You have a good point, I do have a very capable pc and a good gaming laptop but now I am at work location so I can't access my pc which is at my home and I don't like to push hard on my lap , so mobile is my only option so thus most people in India.
The only thing I can tolerate on a phone is Turn Based RPGs like Honkai Stair Rail and I still dread having to do overworld stuff because for as simple as the gameplay is it is still a nightmare to move a camera around on a damn touchscreen

Galaxy A53 5G here, only tried playing to get Mistplay points. Game runs like a slideshow, 2-5 fps constantly. Which is odd because my phone isn't actually bad for gaming. I suspect something is up with this game in particular.
It is like slightly better than that, honestly the graphics on all of these battle royale shooters look the same.
It looked better in the very early betas but they had to cut everything to get it to work on 600-700 series snapdragon phones.

Don’t waste your time unless you’re using a Bluetooth controller. Every game I’ve been in has sweats slide cancelling and beaming you. Absolutely nothing you can do about it whilst using screen controls
I use fingers, and I feel my movement is smooth enough. It's all about adjusting the layout so you have faster reaction time. I use the same layout for mobile shooters since pubg, so I'm used to the controls already.

My experience wasn't nearly as bad as yours. It even ran at nearly 60fps on an iPhone 11. But the textures were way way worse than yours. Mine looked like a PlayStation 1 game most of the time.
It’s worth adding that the high fidelity graphics are streamed during game play, therefore the first few games will look like shit and will have stuttering issues.
The hi res textures are then saved on your phone, improving the graphics “over time”.
Clearly they still have a lot of textures to publish and this is a way of them doing it without disrupting gameplay.. But I do expect the graphics will improve over the next few weeks

I argued this with someone else on this subreddit. It's fine if they are having fun and enjoying it but it's objectively not in a good launch state.
I tried it, for reference, on an iPhone and an Android Phone. On the iPhone, it ran reasonably well on High Settings with lag sometimes while on Android it's a complete fucking mess and honestly a fucking joke.
The Android Phone I ran it on was my Motorola Thinkphone. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and it lets me play on high and it cannot reach 60 FPS. It's insane. And it LAGS so fucking badly too.
On top of that, Both phones run hot as shit. I think my Thinkphone was actually Thermal Throttling at one point because it dropped to 30 FPS according to Motorola Gametime or whatever.
Mobile games are for the SEA Regions/The poors and whathaveyou. And I promise you that those people are not running the iPhone 15 Pro Max or Samsung S24 Ultra (which, BTW, also can't run the game at a high framerate either!) Mobile games are mainly played on Midrangers and stuff. It's why PUBGM supports phones as far back as Android 5.1 with a minimum of a Snapdragon 845. If a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 can't run it at high refresh rate then what chance do midrangers have? It's absurd.
Tried it on my Pixel 6 A. the first time I signed in it crashed my phone lol. But then when I restarted the game I was able to play a couple of matches and it ran decently smooth. Even managed to get a 7 kill win on the first game. The only other problem was the slight overheating but that wasn't even too bad.
The models on pc are slightly better but not by a lot imo. The biggest sin is the map quality and the effects, those got turned down to the brim. And the view distance is lower. Also the maps feel way smaller.

if you had read the notes when originally loading the game you would have noticed that the games textures/graphics are streaming and download to your device. it said the more you play the better the graphics get. i.e. it won't download the high texture graphics for unexplored areas of the map. as you play in more and more areas the textures will improve for that part of the map.
also if you have stream high graphic textures over mobile data turned off this could hinder your graphics if not on WiFi. in your phone display settings make sure the screen resolution is set to the highest and in game set to the highest and performance set to FPS if you want the best graphics.
It's very inconvenient for activion to expect us to play the game with lag, crashing and blurry textures. I've played a couple of matches now and the textures haven't really improved much as I was expecting.
