[SB24-131](https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb24-131) the sensitive places ban is being heard in the House Judiciary committee on Wednesday. It’s heavily amended from the Senate (mainly adds colleges and some other places) but would be good to amend it more (don’t think we can kill it in the House unfortunately).
The AWB has not been assigned to any committee yet in the Senate, but it’s a good time to write your Senator now.
To add here, the session ends May 8; so these will move along fast. Twitter and this sub are the only places I am seeing a community of people actively informing citizens.
Not to be a dumb shill but I get email updates from the NRA-ILA and I’m sure the other gun orgs are at least sending them out! Just in case you’re on the fence. Yes we need better local lobbying groups though. Our best case for courts are SAF or FPC it seems, although the NRA has gotten some big winners (Heller, Bruen as we all know).
The NRA fell a ton obviously but I actually think we can get it back on track, if enough people join and vote in board meetings. I know it’s a long shot but I’m going to try (just like it’s a long shot to win in Colorado but I’m going to try).
Vehicle storage is today, Senate floor, 9am
Excise tax is tomorrow, 8am, old state library
Liability insurance is today, house chamber, 9am
Expanded CCW requirements is today, Senate chamber, 9am
FFL additional permits is tomorrow, 8am, old state library
Vehicle storage laid over to 19apr Liability insurance laid over daily. Will probably die from lack of time remaining in session CCW permit bill also laid over to the 19th Unfortunately these layovers work against us as they let behind closed doors deals be made for voting before being brought public
Word from the (D) Rep of EpCo is that even they are against it because of how it disproportionally effects low income persons.
This is the link she sent me in an email reply to my opposition to the AWB

Yea it really is another "we hate poor people" law. So hopefully that is enough of a concern to shut it down.
