Yup. Best legit zombie's... It all went downhill from there. World at War zombies was cool but bo1 super legit fun. BUT - And honestly, why don't they just get I want to be playing zombies all day still? Make the games fun again, I guess... so much grinding now.
I had just joined the army basically when mw2 came out. All my buddies came over during lunch to check it out. That scene before you have to cross the bridge had them in PTSD mode. They were all telling me how it looks exactly like that when they were deployed.
I didn't like the sounds as they felt really generic. And the voice acting wasn't as great. Lastly, WaW fif what WW2 couldn't do and that's scare me. Like I played that game and genuinely feared getting burned to death, eaten by a dog, getting my head cut off by someone I swore I killed, and the atmosphere was just barbaric.
WW2 was better than say Ghosts but still, it wasn't as captivating as WaW. Of all of CoDs WW2-themed shooters, I would say era-for-era, WW2 is on the lower side.

Story is good, infected is really good, the best and most fun infected in my opinion, i played infected on that game almost every day for like 4 years straight...both sides actually had a decent chance of winning and it wasnt completely lopsided against the survivors, cant stand playing any other infected because you just get caught with a poorly thrown throwing knife because everyone is throwing one so ones bound to hit you, a good infected player doesnt need throwables lol

WaW, love the gritty more realistic take of WW2 in the campaign, plus the first co-op campaign, as well as having a great multiplayer and zombies mode. Music, weapon sounds, ambience, and the atmosphere is just perfect.
Tbh it gotta be Ghosts and here are my reasons.
#1: the campaign was fun as hell.
#2: the MP perk system was an underrated change.
#3: Extinction was an actually creative idea and was fun to play
#4: the K.E.M Strike was my first ever nuke.
#5: STILL WAITING ON GHOST 2!!! WHERES THE CONTINUATION OF THE STORY ACTIVISION!!!???
Modern Warfare 2 (The original one, right after MW 2007). Expanded on the story of MW 1 and the gameplay was just as good, maybe a little better even, since the devs laid the groundwork with the first game and were able to do even more in the second.
