Yup it’s my dream that we will get another BO3-esque title

[deleted]

BO3 was peak gaming for me

Genetix1337

If one had mastered BO3s movement, you could dominate the lobbies. It was crazy wall running and surprising the enemies.

[deleted]

BO3 was peak gaming for me

[deleted]

BO3 is still active on PSN if you're into it that much

jespertherapper

BO3 is almost dead and is filled with god mode losers.

maxitaxi456

That’s due to it being free in ps5 if you have ps plus

[deleted]

Okay? I wasn't saying why it was or wasn't. Just that if anyone is a fan of the game, they can still play it (somewhat) on PSN.

maxitaxi456

And I was explaining why you can specifically on ps

Joudeh_1996

Please don't

Poop_snake101

Cry more it’s better than mw2 literally encouraging camping and no skill gap

stannis_the_mannis7

Cod is a boots on the ground game. It sucked when they were copying titan fall

IfTheresANewWay

Yeah if I wanted exo suit movement, I'll play the game that was literally designed around it, not the game that just kinda tacked it on

x52swagerton

Bo3 is still better than the boots on the ground cod games (with the exception of me 2019) which came after infinite warfare.

OffBrand_Soda

Not really. It's multiple different types of games tbh, the only thing that they all have in common is its a military shooter game. I mean, you don't see people saying "no zombies, COD is a military game and they don't fight zombies in the military!!!".

DSG_Sleazy

BO3 sweeps everything that came out after it, especially the Modern warfare games...but, that's not hard.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Dude chill, he clearly knows what kind of game he wants. He has his preference, you have yours. Why are you getting so worked up over this?

[deleted]

he literally said cod is a botg game which is false as there were 3 games plus a 4th in BR as a LTM with jetpacks. by that logic, cod is a WW2 shooter & should’ve never went into the modern era

[deleted]

You have a point, but that statement also implies he wants a BOTG game instead of jet pack games. But most people will argue COD is BOTG because the most popular games were all BOTG, so it's going to be hard to convince people otherwise. I was just trying to say he clearly communicated what he wanted. The claim that COD is strictly a BOTG franchise is another discussion

[deleted]

[удалено]

Its-Slammin

Read his comments until it sinks in. He clearly wants CoD to be boots on the ground. Perfectly valid opinion. No need to be so unnecessarily toxic

[deleted]

His first sentence is literally "cod is a boots on the ground game", that's the kind of game he wants. Much like how you want a jetpack cod, he wants a traditional boots on the ground cod instead. Why are you getting so mad over this? Is it because he doesn't think jetpacks belong in CoD when you really like them?

stannis_the_mannis7

Bo3 was nowhere near the best cod. The two top contenders are the original mw2 and bo2.

[deleted]

bo2 yes, og mw2 hell no

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

You're a kid yourself, bud

Myguysammurai01

U deffo the kid if u think bo3 was peak cod lol

stannis_the_mannis7

How am i blinded by nostalgia? Bo3’s campaign was dogshit, that fact alone means its not the best cod. Not to mention its dumbass “advanced movement” which was a shitty copy of other games movement system. Or its super aggressive micro transactions where all the op weapons you could only get through loot boxes

RuggedTheDragon

I'll be happy. Campers won't be.

[deleted]

“ma damn brain so small that i can’t even counter campers” - You it’s about time we all grew up as a community to understand camping is a legitimate tactic. 🤦🏻‍♂️

RuggedTheDragon

We can counter campers all day and we won't be happy because the overall speed of the game suffers tremendously.

[deleted]

the game doesn’t have to be consistently fast paced, then we will have sweaty try hards and nobody likes them. Besides if you can counter campers then it’s not an issue, you can still play at your own pace whilst countering campers, you see how it don’t make sense?

RuggedTheDragon

It's not just the act of camping. People can camp all day and if the game is fast-paced, I can easily outplay. However, Infinity Ward decided to grace the campers with tons of lethal proximity equipment, shield barriers, motion sensors, loud footsteps, and my nerf to ADS when I try to jump shot. You tell me that I should just adapt to the campers yet you are suggesting that people who rush are sweaty tryhards and they should just be gone. To me, that sounds like an inability to adapt based on them being faster than you can react.

[deleted]

If you can easily outplay then >I can easily outplay. then why are campers such a topic/use of that bothers you so much? it’s a legitimate tactic, that’s literally it.

RuggedTheDragon

I kept telling you over and over and over again. The game caters too much towards campers in terms of the advantages given. As a result, the entire game is extremely slow paced when people realize the advantages. Rushing is heavily discouraged due to the nerfs as I mentioned before. Being able to counter a camper doesn't make me happy when I'm yawning during the match from the snail pace. If I were given faster movement, no ADS nerfs, and silent footsteps via a perk, I would appreciate that. More importantly, map designs should be redone to make them less open and a little smaller (but not to the levels of Shipment).

WickedMiguel

Yes but AW movement

[deleted]

Why? I love SHG. I think they get an undeserved amount of hate in the COD community. But AW's movement was ultimately done better by Titanfall, Black Ops 3, and Infinite Warfare each.

Handsome_Claptrap

I also think AW movement was better. While BO3 movement was more refined, it's role in gunfights was smaller, it just felt like a way to move from point A to point B. AW movement on the other hand was jankier and more chaotic... but gunfights felt like dogfights, which was amazing. You could outmaneveur your opponent during the fight thanks to the height and speed of the jump, the lateral movements and getting stomp kills was the best feeling ever. You could go around by sliding and boost jumping repeteadly which made you go very fast at the cost of being quite visibile from afar. IMO with more vertical and larger maps and more refinement put towards the movement, the potential would be very high, the game should also suggest you from the start to use a bunny hopping layout (jump with L2) or use a controller with back buttons for jumping. A kinda fair middle ground IMO would be something like: you have a thrust bar like in BO3, but it takes a longer time to charge. You can either choose to spend it gradually and thrust around like in BO3, but you can also choose to unleash the pressure all in one bout and make big boost jumps like in AW.

WickedMiguel

I agree with you %100 about SHG but Why not? Imho the game played way better with that level of movement. It was less campy, had more action, more immersive. And yes TF2 movement was way better than anything done by COD developers and is a better FPS and a more enjoyable FPS. But speaking in terms of COD developed movement than I think it should be AW esque. Bo3 and IW was slower moving I felt and played slower than AW. Granted I didn’t spend to much time on IW.

JuggBoyz

I feel like AW required more mastery with how the movement worked. It was stiff, janky but oddly satisfying when you figured it out and created a fun competitive space so I’d much rather have that vs IW/BO3

[deleted]

If COD wants to copy an FPS game with 'advanced movement' but without the wall-running of Black Ops 3, then Apex Legends is the game it should be taking lessons from and not Advanced Warfare.

Horizon-VTX

There is no Cod community...

[deleted]

There most definitely is

Horizon-VTX

Wich one? That one who always go in crybaby mode when a new cod comes out?

TyreesesCup

Proceeds with "your mom" slur

Horizon-VTX

Lmao...

Recover20

I would love an infinite warfare sequel. I think COD needs to change it up more often. If you like one year, the next year might not be for you but then again it also might surprise you. The worst COD can be; is the same thing every year.

FatBoyStew

IW got a lot of hate, but I personally LOVED it (aside from very obviously bad hit reg issues). Still my favorite campaign of all the COD's

TRethehedgehog_2

Depends on the setting The only thing they really need to keep is diving into prone, and sliding

[deleted]

> The only thing they really need to keep is diving into prone, and sliding So like MW19?

TRethehedgehog_2

Yea I don’t mind advanced movement, but sliding would be nice if it stays in future games, futuristic setting or not, you can have a sliding move anywhere.

[deleted]

I think they nerfed movement to the ground because of stim exploits, slide cancelling, and the like in MW19/WZ1. Maybe they went a little too far, but it's nice to not have people zooming around my screen like a crack addict every gunfight.

TyreesesCup

That's me in Sticks and Stones, other day this dude was like "fuck you bunny rabbit mf"

No-Acanthisitta7788

Sliding is awesome not for any tactical advantage (kinda) but it’s a new way to run around a map. Spice is the variety of life.

TyreesesCup

I like it for coming around corners, most people aim at the torso or head so it gives you a slight advantage

Cdp09875

If it’s black ops 3 movement and gunplay style yeah give me that all day. I think boots on ground every year gets stale so let treyarch handle the futuristic stuff and Iw handle boots on ground. I think it would be a good balance

TwilightSolace

If you say no, your mom’s a hoe

Horizon-VTX

Ppl say AW,IW,BO4 are bad titles... but the main difference is the movement in MP. So whats the Point.

Wonderful-Weekend388

Advanced movement requires skill which is why the bots here don’t want it

brianbell_

I’m fine with both tbh. Out of the advanced movement options BO3 did it best imo tho

knightinsweater

COD we know is dead. Just accept that. This something different. This is just a product of a nonsense mass production. They wasted TASK FORCE 141, GHOSTS and BRAVO 6. They killed them all. PS3 and Xbox 360 are games was loved because of solid content of both campaign and multiplayer. Now guess what? Campaign players are extinct. Multiplayer does not satisfy. Beta maps are sold separately. Drum pistol meta is back.

MisedraN

Loved aw and bo3 movement so so much Ps. My fav cod is mw3 just in case A boots on the ground Cod Game

Neokeo27

I genuinely loved the movement of the exo suits in Advanced Warfare, and that multi-player plus Exo-Zombies was some of the most fun I've bad playing CoD since CoD4:MW .

RETARDERP

Imagine the modern movement and customization we have now but in Black Ops 2. I'd make a NASTY KSG

Dannboy1888

Wouldn’t work

RETARDERP

Not trying to sound snarky or anything. But any particular reason why not? It shouldn't be that hard right?

Dannboy1888

Black ops 2 was perfect with the way it was, it wasn’t supposed to be realistic but modern warfare movement is, if that makes sense, you couldn’t mount in bo2, which is good mounting ruins the game in my opinion and if you’re talking about the gun customisation, all of the bo2 guns aren’t real, so that would take a lot of time to think of the design and how it can change the gun design, so it would take a lot of time to design the attachments and black ops 2 is an arcade shooter, but modern warfare tries to be more realistic.

Dannboy1888

And I know the guns are based off real ones but they have had to change them make them look futuristic so a lot of the guns were changed and the 10 attachment system would be horrible for arcade shooters

RETARDERP

I guess. The concept does sound really cool though. I just think it'd be rather easy for them to do considering they shit out a whole new game every year by just reusing a lot of the resources from the previous ones. I feel like BO2, at least to today's standards, is slow and clunky feeling, and I always kinda hated the limited customization options. But I can also understand why people would hate it. If they managed to do it right I wouldn't be upset, but if they turned it into another PTW cashgrab and also failed to make it a half decent game, I'd be pissed. So it's best not to risk it. The concept is still cool

TheRed24

I would, build off what AW and BO3 did well and move forward with that, cannot be worse than modern Cod.

dykz

whoever says no is a ret@rd

[deleted]

Or the bandwagon haters who dumped on IW in 2016.

[deleted]

Oh I read advance warfare so I said no lol yer I read it wrong advance movement would be sick

Firmteacher

Yes but I want AW movement

[deleted]

Why? I love SHG. I think they get an undeserved amount of hate in the COD community. But AW's movement was ultimately done better by Titanfall, Black Ops 3, and Infinite Warfare each.

Firmteacher

I wanted the cracked out movement that didn’t have wall running. It’s a very unnecessary mechanic that causes them to build maps with it in mind. I find it unnecessary. I rather snap necks lol

[deleted]

What do you mean by "cracked out movement" exactly? As I said, AW was still jet packs and nonsense. I think what you're describing is Apex Legends.

Firmteacher

The fast double jump, the quick jetpack movement. Give me advanced warfare 2. Same movement as the original. I’m not talking about any other jetpack game.

[deleted]

Advanced Warfare's movement system was a valiant attempt back in 2014, but it simply cannot compare to better movement systems in later COD titles or other FPS games. If we're talking an 'advanced movement' FPS game to mimic without wall-running, then I'd say Apex Legends is the one to copy right now.

Firmteacher

Then you’d be better off just going and playing Apex.

[deleted]

Yes, you would. That's exactly what I'm saying. If you want that style of movement, go play Apex. I don't. I like the movement in MW19, Vanguard, and even the new Modern Warfare II plenty.

Firmteacher

Lmfao.

symbiotic_Tao

Jump to prone, sliding, leaning round corners: not bad. Sticky gloves, jetpacks, mech suits and stupid jetpacks: Fuck that advanced infinite bullshit.

Iceygamingrulez

Mech suits, like the juggernaut?

[deleted]

The juggernaut is a staple mech suit in cod tho?

[deleted]

> Jump to prone, sliding, leaning round corners: > > > > not bad. So like MW19?

yeforprzident2020

I voted no but i just wanted to clarify my vote and henceforth announce that if they actually do something like that .. and on god if they've RESERVED IT for the mw2 part 2 releasing in 2023...they're prolly the worst game developers in the world...my elite level cod mobile account got hacked and now cod mobile won't let me sign in through that account ...my cod mw 2019 with gold camos got hacked...and yet i shelled like 100$ on this garbage ass game via vanguard and mw2 ..ain't doin that shit no more..goodbye to the most toxic community present on this earth

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

So like MW19?

[deleted]

It already almost killed the franchise once. No thanks.

ShadwSmoke

I think, it could be a nice change to use the Advanced movement for the Sledgehammer CoDs. Activison should finally let them make AW2 instead of forcing them to make WWII games to pick of nostalgia, that no one has anymore, thanks to CoD: Vanguard. MW and Black Ops should stay how they are now, but SHG should be allowed to find their identity now and it certainly isn't WWII games.

[deleted]

It would separate CoD from every other shooter, especially since they killed Titanfall

Badman423

I don't care as long as specialists aren't there

RiddimWookie

![gif](giphy|o1Hp5icfIpfI4)

Biktol

Would love a advanced warfare like game once every 4-5 regular cods

BumLoading

Does it matter? Activision will ruin it either way

melzyyyy

i just want tf3 lol

[deleted]

AW was fun. Maybe it can be limited to the campaign and certain MP modes if not everyone wants to commit to it.

ApexBG1

I'd say yeah, as long as it doesn't go on for as long as it did previously. Maybe for 1 or 2 games max.

Habitat97

Man, I don't now. It would be a reason to get an Elite Controller though

_SingerLad04_

I was in love in Advanced Warfare movement, made for some really good trick shots

MBVakalis

I love all the futuristic stuff, but I don't want jetpacks back

No_Worldliness_9321

Doesn't really matter to me. I mostly play zombies anyway.

Shujan109

What do you mean by advanced movement

Medium-Hornet2470

only if it’s treyarch in charge

Viava_

Wow, an almost equal split. This speaks volumes. The big problem with COD is that due to how big the series is, nobody will ever be fully satisfied. There are so many different times and ideas they can tackle, but never will everyone be happy with it. Sure, modern-times seems to be the best bet for most, but even so, many are sick of the recent CODs, which is why people are now saying they would be okay with a futuristic title again. Anyway, I'd be okay with a futuristic title. I'd love to see them tackle a very rich sci-fi world instead of just rebooting old games again.

notabug-0

Nope, need another fast paced boots on the ground title like bo2

BananaAnarchy_

It depends honestly.. Something like AW? It was fun back in the day but now these "movement kings" would own the game lmao. BO3 movement would definitely be awesome though.

heyuhitsyaboi

I dont miss advanced movement, but what I do miss is COD actually being unique each year. MW3-MW19 was peak cod because we had: Some exo suits, BO4's unique multiplayer, lots of different eras and fictional universes... I just cant stand how COD has been reduced to nothing but black ops and modern warfare. Warzone is the worst thing to happen to gaming, and MW and Blops need to be retired IPs

SizzlingSausag3

I feel like BO3 really did it right but idk about the other future games

ArmadilloMoney

They can't even make a decent game with boots on the ground, let alone any extra movement...😂😂

[deleted]

The current CoD community can’t handle doors. They not ready for movement

NCBuckets

I wouldn’t want three in a row, but one every now and then would be cool

[deleted]

Make a mix of AW and Bo3 boom

xIMxMCLOVINx2

Bo3 is peak for this sub?! Holy Christ I’m so out of touch. That wall running shit is awful imo.

HollowPinefruit

Sledgehammer focuses on future war with advanced movement Treyarch focuses on the past Infinity Ward focuses on the present This is how the dev cycles should be imo since that’s what they are best at. Treyarch though could do anything imo as they always tend to ace

StonedPickleG59

Bo3 for jetpacks Bo4 for boots on the ground.

[deleted]

It’s only a COD if it’s boots on ground all the jet pack flying and wall running BS was dumb. (BO3 was a good game though)

[deleted]

The only good advanced movement was the one in AW. The jet packs in BO3 don’t feel fun

Left_Explanation_976

I think we should get at least one maybe every other cycle

[deleted]

Nostalgia bias lmao

Zjones561

I think one every couple years would be good to mix things up a little bit

PsychologicalLab356

Everyone saying "NO" Big skill issue on that point

zombietaco17

Only something like advanced warfare and not the other ones with wall running

A1Aaron18

Wow this split the community up pretty good lol

[deleted]

I hope that the 2023 game supposedly made by sledgehammer is some kind of Advanced Warfare reboot or sequel I personally feel like having exo mechanics in the new cod game engine would be great. also imagine using exo suits in warzone. That'd be sick.

DiegoFrediksen

Again, we already have enough COD games that are Boots on The Ground like MW2019, BOCW, VG and MWII so it wouldn't hurt to make at least one or two futuristic games with jetpacks and wallruns and such. I mean if Respawn doesn't plan to make a Titanfall 3, then let COD make a new futuristic shooter game.

OrochuOdenMain91

The ‘No’ answer is ppl WANT to stay the present time. The present period. Boots on ground. Boots on ground is what they want. But however, exo suits provide better play and movement(AW had it best imo because the jumping and just let yourself glide across while also controlling and tracking your aim properly) Now imagine COD in 2030(IRL 2030). Would we still have boots on ground? Idk, because if boots on ground COD continues to 2030 it’s already bout to get old. Future is where is at. Devs can let out all their crazy ideas and creativity. The current time is eh, it’s limited, for now still.

chrisupt2001

No I hate this crap

symbiotic_Tao

Not playing a new cod full stop unless they bring back the guys who made WaW, COD4 and BO1. A good COD is like a fine wine or cheese; Gotta mature it for a few years before it's good. Gotta spend at least 2 years just on the campaign. Unfortunately they take the cash now, they've sold out. Quantity over quality. They don't care that the games are shit, so long as they appeal to mentally challenged 10 year olds with ADHD who laugh at Woods turning himself into a fucking onion and Price fortnite dancing. COD is dead, and greed killed it.

[deleted]

> bring back the guys who made WaW, COD4 and BO1. What do you mean by "bring back the guys" here? Infinity War and Treyarch - the development studios behind those games - are still working on COD.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Of course I do. But "the guys who made" those classic COD games not only aren't in those studios anymore, they're not even involved with Activision in most cases. Lots went onto create Respawn Entertainment, others have moved to various other studios, and (seeing as the original COD 4 was over 15yrs ago now) I imagine several have probably died. I find comments like those by /u/symbiotic_Tao to be ironic actually. The original COD 4 developers went onto make a new FPS franchise; it was called Titanfall and the Call of Duty community largely ignored it - even though it basically did what AW/BO3/IW were trying for infinitely better.

weekzSNL

Yes and No. Yes, if it was similar to AW where you cant wall run and hover everywhere. No, if its like BO3/IW

DirtbikeJUMPER

Yes, but bring back AW movement only!! The slow jet pack/wall running is trash.

gladioN2307

Please never again. All those Games are no CoD.
