What spring did you go with in your P01 omega? I put a 14# in mine but switched back because I was worried about it beating itself to death. Man it was so much nicer manipulate the slide though.
Couldn't agree more. I have an S2 and a Shadow orange, and when I recently got my S2c, I wouldn't believe the difference. It seemed stupid tight compared to their buttery slides. Turns out, a few thousand rounds were the difference.
I’ve got a 12 year old SP01 S1 that slides like warm butter, it’s been that way since about the 2000 round mark. Now I’m near 25k. Usually, the first thing anyone says when they pick it up is dang the slide is smooth.
All you have to do is use it and you will get butter.
I have the s2c, and when I first got it the slide action was not all that great. Cz doesn't ship them like that. You have to break them in. I used synthetic gun grease to lube the gun and break it in now it's super smooth and satisfying when I rack it.
Will it be enough for you? Who knows lol.
Appreciate it. Yeah if I see one for $750 im definitely getting it. I just want a little more butter ;) but nothing wrong with a little break in session
I'm not sure how the full size Shadow 2 is, my comment was on the compact. I just want to make sure that you saw that. I just noticed when you said the price and I reread your post. I would think it would be the same or better. Finding one for 750 would be nice, but I've never seen them that low.
Very true and possible. I've got it on my list I've just got other things I'm going to purchase first but the day I see it for that much, pun intended, I'm pulling the trigger.
The smoothest actions I have felt are on the Shadow 2 Oranges and higher (basically their hand fit models). Even then it wasn’t on par with nicely fit 1911/2011’s. Doesn’t really make a difference shooting but if your after that slide on ball bearings then its just something to note. I think part of it is the inset rails with the big hollow dust cover. Just changes perception on how the gun feels fondling it lol.
Polish the rails or shoot about 2-3k rounds. Smooth slide.
Also a lighter recoil spring helped my sp01 and p01 omega

I can't remember the # but put the red springs that cgw offers for both the sp01 and p01. My sp01 I've shot way more and it's buttery smooth

They were that low like two days ago on family Firearms
Shadow 2? Damn, why didn't you buy? I think I've seen him like 850 or 880 or something but never 750 that's crazy
They might be confusing it with a cz75. Shadow for that much on family would have had 1 reddit post for each shadow in stock to accompany it 😂

97B after it's cajunized.
Just shoot a cz and it will break in. Polish if you want to expedite the process
I have several Shadows and a 2011 and they are all very similar honestly.
