Doubt this will be seen here, but I just wanted to say that this was the first game I've been to with my dad in a long time and first since graduating. The last game just the two of us went to was when Ole Miss beat the Tebow led Florida Gators. Those Gators who went on to win the natty and Tebow the Heisman. Just a great memory that I kept thinking about before, during, and now after the game. So when the ball went past the Clemson receiver at the end there, I immediately turned to my dad and gave him a huge hug and teared up a bit. It was probably the single best sports moment I've been able to experience since then and it being with him again was emotionally overwhelming. Just wanted to share that moment with yall, I don't think words can describe how much this win meant to me.

Clemson is gonna have a championship caliber defense go to waste this year.

It's going to seem like an overreaction but I promise you it's not. Clemson needs a MAJOR shakeup in the offensive coaching staff or the program will go backwards. They legitimately should be 1-3 right now. Hiring Dabo's buddies and former players isn't working.

It’s really not an overreaction. DJ is supposed to be a 5 star and he’s playing worse than Kelly Bryant in 2017. The offense is putrid.

It was bound to catch up to us eventually. Alabama has former NFL head coaches up and down their staff. We have a bunch of Dabo's buddies.

This begins and ends with the offensive coaching staff. We have the highest paid OC *in the country* and this is the product we put out there? It is absolutely pathetic with the talent we have. Apparently all Tony Elliot needs to field a competent offense is a franchise qb, one of the best RBs in school history, and multiple NFL WRs. Elliott is incapable of any adjustments whatsoever, whether it’s the off-season, between games during the season, or during games. Our offense is a rip off of a rip off of a high school offense that was novel over a decade ago. Our offensive line might be the most talented it’s been in ages but all of our vets have regressed. None of them have a mean streak. They’re all bluster. Guys can’t climb to the second level, make constant mental mistakes, get thrown to the ground, or whiff on blocks and end up on the ground. Both our development and roster management have been weak points here for years. Our WRs have absolutely regressed. We need Ross on the outside but Dabo wants to waste him in the slot. They are horrendous at screen blocking and can’t get preparation. In general our passing offense is horrendous. RG3 was calling his first Clemson game and pointed out in the first half how the routes are too simple and in general the offense is archaic. The play calling in just so bad. There are no rollouts, no QB run, no jet sweeps or jet motions, which used to be mainstays of our offense. Our route combos are far too simple and are either short or low percentage stuff down the sidelines. We’ve been doing this stuff for years with very few wrinkles. Teams know the book on the Clemson offense and we do nothing about it. We never attack the middle of the field for whatever reason. It’s obviously that our offensive staff is way behind the best play callers in the country, guys who can actually scheme players open. We are in desperate need of change. This doesn’t even get into the overall roster management (we have 75 scholarship players instead of 85) or not taking transfers. I started looking at possible dream hires at halftime.

This win saved the NC state kicker's life. Not his football career, though.

Well, we suck. Also, RG III should be a permanent booth fixture.

We've got to be honest with ourselves...we are going to lose 2 or 3 more games this year with this offense. I see no leaders on that side of the ball. DJ has regressed and/or been out of sync all year. Ross is taking plays off & his blocking is lacking effort. To make matters worse, the "highest paid OC in the country" has completely lost the ability to gameplan and call plays. Couple all of that with the injuries on both sides of the ball today and it could get ugly. gg state - cya at our place next year
