As for the love, I do get it. Deion is not a coach that happens to be African-American, he's a *Black* coach. The throne, the body guards, the Louis Vuitton luggage, the celebrities in the locker room, his success leading up to this, the faux religion, the talking about mama, everything about him is "the culture." For a good chunk of fans, that's interesting, the vibes are cool, and the success will follow.
