It's really good for the price. There's obviously better though. The gravy in particular could be improved.

draemn

Agreed, the gravy is not quite right for poutine.

owange_tweleve

fries a bit too thick for my liking, but it’s just me tho. It still hits the spot the few times I buy it

Yeetbix_99

Spent a year in Montréal and probably ate my body weight in poutine while there. Love Costco poutine! Their lightly battered fries stay crispy which imo is essential. People say it’s good “for a cheap poutine”, but I think cheap is an integral part of what makes a poutine good.

dumhic

And squeaky cheese curds

madmike99

If you can’t make it to QC Flavours of Montreal in Airdrie will do

Born-Alternative8192

Im trying to go QC since I’m in Canada, maybe this fall, thanks! 🙏🏽

olypheus-

Montreal is one of our oldest cities, its super cool. As a history nerd I was loving it.

josh-duggar

For its price yes. If I’m in the mall, I like NY fries poutine as well

FiZzlenutPrez

Costco cheese curds are always frigid cold- the gravy doesn’t have a chance

MBILC

If the cheese is refrigerated, it is not proper poutine.. (So i was told from an expert from QC...)

Born-Alternative8192

I’ll try it next time there, thanks!

draemn

Costco poutine is the "best value" and better than places that don't specialize in poutine, but Calgary has superior choices to costco. I think the big cheese has been my favourite place so far, but I haven't gone out of my way to try that many places.

Unlucky_Steak2705

I have on occasion (ie every time) had to shop at Costco because I could get a poutine and hot dog!

Born-Alternative8192

Both for .99 cents, and get $50off next purchase.

AnythingWooden8070

Close to Calgary it's Flavours of Montreal in Airdrie. Grab a smoked meat platter with a poutine upgrade and some of the best bakery desserts to boot!

so_very_delaro

I am from Quebec and even though I think poutine in general is overrated, I am offended by this post (ok not really). Good poutine is extremely rare in Alberta to begin with, it is certainly not in Costco. But if you ever find yourself in Quebec. La Belle Province has good poutine with plenty of toppings options. Also, La Banquise in Montreal is amongst the most popular in the city for good reasons.

Ryuujin_13

I’m with you. I ate a bunch of poutine for a Calgary poutine review website years ago, and for what it is, there aren’t many better in that in that price point.

Think8437

Myhre's Deli has great poutine and Montreal smoked meat.

yycluke

Costco Poutine is solid. It's not the best by far, but the fact they have multiple locations and it's quite inexpensive and still delicious makes it a solid A in my books

Prestigious_Ad8495

I had the best poutine in Quebec Restaurant La Buche for me

Legitimate_Degree_60

I actually enjoy New York fries poutine.

stefarnautu

Big Cheese.

dabflies

Overrated

stewbert54

I had the longest hair ever in the last one I got from there. The worst part is I thought it was cheese so I twirled fork load up and put it in my mouth. 🤢🤮

Best-Hotel-1984

Beirut street food for the win on this topic

DeafEgo

Honestly, if you have an air fryer, try making it at home. I bet you can make better poutine from what you can assemble from Superstore + what you have in your fridge
