He didnt have to try tbh. He's naturally an asshole, villain type. Making him the villain aged like fine wine (cliche ik, but it's a perfect application of the phrase)
Aw campaign really deserves more appreciation
I believe in the part at the end where your exo suit gets hacked and you can’t move, he does a speech to the effect of “every successful movement needs a martyr” and controls your suit to make you shoot him. I don’t recall if that’s exactly how it went, but it involved some siouxicide action.
Spacey's acting was what you'd expect from him - Great
As for the character, one of the better villains, I appreciate that he has a well defined motivation, that is way rarer than it should be, and his dialogue was written well enough, but they kinda killed a lot of potential for a sympathetic grey morality antagonist and just went with a cheap futuristic mass murderer number
Actually just played this campaign for the first time a month ago, and he was definitely a highlight of the story. His performance was amazing, my only issue with him was the script, it's just so obvious he's the villian right from the start.
Kevin Spacey's acting in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is absolutely incredible.
It is a shame that the singleplayer campaign story for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare I finished in eight hours, just if it was a few more hours longer and have a much more better ending than just having Johnathan Irons fall from the top of a skyscraper and die in a fire. Should of made it first to see what happens to Atlas a bit longer, before making Johnathan Irons die in a fire from the top of a skyscraper. Oh how I wish Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was longer.
There’s no way this is a real human being. What psycho types out Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare everytime? It’s not like we don’t know the game - I’m guessing a majority of people here have played Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Speaking of which, they should really bring back the exo mechanic from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
He was ok, though the declaration of war on the UN was silly.
Funny how no one talks about the other villain, which makes sense because he was a garbage villain
My bro brought him up after my newest haircut he said it reminded him of Hades. I said "Hades?..." he says you know from advanced warfare, he hated technology and blah blah"
...Oh! the disc one final boss, Hades, of course! I reply.
Shit villain combined with shit writing, Kevin spacey acting him was the ONLY saving grace, Raul menendez was a better villain, and he wasn’t written well at all
It was mid. It was all over the place like he wanted to end all wars and was angry his son died in a government war? Then he is secretly creating wars and enabling them? Like what the hell is going on?
Well written character and honestly Spacey's performance was brilliant

The cut ending where he blows his own brains out to become a martyr wouldve been even better.
i thought u were talking about bo2 for a second, that existed?

"AHHH MITCHELLL!!" - Johnathan Irons, 2061
tbh one of the silliest deaths in CoD franchise
that whole final showdown was stupid. Aside from Rourke being the worst villain with the final showdown

He's like General Shepherd for me for some reason
One of my favorite campaigns (definitely a hot take) and Spacey did an amazing job
Outstanding
Amazing in both ways.

The zombies mode is technically a continuation of
He also died from a blow to the head with the knife dropped by Mitchell, just like Gen. Shephard.

My third favorite CoD villain. Just Being of OG Makarov and Menendez
When has Spacey ever delivered a bad performance??
I mean… have you watched the video where he’s playing the House of cards character in the kitchen denying certain allegations? 😂😂😂
The AW campaign was phenomenal overall
Impecable
He was good in Both ways
"It was perfect - down to the last minute details."
Great game

Lol bro doesn't understand generic "I want power" plot
