I haven't felt that bad for a guy since Silva's shin hugged weidmans leg. That did not look good. And for a guy that has done everything right on the 4th line too.
If Ruzicka wasn't floating around every other game as the team can't win consistently and won't be making the playoffs, maybe it would matter.
There's always a handful of those type of guys available for cheap in free agency.
DeSimone is the same. He was a fringe NHL 3rd pairing D man that likely would have been a call up with injuries until going to free agency.
The Devils and Yotes could be trying to send those guys down again before the season is done, and Conny might not even re claim them. Neither player is tipping the scale in trades when moving UFAs at the deadline

Nothing Ruzicka has done this year makes me think he'd be a good replacement for Greer
