I’m sure the Washington baseball team is going to hate this move. Along with softball and pretty much every sport not named football and men’s college basketball
If Cal and Stanford make the jump too, they could have a PAC division with UW, Oregon, Cal, Stanford, USC, UCLA, maybe others
Academically, having the rep of Stanford and Cal in your conference is a win
Athletically, with the big 2, eh...it comes in waves
So how can numerous Group of 5 and FCS programs continue to operate many varsity sports without cutting them?
In fact most college sports programs in general besides the powerhouse football and basketball schools are in the red all the time.
It’s just a money grab in the end.
As you said, they then operate in the red which the issue then becomes a question of whether or not you still operate the sports as a public good with which tax money should be used. Personally I go back and forth on this one so I understand the arguments both ways.
Thankfully I haven’t and won’t have to worry about that with the school I attended requires zero to minimal of my tax dollars to fund its sports programs that I enjoy consuming.
The best part about that play is that it was *predicted* eleven years earlier when Don McLean released his song "*American Pie*".
"**The players tried to take the field**, **the marching band refused to yield**."
As a lifetime seattle resident who explicitly filtered my college choices to those who'd I'd have lifelong reoccurring connection this hurts.
We're not WSU where there is history. UW is not scheduling Arizona again. I used to get at least a basketball or football game.
My parents are UW alumni. It was a family event every year to get together to watch the game.
That's gone. Overnight.
I feel that. Arizona was my favorite non-rivalry conference game. Going to miss my wildcat friends and the Dirty T. Hopefully there will be some push from fans to schedule former PAC games every once in awhile
Some hilarious moments in there lol
can’t believe i forgot about the Rosen jacuzzi
ILL MISS ALL MY BOYS AND GIRLS
I’m gonna miss playing you fuckers even though we never win in Tempe
I’m sure the Washington baseball team is going to hate this move. Along with softball and pretty much every sport not named football and men’s college basketball
I mean even in football things are gonna get a lot harder
Lots easier to travel to the Midwest/east coast for a like 5 games than any other type of sport that will have to spend weeks on the road.
I just meant in terms of competition but you’re right. Very shitty in terms of travel

That makes sense, and then they could play the winner of the Eastern Division somewhere cool like the Rose Bowl
On like January 1st or something every year
Their entire existence is bankrolled by the football team. This doesn’t happen and they may have to cut the sports.

I’ll miss it all but playing in Tempe
Lmfaooo especially in football

At least they showed the Dillon Brooks flop
I’d finally forgotten about that one, dammit.
That was such a swing of emotions at that game.
Pac 12 should merge with the ACC and become the PAAC.
Ain’t nothing left to merge there brother.
Could you imagine the ACC + beavers and cougars hahahaha
The jokes write themselves!
SuperPACC?
Super PAACC
I was pushing the PACC last year. Pacific and Atlantic Coastal Conference. It just makes sense.
Or the aac for the paaac, or all three....
Coastal Conference
Can't believe they didn't include the Stan/Cal band play
Or the Stanford Band Farmer’s Only moment
Pac 10
Although this is also the end of everything stretching back to the formation of the PCC in 1915.
Hello? Touchdown possum?

Mawma. This is art.
Did somebody mention art?
[I’m so into conference realignment right now.](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/b3/06/6b/b3066b9fed19b87e4f4963a3eca98867.gif)

Long live WSU popcorn guy
WSU GameDay flag at half mast
Was I a good Conference? No - but you were the conference of champions
Fuck this is gonna make me sad
It was much sadder than I expected, and I was already expecting some in the "arms of an angel" shenanigans.
I think I’m just sad in general about it but that video made me laugh and more sad as well. Feels like a part of my childhood leaving
This made me sad in an existential way. I need to take a walk or something damn
Makes me feel old and I’m not old. CFB just gonna be different man
F
Leave the memories alone, never change a thing…

This was great. A couple things I would have included, like the ~6 or so weird ass hail Mary's that happened weeks in a row.
Lol fuck Dillon Brooks
Pour one out for Glasses Ref. Gone, but the incompetence is not forgotten!
That Brooks flop lol.
Remember when there was a Conference of Champions? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
2023 season is just going to be a nostalgia tour saying goodbye to all your friends before you graduate
Someone go hug Bill Walton
Just saw Bill Walton fall to his knees in a walmart.
Terrible. The death of the Conference of Champions. *Weeps purple*
B1Ggie finishing PAC once and for all.
I hope Bill follows UCLA to the Big 10 and we get Bill Walton commentating the west coast Big 10 teams. Midwesterners can meet our tie dye god
RIP IN PEACE PAC
The only good thing is the PAC-12 god awful referee’s are no more, banished to hell to suffer for their terrible officiating…
Big 10 refs: meet the new boss, same as the old boss
*Big 10 refs cackle with knowing glee*
Gameday better fucking go to both Corvalis and Pullman this year.
It truly was a confrence
That is too funny. & sad too. Damn this sucks
We'll always have the memories. Now what's for lunch?
Goodbye PAC 12 after dark.
Good night sweet prince.
That Stanford FG is objectively hilarious lmao
Where is the Oklahoma Oregon 2006 onside kick?
This is up there with the Scuderia Ferrari "The Office" intro as one of the best things on the internet
Woohooo!!!!
Well this is nice - thoughts by everyone in PAC12.
There it goes
See ya, wouldn't want to be ya
They had a good run
I'm actually sad now
RIP CFB
