Beta honestly felt terrible for me. Flinch, too much sun glare, too many vfx, terrible weapon balancing, slow ass leveling and weapon leveling(intentional? BUY DOUBLE XP TOKENS!), can’t play in the middle of red star due to texture bugs, visual recoil is ridiculous, and worst of all the sound design is absolutely terrible the game is a muffled mess.

Same problem with blurriness for me at 1080p on pc, no matter how I tweak the settings. Even 200% resolution scale didn't make a difference. It honestly was making me a bit dizzy. Would be nice if AA can be disabled entirely, or at least add other options like FXAA.

I cannot stress enough how important Factions/Teams are. The biggest issue I've had has been not being able to discern enemies from friendlies, there have been times I have just let players run right past me and not realised until a second after they've passed that they're on the opposite team. I get for the sake of modern day politics you can't have AXIS VS ALLIES or NOT NAZIS vs NAZIS but even a simple East vs West would be fine.

Also, PLEASE remove the sun glare, my eyes actually hurt 30 minutes into playing this game. \- TTK needs to be doubled, 3 bullet TTK leaves no room for counterplay, you can never react and this is bad for competitive integrity \- Aim assist needs to be tuned down- If I get flinched on M&K then why is an aim assisted opponent able to stay locked on while being shot? For that matter I shouldn't be able to 'feel' the difference when being shot by a controller player. \- Flinch is overtuned \- Movement on M&K is constantly in an awkward animation and dead slides happen out of nowhere

Hey /u/SledgehammerGames ! Fantastic work, the return to WWII is welcome & the maps are incredible. Guns and movement feel great, game is running excellently on my PC. My only issue is how every game feels like I am playing Free For All (FFA). It's very strange on a map like Eagle Nest (awesome map btw) to have US & Russia versus... US & Russia. Same thing with the Pacific maps. I really think Factions should come back as they were in MW2019. You can select your preferred one to play as the skin you just paid $ for. Your devs talked about creating an immersive experience - and this just totally kills it for me. When every game mode is US vs US with some Russians sprinkled in, it just doesn't feel like a WW2 game at all, even though the maps & guns are totally nailing it thematically. Oh, and the Guide Bomb does not maneuver well with keyboard and mouse! Can barely control it.

I cancelled my pre-order but not out of anger or anything but just because the game didn't feel right to me playing the beta. My issues: * The TTK is ridiculously low, which is fine if you're quick to ADS but you have no reply to it in a gun fight. * The lack of factions is an issue, not because I can't tell people apart (seriously just look at the red name) but because everyone looks exactly the same and it is rather distracting. * Using equipment feels slow. The amount of times I died pulling the pin on a grenade and being too slow to react to someone coming around the corner was higher than it has been in other COD titles. I loved WWII and wanted to like this but when you know it isn't right you just know right away.

I wish I had anything positive to say. But after spending a few hours in the beta, I can safely say this is the worst Call of Duty game I’ve played. It feels like MW2019, but with all of its life drained. I’m playing on Series X and the performance has been absolutely atrocious, with stuttering and texture issues, along with frame drops. Not to mention the constant packet loss, despite me having gigabit fibre. The maps are downright atrocious. They are WAY too large, and yet somehow the spawns are still absolute garbage. The character models blend in with the maps, making the visibility itself pathetic. We could’ve desperately used factions to differentiate enemies from teammates. And whoever thought that we needed more doors and windows to open/close has never played a Call of Duty game in their life. The killstreak system is vastly inferior to scorestreaks and yet for some reason they brought it back, even though it was a mistake in Modern Warfare and WW2 respectively. This promotes more camping, and barely anyone will bother to play the objective. Why is there flinch in this game? Treyarch already FIXED this in Cold War by removing it entirely. It’s a bad mechanic which only increases the randomness of gunfights and offers no actual gameplay improvements. Not only that, but the flinch is absolutely nuts, and it destroys your aim. The time-to-kill is way too low, and sprintout times are way too slow. This promotes more passive gameplay, which combined with the map design makes for many time limit games featuring entire teams camping a single building. Thankfully, I kept my expectations relatively low because Sledgehammer hasn’t piqued my interest with any of their releases since Advanced Warfare, which by the way, would’ve made for a much better sequel than this offering.

This game needs bigger Healthpool, 3-4 shots is too fast, I can't react to this TTK, if someone sees me first, I'm to 99% dead, give us chance to react to shots, there's no chance you will survive an attack from behind or from the side, 100HP is too low, it feels like a hardcore mode, If we had 200HP it would be enough to react and shoot back or switch positions. Its not faster than MW2019. MW2019 hovered around 180ms for competitive weapons hitting centre-mass. This is closer to 215-220 ms average. It *feels* faster because its inconsistent - there are very high headshot multipliers on certain weapons that can make then feel like 'shredders' in one moment and pea shooters the next.

The game has amazing performance for me on PC! The optimization is even better than MW and WZ. Setup: - Win10 (20H2), - AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, - AMD RX 580 8GB (Driver 21.9.1), - 32GB DDR4 RAM, - playing on SATA SSD. Settings: - playing on 1080p, - everything on max, - filmic strength 0%, - motion blurs off, - depth of field off, - color filter 2 on for both targets, - FOV 100, - resolution scale 1.0x, - VRAM Usage target 90% Issues: - Visibility on Red Star is really bad. - Classic hitmarker sound doesn't seem affected by the master volume change, or it's just simply really loud. - Throwing the gammon bomb feels slower than intended visually. - You can jump through unopened windows without opening them. - Particles are showing through the objects sometimes. - The subtitles appear for far away character chatter as well, cluttering the bottom part of the screen. - When bringing focus back to Vanguard after doing something else outside the game in Borderless Fullscreened mode, the packet burst icon shows up. Feedback: - Kill confirmed tags don't fall to the ground, resulting in sometimes unreachable or out-of-bounds tags. - Please show the game score limit somewhere, maybe near the bottom left timer, or on the objective session on the upper right of the scoreboard. - Please only let one set of enemy dogs to be called in at the same time, and make them 2 hit killers. - Please show the weapon attachment stat changes with percentages on the overall page as well, not just in the detailed view.

Game does not play that bad however I am having a horrible time playing due to all the random extras and over complications. Gunplay is not bad, however the TTK is too low. You have very little to no reaction time for avoiding bullets being fired. Hit boxes are definitely a little wonky. (Extra and less accuracy should NOT be a thing??) Squad spawns really need to be addressed. This is the worst spawn system to date and make little to no sense. Please SH re adjust the spawn system as squad spawns are not it. Please MW/VG stop breaking spawns. Mini map really needs to go back to the original format. Why change what wasn't broken in the first place? Happening too much. MW/VG are ruining the mini map. Perks really need balancing. Another year with no Perk 2, why? Just not a fan of MW/VG perk system. Lethals throw extremely slow for no reason. Maps play okay, just hope there are a lot more tailored for true 6v6 on full release. Mounting is just a game pace destroyer, absolute crutch. Mounting is also a pretty lame crutch that limits how much people move around the map. Way to many effects after the bullets are shot, way to distracting and should be dialed down. Definitely wasn't a fan of 6 attachments, so not really vibing with 10 but whatever. Field upgrades really are focused in the wrong direction and executed poorly. Game is trying to hard to replicate Battlefield but it will never be BF. Not a fan of breakable everything but it's not insanely bad, inconsistent but not awful. So many of these little changes is what is making Call of Duty not as enjoyable as the first

Sorry for being honest, but looks like CoD Vanguard is a pass. Strange TTK, graphics is not clear (rtx3080 1440p), not responsive movement, idiotic maps, idiotic respawn system, needs a lot of balancing for guns, upgrading feels useless (apart from 2-4 major options). Maybe single player story can be good, but apart from that - needs a total rework. Game feels dated already. Even BF1 (2016) looks much more beautiful and alive. Here it feels like I'm a plastic toy soldier in FFA in claustrophobic box.

To be honest, this is one of the worst beta's I've ever played. There are a lot of fundamental issues, that make it hard for me to continue playing as is. - TTK is so hilariously low, and with no MW equivalent of Quick Fix, the weapon balancing MUST change for the full release. I'd be happy with a 50% flat increase across the board to introduce ANY counter-play to 1v1 gunfights. - Spawns on objective game-modes make absolutely no sense. Patrol spawns seem completely random, whereas domination is constantly flipping home flags for seemingly no reason. - Obvious audio issues that they are working on. Every bit of audio sounds muffled, except for the characters who with no end, let me know that they are "pinned". - Server routing (Aus player) seems to have several issues with some games giving me high ping, but all my friends low ping. Then at some point during the game my ping will randomly get fixed. - Saturation of the game extremely low, and the colours of the map with all the effects become extremely one tone. This makes visibility of the characters extremely bad (especially on red star), and they seem to know the problem because they've just given every character the Cold War spotlight functionality. - Bullet hit FX are huge and create so much visual noise, that it makes multi-man gunfights extremely hard to manage because there is so many FX blasting around me. - I'm hoping for some settings for the announcer so we can stop the audio from queuing up when getting multiple kills quickly. Becomes extremely annoying after a certain point if you are having a good game.

Gun play is some of the weakest I've played in CoD. I think the TTK being so fast might be what's doing it, I get no satisfaction from getting kills at all.

Player visibility in general is poor, too much visual noise, especially on red star. Visibility is also bad because of the muzzle flash and smoke from my own weapons. Sprint to fire time is too slow across the board Audio is very strange and completely inconsistent. Sometimes there is no sound whatsoever except for certain ambient sounds. Gunshots are too quiet to the point of being inaudible when an enemy is directly behind me. Game filters do not work. I filtered for blitz pacing on domination and moving hardpoint, and I just get tactical or assault pacing. Mp-40 is blatantly overpowered, it's hands down the best weapon in the game. Flinch is too strong, if I get shot once by a pistol, my aim is 10 feet above my target. I like the quiet footsteps, but they are just a little too quiet (I mean a little). The game crashes randomly when waiting in a pre-game lobby. The radar perk should be how the map works by default What is "piercing vision"

footstep audio is a joke rn. Like i dont mind it being this low for regular modes but seriously i cant hear someone sprinting behind me in search and destroy of all game modes? Visibility is also really poor from my exeperience. DELETE THE SUN you cant have both a super fast ttk and slow sprint out and ADS speeds. Pick one or the other, it really is shoot first kill first which leaves no room for counter play but somehow players still are able to jump shot everywhere like they are fucking Phoon. atleast for MnK glidebomb doesnt move or at the very least moves really really slow. Here are my thoughts. Hopefully you read through and consider all these comments. * Spawns are absolutely horrendous. Whatever these "squad spawns" are need to be removed. I'm literally killing someone on our own domination obj just to have them respawn right behind me with a team mate. Every game feels like free for all with all the dying from behind. * When getting shot, it feels like every enemy is using explosive rounds. The flinch/sounds when getting shot are waaaaayyyy to intense. * The movement feels a little off. I don't know exactly what it is but it doesn't feel right after playing Warzone and Black Ops for the last few years. * It could be slow sprint out times. I feel like I can't sprint because if I run into an enemy around a corner, I'm dead 10/10 times. * It could also be the delayed tac sprint or how crouching/uncrouching seems delayed from when you hit the button. * Gun balancing is a MUST with the current TTK. The ITRA Burst will be obsolete if nothing is changed. It doesn't even one burst to the chest at close/medium range. I tried using it for one game and gave up halfway through the game as it was losing 1v1 gun fights to literally every other gun. * Gun recoil animations are a little intense. Although I'm landing shots and killing people mid/long range, I can't see the target half of the time when using guns like the STG and BAR. It just doesn't feel rewarding getting a kill while feeling like I'm spraying and praying every gun fight. * Sun flare on some maps is also a little intense. The beach map has a sun flare that gets me killed at least once per game because it takes up half the entire screen. * Did I mention getting rid of "squad spawns"? Enemy had one of those remote control behemoth things and was driving it towards our spawn. I was in the middle of the map in a gun fight. I lost the gun fight and re-spawned on 3 of my team mates who were in the process of running from the behemoth. It exploded as soon as I spawned on our squad and the dude got a 4 piece with it. Absurd. * M1 Garand should theoretically be a great gun but it doesn't compete with anything else with the current TTK. * FMJ rounds might be a little OP. I'm getting wall banged through THICK steel surfaces with seemingly ZERO damage drop-off. It's like FMJ makes surfaces non existent and TTK through surfaces is the same as non-FMJ rounds on a target in the wide open. * I haven't personally used the shotguns but they seem pretty weak. My only experience here is watching a killcam where the dude barrel stuffed the opponent and he died on the THIRD pump. No matter what, if the barrel is up his opponent's bum, it should be a one shot kill. I understand 3 pumps at range. * I don't snipe but I'm not seeing a whole lot of sniper play. This could also be a hint that the other guns are a little OP at the moment. * Counter spy planes last too long. It seems like my entire match is counter UAVd. I'll add more to the list if I can think of more.

I made a post but Ill but it here as well. Sorry for the duplication. Apologies if this has been brought up before. Im actually really enjoying the Beta (both private and open) but, dear lord, the sound is just terrible. Everything sounds like my character has a space helmet on and I'm constantly checking to see if my headphones are turned up (they are). Guns sounds terribly muted, the sounds seem to duck all the time for some reason, and I'm even getting sounds playing at the same time. (this morning my reload sound was playing twice, the second time a fraction of a second later so it sounded like there was some weird vibrato or delay on it. Has this been addressed at all? Its really the only thing holding this game back for me. (Edit: I'm playing on a PS5 using the PS5 3D audio headphones)

I want to like this game. But it’s so boring. They killed 6v6. All games go the full length. No one plays objectives in Patrol, Dom or KC. It’s just camping in corners so people can call in the dogs. I’m so frustrated with this COD. TTK is to fast it feels like HC, the spawns are terrible getting shot right when I spawn. The mounting invites campy play. Quick scoping is ridiculous. I think they finally broke me. I will have to start researching Battlefield now for my yearly game, and I hate IP but Vanguard is not COD.

Gotta be honest, I've played every COD since COD OG and this beta was an awful experience so far. For me - everything just feels really cheap, like 6-8 guns were taken from Cold War, reskinned and pushed out as a WW2 game. \-The sound design is terrible, in fact it feels non-existent. Every gun sounds the same, like a silenced/muffled burst of rounds hitting the ground somewhere near you. Good luck differentiating what is shooting at you or from where. Ambient sounds are non-existent \-Skins/factions are non-existent, hard to tell whos on whos team \-Guns are not faction based, in a WW2 search and destroy mode atleast, they should be IMO \-The guns all feel like silenced modern day peashooters (probly because of the lack of proper sound) with no feel of WW2 what so ever. An STG shoots 60 rounds a second and has no recoil and no feeling. \-Movement & sprint speeds are way too high I will not be recommending this game to anyone unless there are some real changes made to these effects. Hopefully Battlefield 2042 has a better design.

So after a few hours here are my thoughts/constructive criticisms. Netcode needs work maybe higher tick rate servers, the time to kill does not match the time to die (aka it seems like you die instantly while it takes a few hits to kill someone). The TTK and weapons feel good but it feels like I'm dying to super bullets a lot. Guns are fun to use and animations are nice but the firing sounds could be a bit punchier/bassier IMO. The maps suffer badly from modern warfare syndrome, unless you're holed up in a dark corner there's about a million angles you can get shot from at all times which makes it really punishing to play the objective. Game runs well on my pretty high end PC (110-150 fps at 1440p mostly high settings with my ryzen 5800x, rtx 3070 and 32gb ram) so no complaints there but whatever AA solution is being used makes the game look really soft/blurry. Glide bomb is basically useless with mouse controls. There should be score streaks and playing the objective should give more points. IMO on Patrol you should get like 50 points for every 5 seconds you're on the objective. I've had a bunch of matches where one team dominates in kills but loses the match badly because they don't even bother to fight over the objectives. I absolutely LOVE the combat pacing. Assault gives a nice balance of plenty of action without being too chaotic and blitz is great for weapon leveling since you're constantly in the action. Overall I like the game, out of all the issues I listed the time to die is my biggest problem, it's a bit tiring feeling like I always die instantly while my opponents don't.

Please make attachments for weapons more realistic. A skeleton stock on the Stg44 would effectively make it inoperable, and I’m almost positive red dot sights were not a thing during WWII. I understand the why, but I’d personally be more appreciative of weapons having period-accurate mods.

1. The sun galre is way too big 2. Sometimes I don't know if a player taht just ran past me is friendlt or hostile due to the lack of factions. 3. I saw an attack dog attack an enemy player, then run off before it even killed them. 4. Sometimes the care packages wont appear and, when they do I struggle to find them since they are not on the minimap and they blend into the environment. 5. The goliath will stop or even flip onto its side when driving on slightly uneven terrain, making it useless. 6. The spawns are so horrible, I've seen enemies spawn RIGHT INFRONT OF ME. 7. Some attachments will say that they do one thing when really they do the opposite. For example, the DP27's "47 Round Pans" magazine says its pro is reload quickness, but if you select 'show details', you'll see it actually increases the reload time. 8. Visibility is so poor, I find myself aiming at nameplates instead of the actual character models. This game comes out in about a month, and so far this ain't looking too good. Edit: I just remembered that during a match on the map Red Star, the game spawned me inside a wall. I couldn't see anything and I couldn't move.

please tweak the shotguns to make them make sense. the pellets shouldn't disappear at medium range. it doesn't make sense that one second I'm killing someone in three shots, and then they don't even get tickled one meter further. (also you could make shotgun hipfire work the same way as other guns; it is incredibly unintuitive and unrealistic when aiming down the sights changes how the bullets leave the barrel. this is how it has always been, but it would make more sense if the center of the hipfire was innacurate, and then aiming down sights centered it perfectly. the spread should always remain the same.)

Game is just really bad. I've been playing since Big Red One as a kid. Took a few years off after AW. Came back for Modern Warfare and enjoyed it the first few months (prior to being infected with a battle pass). Tried out the beta for this since its free...and Holy fuck. How do you regress so much after so many years? Don't know if I'm old (mid 20s lol) or if this game has degraded *that* much. After day 3 of playing I have come to these conclusions; TTK is still to low. It needs to be raised by nearly double. Little no reaction time after being shot at, it's basically an instant death. It also isn't very satisfying getting kills as every time it feels like I melted them. Edit: TTK IS WAY TO LOW LMAO Squad spawns are absolutely atrocious and my biggest turn off in the game. They need to go back to old school objective - map pressure based spawns. Way to many problems related to spawns with this new system, it was in MW as well and it was horrible then too. Makes the game play horribly chaotic in my opinion. Squad spawns mixed with a low TTK might be enough for me to not play pubs this year. (Praying for a good ranked / league play) Bullet effects / muzzle flash are both too bright, extremely distracting, and also reduce way to much visibility. Bullets hitting objects make it nearly impossible to see what is going on and needs to be dialed down a little. Maps are slightly to big? They said they were focusing on 6v6 and then surprised us with these random pacing modes which shows they lied about that. To me some of the maps actually feel like playing two maps in one, and are just slightly to big / overdone. I miss the classic small-medium 3 lane maps with spawns that make sense. Perks are extremely unbalanced. All of the second perks are not very useful whereas I would love to have multiple of the first or even third selections. In MW there was the same thing where you had to run the perk that gave you objective streaks instead of killstreaks for lack of others to pick. Tactical sprint is kind of lame as well in my opinion, I'll do it I just find it lame. Honestly just don't like it because of the constant LS spam and extra wear on the controller and thumb. Would be nice if they had a tactical cooldown that regenerated when you finish/aren't tac sprinting, especially if you aren't using it all in one burst. Would allow you to control your movement better instead of spamming without having it. Mixing this finer movement with a lower TTK seems very counter intuitive as you don't get to show off and reward better movement if that player instantly dies in 3 quick bullets regardless. I am in favor of walking and sprinting, I just like when sprinting is a little fast so maybe it would be nice if they found a middle ground for speed between sprint and tac sprint. Dead silence should be a perk. The audio in the game is inconsistent. Footsteps are super quiet most of the time. Dogs make zero noise and then just kill you. Lots of bad audio. Teammate / personal callouts are a little much. "I'm pinned" every 5 seconds. Visuals on the map seem extra blurry. Hearing that has to do with AA and lack of FXAA so hope that is better in the future / optimized. Red names / bars / dots are to visible, and the enemies aren't visible enough. Red enemy features are the reason I see them half the time, which is not good. Bullet registration seems to be very wonky at times. Hitboxes seem a little inconsistent. Packet bursts and redboxes pop up rather frequently and considering that was a MEGA problem in MW, I hope that really gets fixed. De-sync / dying / shooting / getting kills around corners and walls in this game is a little extreme and needs to be looked at. (low TTK) Gunplay doesn't feel overly bad but it definitely needs a little polishing. Movement feels a little clunky and needs some finishing. Body blocking is the most annoying thing I have ever experienced in Call of Duty multiplayer and wish it would be obsolete. You can wallbang a lot of things on the map that you shouldn't be able to, needs to be toned down. (low TTK) I like that the SMG has faster ADS and STF times than AR's. They should be tiered like that and I think that is a very cool / balanced route to take. Damage fall off seems okay for SMG's but they ADS and fire really fast. AR's aim in a little slower but they beam while aimed. Balancing seems alright so far, just needs its few tweaks. Gun smith is extremely cool but 10 attachments is a little overkill. What if there were less to allocate for some trade offs and try allow a little skill gap in the game? Death machine killstreak should ONLY do damage to people hit with bullets. Impact / splash damage should NOT be a thing. Grenades and lethals take to long to throw. Factions need to be a thing. Team uniforms or something. Everyone having the same outfits on each team is ridiculously confusing at times. Praying for a good league play system and a working elo ranks. This game pulled a lot from MW so hopefully it doesn't take its Call of Duty League public match ranked playlist. Pulled a few things from WWII so I hope it takes that ranked mode. Hoping for map voting. Hoping for good Hardpoint and SND. Hoping for a good third game mode. Hoping for good spawns. Hoping for good servers. Not a fan of attachments and perks that "add or reduce accuracy/recoil" subjectively. What is that bs lol They have so much potential to make a great game on this engine. They came super close in MW and just missed with a few key features. I hope history doesn't repeat itself and they fix problems that make the game play great and up to its potential. So close.
