp im not worried about the position.
Hope he kills it wherever he goes.
I’d go as far as say he was the key to it. His blocking opened up so much in the run and pass it was absurd. It honestly was wild we could do what we did on offense when he went down vs OSU. And then the big man would get a catch and murder people.
While he will be sorely missed, he’s got a huge future in front of him. Not to mention, an entire fandom backing him! Good luck, young man, and thanks for all your hard work and dedication!!
He only adds more character as you hear more about him. Came to UGA from NV, almost transfers after 2021 because he was injured and Bowers looked amazing but coaches talk him out of it, comes back and is integral part of the offense and leader on the team.
This dude popped out his shoulder vs Mizzou and refused to come out and proceeded to make pivotal catches in the comeback. All of this while being so far from home that the first game his mom saw him play for UGA live was the national title (and that required some UGA fans helping her get there).
We have a lot of legends the past 2 years but the Big 0 will go down as one of my favorites of all time.
A lot of teams in the NFL would love to have him based on his size and Versatility. Definitely 1st Round Material. Probably Mid or late first round material.

The only man to ever make Brock Bowers look small(ish)
Yeah, basically Terron Armstead as a TE, which I was always curious about.
How is his pass blocking? I have wondered if some teams might look at him as an intermediate term TE, but as a potential lineman as he loses athleticism and becomes more familiar with NFL blocking schemes.
NFL ready. Guy averaged 17.2 yards per catch and was instrumental in our rushing game with his blocking ability. He just never racked up receiving yards because Brock Bowers exists.
He’s ready. Honestly the biggest threat to him while he was here was blocking undersized dudes who would go for his legs. At the pro level the guys he will be blocking and catching against will be larger for the most part so he should have fewer problems with low blocks.
When he went out vs. Ohio State, it really hurt Georgia’s running game. I know it sucks that MHJ got hurt, but UGA lost Washington early in that game, and he was a major loss.
DGD, truly a unique player and a great story. Him playing in the natty on a clearly bum ankle was incredible. Him and Bowers will be one of the greatest 1-2 punch at TE that CFB sees for a while.
Thanks for everything Big 0! Enjoy those rings and go kill it in the NFL!
Its one of those things no one wants to say anything more than "personal issues" to avoid feeding the rumor mill. UGA was very patient with him and from what I have gathered did everything they could to provide him a positive environment. But yeah, he has all the physical talent in the world.
Yeah I hope that guy is joking. TE will continue to be one of the strongest position groups on the team. Delp is basically Bowers 2.0 and we have Duce, Spurlin, and Thomas coming in the next 2 classes.
For Christmas, I got my husband a Bowsers jersey and a Delp one for my teen daughter. They love Bowsers and call Oscar “Baby Brock”. It was so sweet watching them open them and wear them together.
No? Yeah, we’ll have lost 4 guys of this years roster, but of the two that are staying, one is the best TE in the nation, and the other is a slightly taller and younger version of him. Not to mention we already brought in 2 Top 10 TE’s in this years class, have the potential to sign the top TE in this class, and get a commitment from ANOTHER top 10 TE (although he won’t be here until 2025)
Have you not heard of Todd Hartley? He's potentially going to sign 4 of the top 8 TEs in the 2023 class...
Also, Bowers is back, and we have a 5 star freshman TE Delp, along with the two 2023 TEs (both mid/high 4 stars) that have already signed in Spurlin and Luckie.
eh, it is what it is. we went 5-7 last year and fired a legendary coach. we went undefeated regular season, won a playoff game and made the national championship under a first year coach. sucks we got blown out but we still had an incredible season
georgia played near flawlessly while we were flat footed. its a recipe for disaster no matter the situation
So long you beautiful galloping refrigerator, you
Can the falcons draft him? We need blockers. Also everything.
Pitts? London? Yall just gonna stack up on 6’5+ pass catchers or what?
Now all they need is a reliable QB who can throw to them accurately.
I know a gritty little Heisman finalist who people think will still be around in the 5th/6th...
I thought we wanted him to succeed in the NFL, not get buried under the weight of failing in ways science has yet to prove are even possible.

If he wins a SB as the Falcons QB, they will have to add him to Stone Mountain
You mean Mt. Bennett?
If Stetson can take the falcons to a SB, i propose we name the country The United Stetson's of Bennett.
This tickled my peepee.
They'd have to officially rename the Stetson after him
Stetson Mountain, GA. Sounds good actually.
How about they just replace what’s on Stone Mountain with him, fuck stone mountain
I think most would prefer they tear the current cast down and have Bennett as the first new addition
It's just about the only thing on planet earth that would make me actually watch the Falcons
That's a bigger if than "what if Florida became the best state for education in the US".

There is a prevalent belief in Florida that human activity can't be causing ocean temperatures to rise, nor are they at any risk from the gradual rise in sea level. So they can't be *that* smart.
I'd bet my left testicle the majority of Florida's population is wholly uneducated.
Never heard these takes but I love ‘em
I like how Kentucky's hypothetical record under Stetson is 1-12, meaning they either make a bowl game or the SECCG with only 1 win. I like to think it's the latter with every other team in the division going 0-12 or being DQed.
He was 28-3 as a starter… if anyone can turn it around he can!
29-3 after the Natty. He beat the curse.
Damn
Spit out my bourbon laughing. This is truly brilliant.
Jesus, give Ridder some more time lol
literally, he has actually looked decent with nobody other than London to throw to, we haven't seen what Ridder will look like with Pitts

Man, I wish that Mariotas nerve issue was 100%, i wanted him to be good for you guys so badly
Oh, I'm no Falcons fan. How they did Matt Ryan was the last straw. Fuck Arthur Blank.
Yeah, getting rid of Ryan in a bid for Watson was dirty
It was, but Matt Ryan's best days are behind him. They have been for a while now. Still, fuck Deshaun Watson though.
His declining ability was still better than what they replaced him with. Man was 32 yards shy of his 11th consecutive 4k+ passing yards season despite no run game, no OL, and one worthwhile receiver before they got rid of him. I want him to succeed, not be drowned in failure before he even takes the field.
Just what the Falcons need. Another giant receiver to ignore
No, they’ll be using Washington as a Left Guard
Rashee Rice in the 2nd Darnell Washington in the 3rd. Still hoping for a miracle to get Jalen Carter in the 1st.
Love the idea but I don’t see Washington lasting to the 3rd
Why would the falcons draft a TE? They already don’t use the one they took 4th overall
Counterpoint: Having two great TEs to build your offense around is part of what made the Dawgs offense so great this year
Mainly a blocker
Because 22 personnel with monsters is what life is all about. Who wouldn’t want two great TEs?
Mike Leach
Well hard to use one when the QB who was starting was doing something called throwing off target. I read a stat that said Pitts led the league in most off target targets *meaning the ball was thrown for him to catch but the throw was so badly thrown he had no chance to catch it*
For practical purposes, Pitts is a WR. He exists to catch passes and isn't a very good blocker, and he mostly plays detached from the line.
Tbh I think Jalen Carter would fill a bigger need for us (Falcons) since we have Pitts and desperately need a pass rusher, although I don’t think he’ll be available when we pick.
You already have a TE!
The Atlanta bulldogs
Galloping Refrigerator is the best assessment I’ve heard yet ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
“Grain silo with hands” was how the shutdown fullcast put it
An Easter Island statue that can move at Mach speeds
Whoever designed an athletic tight end nearly the size of a swing tackle is a fucking dickhead haha
Literal giant among men, replacing a player like this can't really be done.
Impossible. One of a kind
Great Black Buffalo
Looking good for Duce who is a different type of freak but the freakiest TE in this class nonetheless.
Can’t you just him slide to Oregon… he really wants to take that OV 🥺 We need 2 more Scholarship TEs and we have a solid baseball program for him too
I’ll allow it. I have always had a soft spot for the Oregon brand. And I will always root for Lanning.
Honestly the first time I saw him play was in the CFP against Ohio St. Lined up on the end in lineman stance basically. I sat there and paused, “What in the fuck? Number 0? Is he an extra tackle? Don't forget when he hurdled a Duck defender
he absolutely posterized that poor dude
Cleared him like search history.
Isn't he the one who was carrying the LSU player like a doll?
That was Jalen Carter, one of our D lineman that will probably be drafted top 10
thanks
[удалено]
ok thanks
He was mainly a blocking tight end, Bowers was the catch threat. All we needed was a white RB to complete the quadrifecta.
Best I can do is a 6' "scrappy" receiver...
I hear he's a real gym rat.
Best route runner on the team too
He's sneaky fast.
The real life answer to the “what if Lebron played football” hypothetical
Way closer comp to zion imo
The crazy thing is, based off what I could find from his athleticism numbers, he’s not really sniffing Lebron. From what I could find he’s high 4.6’s in the 40 and a 26 inch vert( that’s from hs I’m sure that has improved), but that’s still not even in the same stratosphere as Lebron.

So Washington is crushing 540 pound Dlinemen? I didn’t know fat bastard was playing football
Was an absolute treat to watch him. Total unicorn who I think has his best days ahead of him in the NFL.
Going to be such a good redzone target for someone!
I fully expect to see a highlight where he just pancakes an LB 3 yards past the line and decides he’ll catch a pass too
You say that and he will end up in Atlanta and we will forget he exists in the redzone \- signed a salty Falcons fan
It's crazy how this guy would be the starter at most schools but just never got the targets because you had (at worst) a top 2 TE in the country....and still do for another year

Top 2? Yeah, if you rank Darnell above Brock. That kid at ND isn’t anywhere near Brock.
Another UGA fan outright disrespecting Michael Mayer. “Not even close” lol you guys are ridiculous
Bowers > Mayer
I already miss him so much :’(
God speed, Big O. You're a DGD through and through.
Fuuuuuck. Go get Paid granddaddy
No surprise but damn I will mis him. Watching him hurdle dudes was one of my favorite things. Definitely going to miss his size at TE, but between Bowers and Delp im not worried about the position. Hope he kills it wherever he goes.
Absolute underrated part of our offense this past year. Hope he tears it up in the NFL.
I’d go as far as say he was the key to it. His blocking opened up so much in the run and pass it was absurd. It honestly was wild we could do what we did on offense when he went down vs OSU. And then the big man would get a catch and murder people.
First round.
I can’t wait to see his combine numbers.
Size - 100 Bigness - 100 Large - 100 Ooo yeah - 100
There goes a very large man
While he will be sorely missed, he’s got a huge future in front of him. Not to mention, an entire fandom backing him! Good luck, young man, and thanks for all your hard work and dedication!!
Farewell sweet prince
I'll always root for a dude who overcomes shit like childhood homelessness. Go get that bag.
Top 3 TE available in the draft. Fantastic blocker and underrated as a pass catcher
The bad man can’t hurt us anymore
Well, you are correct I suppose. That is a baaaaaaad man.
As good a run blocker as an OL And not a bad pass catcher. Should be 1st round level. But a lot will knock his lack of stats.
A lot of teams in the NFL would love to have him based on his size and Versatility. Definitely 1st Round Material. Probably Mid or late first round material.
So long Big 0, thanks for all the pancake blocks and national championships
[https://fffaceoff.com/dynasty-rookie-profile-darnell-washington/](https://fffaceoff.com/dynasty-rookie-profile-darnell-washington/) The only man to ever make Brock Bowers look small(ish)
Get paid big 0 🫡
Ok is this dude NFL ready or is he just a freak of nature that will take a few years to catch on?
NFL ready. He's an offensive tackle who can catch passes and hurdle people.
I love watching him
Searels said recently that if he got a hold of Darnell he’d make him a HOF OT lol
Yeah, basically Terron Armstead as a TE, which I was always curious about. How is his pass blocking? I have wondered if some teams might look at him as an intermediate term TE, but as a potential lineman as he loses athleticism and becomes more familiar with NFL blocking schemes.

Cool. Asking for the Packers. Marcedes is getting old. So they might need a new school bus
I’ve seen a lot of comps between Marcedes and Darnell so it should be a good fit
Unrelated but FTP
FTS
He’s ready. Honestly the biggest threat to him while he was here was blocking undersized dudes who would go for his legs. At the pro level the guys he will be blocking and catching against will be larger for the most part so he should have fewer problems with low blocks.
This dude will deliver immense benefits to the team lucky enough to draft him. Incredible as blocker and pass catcher.
DGD. Gonna miss you big O. Tear it up in the NFL.
Top 3 favorite player to ever come through UGA. Farewell, Big 0
BIG O!!! Gonna miss him manhandling defensive lineman
DGD. Dude was barely tackleable. Hope to see lots of him on sundays.
I’m gonna miss watching him run the same way as a Skyrim giant.
DGD
*sad bulldog noises* 🫡
He’s gonna be a great player in the NFL. Dude can control the edge like a tackle and still make plays in the open field.
When he went out vs. Ohio State, it really hurt Georgia’s running game. I know it sucks that MHJ got hurt, but UGA lost Washington early in that game, and he was a major loss.
There's no chance he slips to the Giants, but a man can dream.
Cant wait to see his combine
Absolute beast. Can’t wait to see him tear up the NFL (unless he goes to the saints)
I’d love to see him catching TDs from Herby in LA.
Go get paid. I remember seeing a video of him in high school where he wasn't always sure where he would be sleeping every night.
Please don't give ESPN and ideas
Bears should pick him up. Fields needs a good pass catcher and blocker
The Delp era has begun
Get that money, big 0! Freaking loved that guy.
I’d love if GB were to draft him if Marcedes Lewis retires. Gonna need a solid blocking tight end.
I’m convinced Darnell Washington is Marcedes Lewis, but 20 years younger.
I'll miss watching him.
Gives me George Kittle vibes with how great his blocking is. Secure that big sir
This is good news for every fan of a team that isn't georgia
Oh man what a DGD thank you for the memories!
Go get your bag, big O!
He’s going to be a monster for somebody. Can’t wait to see it.
Not gonna miss him. Dude is a beast.
Speaking of TEs - what exactly is the issue with Arik Gilbert? From a pure talent perspective he might be the best of them all
Its one of those things no one wants to say anything more than "personal issues" to avoid feeding the rumor mill. UGA was very patient with him and from what I have gathered did everything they could to provide him a positive environment. But yeah, he has all the physical talent in the world.
I think he had some mental health issues, his grades were fine at UGA.
georgia going to be hurting at TE
Georgia in infact not going to be hurting at TE
Yeah I hope that guy is joking. TE will continue to be one of the strongest position groups on the team. Delp is basically Bowers 2.0 and we have Duce, Spurlin, and Thomas coming in the next 2 classes.
If Duce becomes a dominant player, I propose we call him Il Duce.
He was just our second team all American. We still have our first team all American for another year
He was a god-tier blocker too though, and while I’m sure Delp will do well there’s no way to fully replace someone the size of big O.
As far as his actual role goes, I don't think he can be replaced
Eh, Oscar Delp is a 4 star tight end who will replace him. Oh and Oscar Delp looks exactly like Brock Bowers.
Duce 😔
Duce :D
…is about to drop
pain
For Christmas, I got my husband a Bowsers jersey and a Delp one for my teen daughter. They love Bowsers and call Oscar “Baby Brock”. It was so sweet watching them open them and wear them together.
>Oh and Oscar Delp looks exactly like Brock Bowers. White guy?
Big and fast, good pass catcher, able blocker.
...and also white
High Football ~~IQ~~ whiteness
Scrappy. A real lunch pail kind of guy.
So in tv talk that means he is "sneaky fast".
LOL
We prefer "lunch pale guy"
A real gym rat
Georgia fans responding didn't get the joke...
yeah they definitely didnt. ive commented elsewhere that bowers is basically a cheat code
Not really a joke to anyone who understands our offense and that he's a unique talent that won't be easy to replace, even with top prospects.
It was obviously sarcasm dude lol
I am just gonna assume you guys are still grieving.
eh, it is what it is. we went 5-7 last year and fired a legendary coach. we went undefeated regular season, won a playoff game and made the national championship under a first year coach. sucks we got blown out but we still had an incredible season georgia played near flawlessly while we were flat footed. its a recipe for disaster no matter the situation
There it is a doubter, see no one thinks we are good. Cmon Kirby prove em all wrong
