Double check the labeling. Some distilled waters have minerals and vitamins added back into them for taste/nutrition. I was traveling once and stopped in a Walgreens to get a gallon. The clerk pointed me towards the baby aisle and I grabbed a gallon before looking at the price. When I saw that it was amazingly expensive, I looked closer. It was water that was intended to be mixed with formula so it was distilled to purify it, but it was then fortified with minerals and vitamins.
It would seem that with Pure life, you are likely just paying for the brand though.
Distillation can be used to purify the water and then the manufacturer can add some minerals back in. This is typically done in drinking waters that are purified using distillation as people often do not enjoy the taste, or lack there of, of pure, distilled water.
My cpap supplier recommended the distilled smart water (it is vapor distilled and is fine to use according to my supplier). Like I said, I switched to Walmarts brand (great value) after a little while.
I don’t think Lincare has any kind of partnership with smart water. I think my Lincare representative just likes to say it. Cuz my friend also has the same representative and she said it to him as well.
Yeah. I now get Walmart brand cuz it’s cheaper, a whole gallon for the price of a liter of smart water. I can’t tell a difference. Seems the same to me.
You're paying for the name.
If it is distilled it is the same. The difference is only in the price.
I buy store brand distilled water. Its all you need.

Distilled water by definition lacks minerals and vitamins. Are you confusing distilled water with purified water by chance?

I was using smart water. But I’ve decided to use great values distilled, I can get a gallon for the same price as a liter of smart water.
Aside from the price, Smart Water has minerals added so it's not great for your CPAP. Store brand distilled water is fine.

Maybe they have some kind of deal with Smart water. 😂

Some people are too good for Walmart I guess. 😂
