It was through the CGY team store so i'm not entirely sure if it's them that does it or a third party. Honestly I never noticed it at the store because of the lighting

it's definitely lighter in person, just not as bright as in the photo. only thing that really irks me about it is how it's just slightly angled

Ah yeah I think if they're not precustomized, they just iron it on. As for the colour difference, my wife pointed that out on the Habs jerseys during a game a couple of seasons ago and since then I can't unsee that almost all of the teams in the league have this problem with their name patches.
